My Chef catered our office Grand Reopening. Not only were they super accommodating leading up, but they were professional, timely and overall great to work with. The food was delicious, got lots of compliments. We had some last minute requests that they were helpful in making happen. Thank you to the whole staff at My Chef!
We had My Chef Catering for our wedding. Food was fantastic and service was very professional. There was a bit of a hiccup with regards to zabiha (akin to kosher) food but the vendor worked with us to sort it out. Desserts were delicious as well. Well worth the price; My Chef was very reasonable and of equivalent quality to much more expensive caterers.
I cannot say enough about how bad this experience was. Staff acted inconvenienced by my questions and expectations. Multiple people were working on my account, when I finally got one person, she was too busy or annoyed to answer all my questions and send me revised proposals. I would not reccomend them. Clients getting married should be treated with celebration. We were not.
Alex Van Peenen and all of the My Chef catering crew were fantastic! Alex went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect, which was especially awesome during this crazy time of COVID. Outstanding! From the moment i called them they were responsive and ready to help me. They did Hors d'oeuvres for my wifes 40th birthday serving 70 people. Planned and ready in less than a week. They showed up early to our venue Warehouse 109 in Plainfield. Were very nice during set up and even had Stephanie on site during set up. Then during the birthday party the servers were outstanding. Great with the guests and didnt leave anyone hungry. They were excellent with the serving and with the clean up. Never a dirty plate or napkin left out. Really was way better than I expected. They even had candles that I had forgotten for the cake and helped me out that way. The food served and the meat tray were great! People loved the shrimp cocktail shooters and the beef skewers.

Had a wonderful experience with My Chef from start to finish. Had 16 for a birthday party in our home with bartender and server. Great food, they took care of all from set up to clean up, allowing us to enjoy the evening with our guests.

We worked extensively with My Chef throughout our wedding process. We started with a tasting where we selected foods out of several categories- I'll say now that the meal we had that day was hands down the best I've ever had. The food was made to perfected, presented to us nicely, and they were quick to offer changes or suggestions if we seemed to be stuck on something. Susan Jacobs especially is a person I cannot say enough good things about. She was helpful, mindful of the stress I was under trying to plan everything else, and just a wonderful person to talk to- I felt like she was a family member to me on my wedding day and it meant a lot that she was there.
Ultimately, the food is to die for and I would recommend them for any event being planned, not just a wedding. They are professional, kind, and genuinely want the best for you on your big day. If we have any further events, they are the first ones I will call for our catering needs.
Just used My Chef Catering for the very first time on November 30, 2018 to feed a group of 16 people. The food was outstanding and everyone came back for seconds and thirds. It was such a success that I already placed another order. It was so easy to work with Waldo and his entire staff. Once you try this company you won't need to look any further.
My Chef was the perfect choice from beginning to end. Our rep Amanda was extremely helpful anytime we had a question or sent out a last minute email. The staff on the day of were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent especially since we had some restrictions at our venue. My Chef also provided a tasting prior to us signing the contract which really gave us a better feel for the company and the food we'd be expecting. With so much going on during our wedding, My Chef made it simple to enjoy our big day. Thank you so much!
My Chef was incredible, from the food to the service, everything was perfect. Sue is awesome! We worked with MyChef through our venue and I m so glad they re partnered with such a great company. From the first time she reached out, she was understanding and accommodating. We met in August for our tasting for a June wedding. We knew almost nothing about what we wanted but she was patient with us. We went with a couple who had just gotten married and got to try SO MUCH FOOD. Everything was delicious and she had a great system for determining which ones were the most well liked among the group. We made our picks, decided to hold off on linens until we had a better understanding of our vision, and went on our way.
Well, a lot changes from August to June. I requested a few changes to the menu and Sue was supportive and accommodating of each one.
We decided to pick linens at an event our venue hosted (included with our package) and Sue had a couple people there helping with linen choices. Seeing the linens in the venue was so helpful- but boy was I a pain to Sue and her crew! I think we walked from the back of the venue to the front about a dozen times with different swatches. They didn t seem to mind one bit.
Every time we saw Sue, she recognized us and treated us like we were two of her favorite people. It s always great to feel special when wedding planning, especially when you realize these people deal with brides every single day.

Wow! I am blown away by MyChef! They catered my wedding at Danada House this July, and everything was perfect! Dominic and Jessica were fantastic. Where do I begin our experience with My Chef from start to finish was amazing. Dominick and Kendall were always there to answer my questions, emails and made sure the experience was stress and worry free. Dominick was very kind and willing to work with us on creating a great food experience for our guests while staying in our budget. The tasting was amazing, the food at wedding was amazing and their desserts are a must have (I would recommend the cheesecake shots!!). My chef attention to detail the day of our wedding at Wilder Mansion on 6/8/14 just brought everything together from linens to the tea candles enhanced our wedding decor. They even brought appetizers out to us while we took pictures so bridal party did not miss out. We were happy to have Dominick there the day of the wedding he made sure everything went flawlessly. Our guests said they have never been to a wedding where the food was so AMAZING. Thank you everyone at My Chef for being there to make our wedding day complete and providing us with extraordinary service. We used My Chef for my son's Bar Mitzvah. It was pure luck that I found them and I couldn't have been happier. Dana was terrific to work with and was responsive right from the beginning. As an example, any adjustment to our needs that was made was immediately documented and recorded.
The food was great - appetizers and main courses. But, most of all Dana and her on site team's professionalism was really appreciated. Their set up was on point and wonderful and the staff and service were fantastic.
I can't thank them enough for making the catering portion of our event perfect and stress-free. I recommend them to anyone looking for catering services.

I had My Chef Catering prepare the food for a Bridal Shower I was hosting. Everyone raved about the food! Women usually don't eat much at a shower but people were going for seconds. With Deb Hamilton's help and suggestions, we created a menu to accommodate multiple food allergies. The Chef was meticulous in preparation and packaging of the food. My only disappointment was that there wasn't more food left over. There is no one else I would hire to cater any gathering I host in the future.
My Chef Exceeded All of Our Expectations! I am not just the mother of the bride, but also a wedding coordinator, and I have worked with many caterers. Of all of them, the caterer I chose was My Chef. We were able to bring some of our own linens and desserts in without a hitch. The day of was simply amazing, Amanda coordinated everything beautifully and made on the spot decisions which were first class and seemless while being very amiable with guests and others. The staff was extremly professional and served the headtable with such class. The food was absolutely delicious with no complaints from any of or table or the guests. They were so kind and honest as to give my extened family extra orders of food that they brought and were not eaten. During the whole wedding process and day of, Amanda truly helped run the whole wedding reception and made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. Had a "Ladies Night Out" event at my chiropractic office (Illinois Wellness Group), and called on My Chef to help with all aspects of transforming a small medical clinic into a venue in which we could entertain and spoil prospective and current clients. My Chef was phenomenal in helping to organize everything, from the color scheme and table linens, rental of equipment, and incredible food. At the last minute, my staff made changes to our order, and My Chef came through with flying colors, adapting to our request and even making a special trip to deliver additional supplies and more food as the event turned out to draw more than we had estimated. My husband and I chose My Chef Catering after recommendations from previous clients and we are so glad we did! My Chef was so professional through our entire process and our coordinator, Stephanie H., was INCREDIBLE! My husband and I got married at Ovation in Chicago and Stephanie put all my nerves at east prior to our wedding, answering all my anxious-bride emails/questions kindly and promptly. In addition to the fabulous food (all of our guests raved about how delicious our hors d oeuvres and plated dinners were), Stephanie and her staff single-handedly flipped our ceremony/dinning area in only an hours time and it was STUNNING. I am not exaggerating when I say that Stephanie and the My Chef team executed my dream wedding vision and made me the happiest bride on our special day. As if all of this were not enough, the My Chef staff were all incredibly professional and the service was impeccable (many guests noted that the servers all dropped the plates at the exact same time (like in the movies!) and it looked amazing). Lastly, in addition to making sure the dinning room looked stunning, My Chef also provided beautiful extra touches that only elevated the intimacy and class of our wedding. Honestly, My Chef was the first and only caterer we contacted. We received a great impression first from Waldo. He emailed us back within 24 hours of our inquiry. We could tell he was excited to hear from us, and even mentioned key items we wanted to honor for our wedding theme.
We were then connected with Stephanie. She was attentive, she encouraged us to be creative, and most importantly she wasn't pushy or opinionated. Stephanie took great notes, which she referred to frequently at our meetings. She was also excited to help us out, excited to see our vision come to life. She was honestly one of our favorite people to speak with during our wedding planning process. About two weeks before our wedding, Stephanie had a baby! Although we thought this was a fiasco, Jessica stepped in and took care of us. All of our needs, our vision, and our requirements were fulfilled. We had a beautiful reception.
I have yet to speak about the main reason we went with My Chef: the food! We chose to serve both salmon with a beurre blanc, and Mediterranean style chicken with tomatoes. Not one person left a clean plate. Every guest was happy with our food choices. We also had five appetizers, our favorites were the crab cakes and bacon-wrapped scallops. Every staff member was super nice to not only us, but to our guests. Like I said before, not one person had a bad thing to say about the food or staff at My Chef. I would fully recommend My Chef to any couple who is looking for attentive staff, excellent food, and budget friendly menu options.
12/25 and 12/31 came out amazing. Everyone would not stop commenting on how good it all was and from where did I get it and how do I go about getting it. So my Chef was the star of the evening. Thx so much Deb!!

I would LOVE to give it 5 stars but just can t do it. The food was fantastic but the portion size was absolutely ridiculous. We catered this for Easter dinner and you pretty much had a child s portion. For the price we were charged for the amount of food we got was not even close. Disappointed
