The exhibition on how immigration changed music was really interesting

Very interesting museum which highlights the link between immigration and the economic reality of the country. I highly recommend! (Free entry for those under 26, even for me who is Canadian)

What a wonderful surprise this museum was. Although my children do not speak French, there were English translations throughout the museum to make it more than worthwhile. There are special shows every 30 minutes that are only in French unfortunately, but there are some that are more animated and action packed, making the language barrier less important. Go early because the planetarium sells out. An excellent rainy day activity for kids!

Former museum of the colonies and Africa, this museum has been very well renovated, a giant aquarium has been installed in the basement, there are even white crocodiles, very interesting, all ages, children love

Disappointing museum, scenography that could be improved upon, although it has been recently modernized

Disappointing museum. The temporary exhibit was interesting but the permanent displays lack structure and depth. It's just random stuff with lots of posters and news clippings. And why is there nothing about food as that is a huge impact that immigrants have had - there is a Chinese, kebab, or pizza etc. place every 100 meters here in Paris and it's a super important element of culture.

A fascinating museum whose visit should be compulsory for all middle and high school students

I loved it but there is so much to see ... You will need a guide ... only complaint: nothing about modern history, it is "curious" to say the least.

The construction is superb, but the museum is a little disappointing since most of the works on display were transferred to the Quai Branly. In contrast, the aquarium has all its appeal by the variety of fish species presented

I find the good idea of a History Museum on immigration, less on the rendering.
It is effective to know the key dates in the history of waves of immigration (Italian, Polish, African ...) by climbing the stairs. After, on the history in itself, it misses for certain populations, the cause, ie colonization, it is explained but in 1/2 lines on a presentation of a phenomenon, it is limit . It would have taken a large part, people did not necessarily come for pleasure to France, or even other reasons ... After it is interesting to know the living conditions, of certain immigrants of their coming to France from the first wars to the present day. Good film references, in a small part, on the subject in a corner of the museum.

I did not really appreciate the museum, I find that the space is not very well exploited. I may not be used to museums, but there is only reading, it's boring !!
However, the aquarium is very good, with children I imagine it is very informative and entertaining! Tropical fish are really beautiful with their shapes and colors and impressive patterns!

I only did the permanent party (the Immigration Museum). Very interesting, pleasant and necessary even if it lacks documentation on the 21st century. Very complete on the history of the Maghreb and European populations. However, less information on sub-Saharan origins and almost nothing on Asian ones !! Big disappointment on this point. The museum must be remodeled for October 2021, I hope that the 21st century and the mentioned immigrations will be more developed.

The online ordering site is badly done. Be careful, the price list is tricky ... each asterix must be given because the conditions change from one product to another without this seeming obvious. It's interesting to see chronological texts in the history of immigration. However, there is not much info yet. I hope the museum will be better equipped in the future.

Well-kept temporary exhibitions, while the permanent ones should be renewed. Particular architecture, a little cold and alienating, similar to the fascist one of the thirties, with different "exotic" influences, in a mixture of traditions and heterophile ideas not always successful. A huge room in the center, the fulcrum of the entire building, visible from the balconies of the various floors, which loses in wonder at the large void it presents and the fresco - or mural painting - of doubtful taste. Welcoming, kind and helpful staff.

Museum very well done, interested in migration "mass" but also to individual cases. Very didactic explanations without being demagogic.

Nice physical advantage at the museum level, but quite disappointed by the content of the exhibitions nothing about colonization and history is based on emigration.

Pretty little interest, even when it's free on the first Sunday of the month. The main hall is beautiful, the exhibition on French colonial history is not bad but there is not much to see, no lounge is open. We end up wondering what good can serve this museum ...
