One of the neatly maintained airport with out any traffic conjecture on the outskirts of the city...not well connected by public transportation....check in and out time is very fast...

As an international airport, there is no sufficient convenience to visitors. Have to pay for urinel also. Rate is high for food & snacks.

This international airport looks good. Nice architecture, clean. Baggage receiving is confusing. And immigration board is confusing. Could not see the word arrival.

Trivandrum International Airport is one of the best airports in India. Unlike other airports, the employees here are very friendly. Emigration Section Employees are very socially engaged. One drawback of this airport is the duty free shop that has been closed here for years

Easily accessible place. Air India Domestic flights take off from international terminal.

Small nice international airport. The immigration and arrival formalities at this airport is simple and fast, wish I could say the same about the departure too.

On arrival you just have to fill up a small form with details of your stay and you can pretty much breeze through the immigration counter. With in no time you can pickup the checked in luggage an can be on your way.

I wish the departure was also simplified and more straight forward.
I arrived at the airport after doing my online check in and hoping all I have to do is pickup my boarding pass, drop off the bags and go through security and board the aircraft. The number of stops and people one have to encounter to get to the aircraft makes it a bit annoying.

In my case I have to stop and hand over my boarding pass/Passport to 10 different people before boarding the aircraft.

1) You must have a proof of travel and passport to enter the terminal.
This is understandable. They are trying to make sure only valid passengers enter the terminal. In my case, I showed the passport and online check in conformation to the person at the gate to allow entry.

2)To stand at the line to drop off bags and collect boarding pass.
you have to show proof of travel and passport to the personal standing at the beginning of the line to be allowed to stand in that line. I was asked for the seat number. She scratched name off a printed list she had.
Cannot understand the purpose of this.

3) Produce the online check-in conformation to another agent while standing in line. She scanned it using a hand held device.
Couldn t understand what value it adds as I have not yet collected my boarding pass and there is a possibility that the seat might be changed while issuing the boarding pass.

4)Produce travel documents to the agent at the counter and dropped off the bags
This is a required step.

5)Take the escalator and you have to provide the boarding pass and passport at the immigration counter. They photograph you and not sure whether they put another stamp on the passport or not. Cant really understand why this is done, but understandable as each country has it s own way of managing who comes and leaves the country.

6) Right after you clear the above counter, the boarding pass and travel documents are verified by another person.
Don t understand why.

7) Now to the security check. the boarding pass and passport are verified again, carry in bags scanned and security clearance stamp added to boarding pass.
This step is required to make sure the passenger is not carrying any non approved items into the aircraft.

8) The boarding pass and passport verified again by another individual.
Not sure why.

9)The boarding pass and passport verified again at the gate.
This is also understandable as they have to make sure it is the right person entering the aircraft.

10) the boarding pass and passport verified again inside the vestibule while standing in line to board the aircraft.
But why?

11) the cabin staff checks the boarding pass again at the aircraft door to confirm you are in the right aircraft.

In my opinion this can be reduced to 5 steps (1, 4, 7, 9) and the travel experience can be improved

The international airport is quite good. Spacious, clean.

Unnecessary security checks in India, smh. Airport is better than Cochin.

I feel full comfortable, and what I expect, everything is available.

Airport is Good . There are 4 Gates are there. Smoking area, Bar is also There, Baby care room.subway restaurant is also there.

The Airport environment is clean and calm. Also the airport is spacious and not crowded. There is a lot of parking space. The airport staff are friendly and helpful. Being close to my home, I frequently use this airport. The facilities are very modern, like any modern airport. Truly a very good travel facility.

The strongest Airport of Kerala No doubt

Trivendrum airport is divided in 2 parts domestic and International. I checked in to domestic airport. Security is very tight. They follow all the covid guidelines. They have temperature check in entrace. It's very neat and clean airport.

It was good but I believe domestic airport should be loaded with some more shops.

Great airport. Small, functional, well located. Needs regular 20 minute interval bus service to Railway stations either in Kazhakuttom or Thiruvananthapuram

After the renovation of the airport, it is looking better and services are improved. Adding more immigration counter in departure gate, it really ease the crowd. We need similar setup at the arrival gate as well. More restaurants with affordable rate will be nice rather than keeping kiosks.

A wonderful airport marred by Communist Party sponsored trouble making Unions. Their aim is not to work.

*Not enough refreshment shops at Airport..
*Duty paid shops are just for name sake...nothing much is there...

*Nobody is there to lookafter the messy parking of customers at the entrance... Though only stop and proceed is allowed we can see so many people parking vehiclea even for hours and chitchatting at the entrabce....Security staff nit taking care of it....

*The worst part of the airport is the entrance and exit to main roads...its badly constructed , "accident prone areas...."

* Taxi drivers here are notorious for cheating...

Comparing other airports in Kerala.Thiruvananthapuram airport is worst service now

They've improved service and build/redesign airport and still on progress. But please don't buy SIM card from airport, they may give u there number to call if not activated but they will not answer to that no. I was there for 4 days and I visit Vadafone medical collage branch also. But until I return (may still) it's not activated just was of money. Here is proof that I shared.

Trivandrum Airport is well maintained and clean. The arrival building makes better impression than departure building. The airport is not much crowded.
It is possible to hire the cab inside the terminal building. Uber cab option is alao available.
Baggage screening is however manual.
Wash room quality needs improvement.
