Compost Terrible / Staff super nice! The staff is really nice and helpful, but don't buy compost from there. It has tons of glass shards, clay pot shards and plastic bags and garbage pieces. I didn't know the quality would be so poor. I didn't call them cause it's not like you can return a pile of dirt. I just want to warn others about that product specifically. I cant speak to any other products they sell and I gave three stars because even though I totally wasted my money, the service was really good. I'll be going elsewhere in the future due to questionable quality.

We have this company for lawn service at the apartments where I live. They have done a poor job on more then one occasion, covering the cars with grass and leaving them not blown off. But today I couldn't believe what happened! I went out and moved my car because I know they are really bad for spraying the cars with grass. While I was out there I could see that they were skipping a 15 ft by about 20 ft spot in the yard. I went up to the guy and asked way he was not cutting it, he said there's to much dog poop in the lawn and that he was not going to cut it. I tried to tell the guy that I have been working in landscaping for over 20 years and that you can just cut around the one spot or that we even just run it over, it will fall off before you get the rest of the lawn clean. But either way, I went over there to pick up the "ton of dog poop that was too much for him to cut" and it was two small peaces so I picked it up and told the guy that I cleaned it. At this time he'starts yelling "call the # on the truck" so I did and talked with the owner. I told him what was going on and he said to pick it up and they would cut it. I then told him that I have been doing landscaping for over 20 years that its not a big deal to cut over poop, that they could have just went around the spots as I tried to explain to their guy. He proceeded to tell me to go "F" my self and that they are not going to cut it!! Then he shows up where I live, parking across the street, so I went to go talk to him. He started yelling at me and told my to get "F'd" while walking over to me yelling and threatening to fight me! I couldn't believe how unprofessional this guy was for an owner!!
My husband and I went into Mulligan's Landscape & Garden Center, Inc. on Elizabeth Lake Rd here in White Lake, MI, this past weekend and purchased over $400 worth of trees/bushes to help landscape our new home. We BOUGHT AND PAID for two different types of evergreen trees that were to be delivered this Friday. They were both sold to us at a sale price. Yesterday, we received a call from the clerk that sold them to us (who was wonderful by the way and very helpful) telling us that her boss, Kara, couldn't let the one tree go for the price we already paid for it and wanted $60 more. My husband spoke to Kara stating, "but you already DID sell it to us". Well, I guess since they still had the tree in their possession Kara figured she held the cards and refused to give us the tree for the price we already paid for it. Being completely shocked and frustrated my husband told her to keep both trees and refund us the total for both and the delivery fee...about $350. We were told we were "making a big deal out of an honest mistake". A mistake they made...not us. So instead of absorbing the $60 difference, they lost a $350 sale and a customer. What a poor way to treat your customers and to do business! I wonder, if we had taken the tree the day we bought it, would they have come and dug it up out of our yard. Unbelievable! Then when I called to assure they were sending the refund back to my credit card the man who spoke to me was very rude, and acted like this whole mess was our fault.
RE: Kara's response....we weren't offered any type of solution other than to pay $60 more for a tree we already bought...so I don't really understand your "it takes two" comment. By that you mean us just caving and paying you what you wanted? I think anyone with business sense knows you made a bad decision. You could have made up the $60 alone just in the delivery charge we were going to pay, considering you were only going to have to deliver the trees about a mile and half away. You left us no choice but to cancel our whole deal. But, no worries, your competitor, Bordines, is delivering our trees this week and at a better price than what we paid for your trees, before the $60 increase you wanted.
First time customer, and I will be back. I called for six yards of mulch, same-day delivery. Not only were you guys able to fill my order, it was delivered earlier than expected! To top it off, the quality of the mulch was excellent! We'll be back!
Anything you need they have. From landscaping, to hardscape, lawn service, trees, shrubs, sprinklers they will take care of you. The Mulligan's are wonderful people with an exemplary reputation.
Super friendly and very knowledgeable staff. We didn't purchase anything this visit. We need to narrow down the selection, I'll be sure to update once we purchase!
Mulligans landscape is one of my local go to's, they have a good verity of plants all of witch are usually in good health and condition. They are also good about trying to help you find plants and tree's your looking for.
I have been receiving products and services from Mulligan's Landscape & Garden Center Inc. for many years and I must say that I have been extremely pleased with the exceptional service I have always received. The beautiful flowers and plants I have purchased have stood the test of time. My berry bushes are thriving, and the delivery service has always been phenomenal. I have high standards when it comes to my yard and my landscaping and with Mulligan's and their employees, I know my yard will be amazing. Thank you Rob, Kara, and the entire Mulligan's family and employees for your excellent care and service through the years.
