Nurse was great. Quick. Efficient. Kind.

Nurse was great. Quick. Efficient. Kind.

The rest of the experience is below.

POOR EFFICIENCY.
Wait time is incredibly long in the EMERGENCY department. We arrived around 6pm...it is 12pm and we still haven't been seen.

UNPROFESSIONAL.
There are 2 security guards, front desk staff and some medical staff that have been talking for a while...not a good look. Try to appear like you're busy. Also, the covid screener dude had a 1 hour overlap with his replacement...they sat there and chatted it up the whole time.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and MANAGEMENT.
The front desk staff in the Emergency Department checked us in along with everyone else that has been waiting all night. My spouse spoke with the front desk staff working in the Emergency Department and it turns out, the long wait is due to all the beds in the hospital being completely full? Why would you continue to admit people knowing there are no beds available. If a patient's wound or ailment is non-emergent, redirect patients to the nearest hospital and call around to see which hospitals have availability. Problem solve - it's an important part of customer service. Also, we couldn't get an ESTIMATE of the wait time even after having been here for 5+ hours. Front desk staff in EMERGENCY Department stated it was due to several variables including random people being dropped off in Emergency Department for care as well as severity of their ailments. At the time this was asked, estimate for the cases already checked in, but not seen AND obviously you cannot account for the random cases that arrive by ambulance when they haven't arrived yet, but again an estimate would be helpful. JUST TRY.
