I chose Auburn for my hip replacement based on their survey indicating zero infections for hip replacements. The surgeon(s) did a good job - minimal pain and I had a pleasant room (private room, not sure why - probably because of the risk of infection). Food was acceptable, people were nice and I was up and about within a couple of days. The Tully's in the lobby needed to run a delivery service to the rooms!

If I could give a zero I would. My father is 55 years old and fell off a ladder, landing on top of it from 9' up. He came in to the emergency room in excruciating pain in his ribs. After hours of sitting waiting for help, they took X rays and advised that he had 1 fractured rib, not broken, gave him a prescription for a few painkillers and kicked him out without assistance or advice on care other than "take it easy for awhile". After almost 2 weeks of pain and weird popping noises when he inhaled, he went and got a second opinion at a different hospital. Turns out he has FOUR broken ribs, 2 of them multiple breaks and free floating bone in his abdomen!! He has been in so much pain and will be spending quite a bit longer out of work than when he was originally assessed. I understand ER's are busy and mistakes are made, but this just seems negligent. My father should have been treated with more care, how do you miss 4 broken ribs? We will actively tell people not to come here and will never be seen here again.

Went in there tonight at 7:30 for a high temperature and severe back pain being pregnant thats not good after 10pm I asked why it was taking so long and if they were gonna call my name by 10:30. I had told them I watched multiple people who came in after me go before me and at 10:50 I asked how many people were in front of me and she said 3. And I waited and watched more then three people go that came in after me. At 12 I finally snapped when I asked someone if I was next because I was extremely thirsty being told I shouldn't drink since 7:30. She then said I was next and watched 5 other peoples names be called that weren't mine. Left. Never coming back here again.

Auburn general used to have a way more professional ER room. I waited for two hours and still was not triaged. There was a child in the waiting area that was in obvious distress and had been suffering even longer than i was. The reason Auburn General only has one ER doctor for the entire city of Auburn is because they dont want to treat people without insurance. If somebody has insurance, they move to the front of the line even if other people have been waiting longer. If somebody in the waiting area would have had a medical emergency because of the long wait, i would have given them my number and testified in the lawsuit.

We sat in the ER lobby for 3 hours with an infant who just had a seizure. We watched a half dozen people see a doctor before us including at least two people obviously having opiate withdrawals. We left and went to another hospital where we got prompt service.

Here now. It's now almost been 3 hours and I just got a room 10 mins ago. Prior to that they had me wait on a bed in the loud busy hallway. Mind you I'm coming in with a 9/10 migraine.

I asked the doctor why I didn't have a room and he said because all the rooms are taken and he wanted to get the all rolling. THE BALL IS NOT ROLLING. I repeat. I have not received any medicine. I know this works and they usually keep you in here another hour after giving you medicine. IM DONE. I'm getting agitated.. never have I ever waited so long in a emergency room. I felt dumped when they put me in the hallway and left me there, and now I'm in this cold room waiting once again. If I don't get drugs in the next ten minut... oh look who just walked in smh

Worst ICU I have ever been in. The punjaby doctors are quick to call it quits and pull the plug. Even if there is life left in the patient. No compassion, respect or care for patient and family members. Both doctors and nurses seriously need Sensitivity training. Dirty and smelly rooms that only gets cleaned when patient is killed or moved. I have been here for two weeks and the room has only been swept and.mopped ONCE. Please don't bring your loved ones here. I was brought here because it was the closest to where I got into an accident. Please save your selves and loved ones.

I was waiting to see a doctor and so I tried making small talk with people. The only other couple in there was a guy with long hair and his mom. He freaked out and thought I was staring at him so I wandered down the hall and fell asleep in one of the benches. The security kicked my bench waking me up and threw me out into a Christmas cold at 3am in the morning without being seen.

Recently had a hysterectomy here. And the nursing staff, from the OR to post op, were incredible! The CNA's were very sweet and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Very kind and gentle.... made sure I was not in pain and made sure I was comfortable. The room I was in had a young woman and her boyfriend was in there with her. Constantly using the bathroom that clearly says for patient use only. TV was on loud. Talking on the phone. And this was close to 11:30 at night. Had my husband go and talk to the nurse and she moved me to another room within 5 minutes. Brought in a recliner for my husband along with sheets, blanket and pillow. If I ever have to be hospitalized, God forbid, I will always come to this one!!!

My wife was treated abominably at this hospital. The Aide insisted he knew more than she knew ABOUT HERSELF! He loomed over her and insisted on pumping her full of saline solution, even though she couldn't breathe and was already too full of water. She has a transplanted kidney and needs to be treated properly. Her doctor did not even visit her the first full day she was there. We will never go back there. She knew what meds she needed to take and was denied the proper use of those meds. Never again?

This hospital is horrible. They are extremely disorganized and do a horrible job of communicating. The women at the outpatient surgery check in was very short and rude as was the old woman at the desk you check in at for outpatient surgery. My mom had breast cancer surgery today and she couldn t even get a proper hello. I wish I would have written down the women s names so that their bosses can provide them with customer service training. You guys need to do better... it took 45 min for someone to bring my mom down after the surgery. Just sloppy. I will never return here.

My Brother was brought in by Ambulance because his Girlfriend found him in total confusion. They weren t sure what was wrong, but they immediately began testing for everything. I flew in from Kansas that night. After all the testing they found that he had Bacterial Meningitis. He was in ICU for several days with ALL the antibiotics that should have got it until it became apparent that nothing was working. The Drs (6 different ones) all were at a loss on what to do. They did an MRI every day to see if it was getting anywhere under control. The last one that was done they consulted Drs from different hospitals. Tacoma, Seattle and one in Chicago. All neurologist. Bottom line, nobody had seen this type (very rare)
It had went to his brain at an extremely fast rate. Unfortunately he will never come home. Two of the Drs actually cried when they had to tell me. I truly felt that he got wonderful treatment. If I missed the Dr, they would always call me even after I returned home. I will be going back in a few days, all I can say is I feel he got excellent care. They aren t God and they have done all they could.
The staff at this hospital were always there for whatever he needed, it was always cleaned daily. I was very impressed by the Hospital and staff. Everyone have a Nice day!!

I took my fiance to the ER on August 5th. She has a recurring medical issue of cellulitus in her breast post cancer. We went in and stated this immediately. The only thing needed is a prescription for antibiotics and we could be on our way. she wasn,t sick when we got there but after waiting EIGHT HOURS she spiked a wicked fever, complete with chills, was nauseated and exhausted. She was finally brought to a room and the Doctor, who was very pleasant, glanced at the affected area and nodded that it was indeed what we are already very familiar with. spent another two hours in the room to wait for a shot, a pain pill and an antibiotic pill. We were then told they can't fill prescriptions as they are under new construction.

This was the most ill-managed ER I have EVER been in.

I went to the ER this last Friday night at 9:30 p.m.
I have been suffering from an ulcer and other conditions. I was horribly dehydrated from not keeping anything down or in.

There were people in the waiting room that literately waited 5 to 7 hours to be seen! Seriously?

I finally got called back after 1:00 a.m.

The nurse and PA deserve 10 stars all the way.

When I got settled and the nurse and I were chatting I said wow you guy's are so busy, I was told Oh there are plenty of rooms, there's just not enough nurses to care for all the people due to cut backs and how they schedule....WOW!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, this place let's seriously sick people in need of help sit for HOURS in a cold uncomfortable waiting room because they are to cheap to pay the labor cost to give adequate care for all.

I don't expect to get in right away and I understand the more emergent cases take first priority. But when they got me back there, the nurse and PA were shocked being my condition was emergent I was so dehydrated I had no spit or tears. I couldn't keep in tiny sips of water or it came right back out. Then you get slapped with a bill of thousands of dollars?

This place use to give amazing care before the big change. This needs to change!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nurse was great. Quick. Efficient. Kind.

Nurse was great. Quick. Efficient. Kind.

The rest of the experience is below.

POOR EFFICIENCY.
Wait time is incredibly long in the EMERGENCY department. We arrived around 6pm...it is 12pm and we still haven't been seen.

UNPROFESSIONAL.
There are 2 security guards, front desk staff and some medical staff that have been talking for a while...not a good look. Try to appear like you're busy. Also, the covid screener dude had a 1 hour overlap with his replacement...they sat there and chatted it up the whole time.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and MANAGEMENT.
The front desk staff in the Emergency Department checked us in along with everyone else that has been waiting all night. My spouse spoke with the front desk staff working in the Emergency Department and it turns out, the long wait is due to all the beds in the hospital being completely full? Why would you continue to admit people knowing there are no beds available. If a patient's wound or ailment is non-emergent, redirect patients to the nearest hospital and call around to see which hospitals have availability. Problem solve - it's an important part of customer service. Also, we couldn't get an ESTIMATE of the wait time even after having been here for 5+ hours. Front desk staff in EMERGENCY Department stated it was due to several variables including random people being dropped off in Emergency Department for care as well as severity of their ailments. At the time this was asked, estimate for the cases already checked in, but not seen AND obviously you cannot account for the random cases that arrive by ambulance when they haven't arrived yet, but again an estimate would be helpful. JUST TRY.

January 18, 2018 about 8pm or later, was my first time here and I had an AMAZING experience here at the ER. Staffs in the front were very caring good listeners and very understanding of my son situation. I felt welcome there and my son was called in quick as well as other patients that were there before me and after. Social Worker too was very understanding and did her job seeking the necessarity and the immediate medical attention tbat my son needed. Going 8 years of mental illness with my son this would be the Hospital to take your loves to on my status quote. I share this wonderful awesome experience and quick service with all my family and friends who have grown to know what we go through as a family with my son. I want to say THANK YOU ALL for ALL of what you have done/and are doing last nite for my son it means alot deep down in my soul. THANK YOU!

this hospital is incredible, my son is in ICU and has been since a week ago Friday, when i learned he was at Auburn General I did some research because i am from out of town. The reviews had me really concerned because most were awful BUT I must say the nurses in the ICU are some of the most caring that I have been in contact with (I worked in a hospital for 20 years)
I want to really recognize Richard & Carly as they are the 2 nurses i had the most contact with, I did not get a chance prior to leaving Auburn to nominate them for the Daisy Award and am hoping the hospital reads this review.
Thank you for all you are still doing to get my son back to the long road of recovery!!!!!

Went to the ER last year for extreme pain due to kidney stones. I'm talking throwing up because it hurts so bad type of pain. The nurse who was supposed to go get me pain medicine never came back! The stone(s) ended up passing, and shortly after a different nurse came and took me to different 'room'. She was shocked when she checked her computer and saw that indeed, no pain medicine had ever been given to me. She apologized and said that she would give me a little in my IV since I was about to check out, just in case the pain came back.

Auburns newly remodeled hospital and ER room seems...

Auburns newly remodeled hospital and ER room seems to have been built so that Multicare can bolster the credibility of the shoemakers they call doctors. Ive had a terrible experience more than once including being misdiagnosed, prescribed improper amounts of medicine which actually advanced, instead of putting into remission, my illness. After returning once to allow them an opportunity to right a wrong and a second time returning to a different deptartment in order to voice my complaint discreetly and get proper attention...well...lets just say they had their goon squad security escort me off the property adding injury to injury and insult. I would not go there ever again even if i was having a heart attack. They run a hit and run operation which appears accurate only when it concerns collecting their money. This is not my idea of health care...this is Auburn Multicare stating boldly, WE DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH CARE. WE RUN A HEALTH NOT CARE OPERATION WHERE YOU MUST BE A PATIENT-VERY PATIENT PATIENT IF YOU COME TO THE ER AT NIGHT. And, in closing, ive been waiting nearly a week for my complaint to be responded to. I could never survive in business acting this way in any business.

In April of 2018 I had to bring my 12 year old daughter to this ER for a severe emergency. The entire staff was compassionate and efficient. I was nearly in shock too, and they were kind and helped by explaining things to me on a level I could understand. They ran tests and got her stabilized. Based on the situation, she ended up needing to go to Children's Hospital in Tacoma. The ambulance crew took very good care of her and again, were delicate based on the situation. EDIT TO ADD: I ended up going to the ER a couple weeks ago (Feb 2019) I had to have my appendix removed asap. I was there in the hospital for 2 days. All went very well and I still recommend this ER/ hospital.

Doctors here don't care about assisting patients understand their diagnosis. My consistent and numerous complaints about my body not feeling right after being diagnosed as a prediabetic fell on deaf ears. I was not give any instruction about getting referrals to dietitians to better understand how to manage my blood sugar levels and I was not given any options to take medication where lifestyle changes have clearly failed to change my 24 hour every day thirst that just wouldn't go away no matter how much water I drank and how much my diet improved to rule out the common culprits of high blood sugar. All I was ever told was: you don't have diabetes. Just eat and exercise and you won't have a problem. Just a toss over the shoulder with no real assistance at all to understand this disease better. after reading books to better understand this disease I have come to realize there could have been more recommendations the nurses and physicians at this center could've offered. I always felt that my complaints always fell on deaf ears. I'm glad I've moved out of the area and will be changing physicians.

Took my Pregnant Fiance there at midnite, she was having very severe abdominal pains. The receptionist was less than pleasant, got snappy because it took us a whole 10 seconds before we mentioned she was pregnant. When we get upstairs to be seen, the nurses told us that the employees downstairs said she was hit in the stomach. Then there was the normal blah blah pointless but necessary questions, I leave the room to get some water for my fiance and the nurses start questioning her "Do you feel safe at home?" "Are you abused?" I wonder if spreading rumors and making absurd assumptions is just standard hospital procedure.

My mother had life-saving emergency surgery and was a patient in the ICU for an extended period. She was cared for by a team of caring and outstanding nurses, including Elona, Tanya, Marie, Sam, and Jacqueline. This team and the others who supported them embodied the mission that I saw throughout the facility: Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, and Kindness. I truly believe their genuine caring made a real difference in my mother's comfort and recovery. Some of the few words she was able to speak described them all as nice and pretty. Thank you for the job you did and continue doing, it makes a real difference, not only for the patient but their families too.

Update: Had to add a couple more RNs and CNA: Thanks to Blake (RN) who was AWESOME with my mother! Cortney (RN) was so kind and caring . Marita (CNA) was also so supportive and attentive.

Luckily, I'm never the patient but often the visitor. I've spent night after night here and this team was consistently awesome.
