The former museum of Asian, African and Oceanic arts of the Golden Gate, a masterpiece of art deco built for the colonial exhibition of 1931 has become the museum of immigration. I already knew this place, vestige of the Universal Exhibition of 1931. This time, I was going there to see the Louboutin exhibition. It is magnificent. However, the gauge is very badly adjusted and, this afternoon, impossible to have 1 m between each visitor. I was terribly embarrassed. Regarding the permanent exhibition, I did not really like it. Many texts, documents are at our feet, which is not very practical to read and observe. I squatted many times to see well. As for the collection with donations, I think it's a good idea. Very interesting but the course is not very practical: we do zigzag, we go back because of the elements in the center that are a blow to the place, a blow upside down. I preferred the temporary exhibition, but again, a problem of course: forced to retrace his steps to go out.

This Museum is just a small wonder. Architecture. Location. Exhibitions. Catering, everything contributes to staying there for a whole day. It is an obligatory passage for children from 9 years old for a better understanding of our society.

We went to see the temporary expo on the shared holy places. Very nice exhibition with neat and efficient scenography. A museum on a human scale that always surprises us.

At the museum, it is not accessible for the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as visually impaired ... Especially for people with reduced mobility, they can not read the chronologies on the stairs!?! Some exhibitions are less interesting and poorly organized! Lack of accessibility of subtitles in French ... Very difficult to read typography and texts ... it makes me laugh on the logos "Lifts"! By cons access to the bar, it's also great in the locker room! Despite the welcome, no accessibility to express in sign language ... lack of a table of tariffs on the wall ...

It is very hot inside and there are a lot of stairs for strollers and people with a medium or large handicap it is too bad. But for the ocean party, the aquarium was a wonderful exhibit. Lots of underwater species I liked this universe. Thank you very much for this open house day.
