CAW, a very solid community college located in a dying city. Just a small warning for new students who are especially looking for a social atmosphere. There is very little to do, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you are. Which is why I find it surprising that there is large amount of people from NYC who decide to dorm here caw caw. There's...literally nothing...a casino that is 40 mins away...but that's about it.
I would recommend it caw caw just as long as you know what you're getting yourself into caw caw.
It is a small College but like everything else in life, you get out of it what you are willing to put in, the professors were very supportive. So glad I got my nursing degree from there. It has afforded me a great successful rewarding career. Will be forever grateful!
Mediocre at best, place is like a ghost town. It really is a shame to see so many resources and wonderful experiences being put on hold.
Janitor bought me a snickers that got stuck. 5 stars
Awesome. First time on track in 2 years. Had a great workout!
Clean place, good educational system and a safe place for lgbt. They even host a pride prom
Beautiful Campus with an Olympic size indoor swimming pool! I was so enthralled with the professionalism and care the staff detailed every aspect of the orientation and introduction of "College Life" for incoming freshwomen and freshmen to attend. I thoroughly appreciate and enjoyed this experience with my daughter who enthusiastically joined the spreading of her wings and "take off" to fly for the first time. I'm a proud Mom! I'm inspired by her to finish college and perhaps move to Utica, NY because of the diversity and serenity! #MyBbgirlisLivingTheCollegeLife
Writing this from late 2016 Utica Campus:
The dorms are amazing, especially in Bellamy, although you really gotta ask some of your neighbors to quiet down, since sometimes the good times are pretty loud.
The classes are great. As an animation major the professors are all unique and engaging in their own way, but make sure that the brunt of the work is on your shoulders so you don't breeze by without actually challenging yourself.
Dining hall food could use some work, but all in all is a good place to get a meal before class and a great place for meeting with your friends and enjoying some eats.
