I don't know very much about art but my visit here made me want to learn more. Some of the paintings I just browsed rapidly but I found myself starring deeply into others, difficult to pull myself away from them. Happy to have had that experience.

The Rouen museum has free admission for the parmanent collections. Inside it is possible to admire many masterpieces including a beautiful Caravaggio. Surely the most interesting part is the one dedicated to the Impressionists including the famous painting on the cathedral of Rouen. Many know the masterpieces of monet, pissaro, renoir and cc .... The visit is very interesting and highly recommended.

Beautiful museum, very rich collections and superb exhibition around the impressionists but ... as we were cold! Why is air conditioning so adjusted? The freezing temperatures inside us almost ruined our visit. What a pity !

Very nice museum. Very rich permanent collection. Relevant temporary collections. It is an interesting and essential cultural place in life. Free for students, as for most French museums. The square opposite this one is very quiet, a little piece of countryside in the city center.

Beautiful museum, already by its architecture and the park which surrounds it, to which access is free for the permanent collection.

This collection lists paintings from the Renaissance to the present day and in all styles, from portrait to abstract, including still life.
Old sculptures and furniture are also on display, as well as impressive models.
Part of the collection is devoted to the city of Rouen both in its representation and by its local artists.

Allow 2 hours to tour this collection, more if you go through the temporary exhibitions.

A very large collection of Flemish works, and in September 2019 works from the contemporary Pinaut collection ... this museum is a must in Normandy ... I really enjoyed myself. Can't wait to go back.

We did not have time to see the works on display. Iva in a tourist group of 45 people and ate in the central patio of the building, extraordinary place for banquets. The food could not be worse. As for the Museum and for what little I could see I think it would have been better to see it in detail, although it would have cost us not to eat (I say because the time we had was limited). If I go back to this city without a doubt I will dedicate time to visit the Museum and enjoy their works of art.

Museum still as beautiful, as much by the architecture as by the paintings which are exposed there.

The permanent exhibition is free, just take a ticket to the terminal.
The other exhibitions are really beautiful, even more when you know the painter. The price is suitable and changing according to who is exposed.

I highly recommend this museum.

What a place to come and see art and for free well at least the permanent collection is free temporary collection will cost you. If you're fan of Monet? This is the right place for you to visit and once you're done you can hang out at the park right out front.

In a superb building, the municipality has made free access to its museums which is very significant. A permanent collection of paintings from the 16th to the 20th century including temporary exhibitions, thus giving an eclecticism that surprises from room to room. Huge works also very impressive.

Interesting temporary exhibitions. Beautiful building. The permanent exhibition is pretty commonplace. Attention worthy of a picture dedicated to the life of Joan of Arc and one of the Rouen cathedrals of Claude Monet.
