We are here when in town for the national championship game. I ordered an oyster po boy and it was disgusting. The oysters were grossly overcooked. They shouldn't have ever let that sandwich leave the kitchen. My friend ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo and she ate 2 bite. She said it was terrible. Very unfortunate.

This place is amazing....... I wasn't sure what to order since this was my first time to New Orleans in a long time. I finally settled on the shrimp po boy. Y'all it was amazing..... the ranch dressing was homemade and very flavorful. The bread the po boy came on was fresh and so soft....... melt in your mouth. I will make sure I come visit this spot every time I come back. I almost forgot to mention the staff....... they were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. It literally took us 20 minutes to decide what to eat, but our server helped guide us through the entire menu.

I order 2 things each time the server came back an said we did have it. Spoke with the mrg about my 3rd order an he just cut me off an walked away , so rude of him. How your food high in price for the restaurant to be running out of everything, where the money go because its definitely not ordering inventory.

Server was very pleasant, wait was not bad, but food was not the greatest. The kid's chicken tender was very dry almost not edible. The onion rings were bland and stale. The Mulates Seafood Plate had shrimp, crawfish tail, and calamari that were chewy. This place is not worth going for the expensive price and not good food. Only reason we went is because it is a block from Marriott.

Our server was very nice, but also very busy since we came for lunch during a conference held across the street at the convention center. My seafood pasta, recommended by our server, was ok, nothing special. Quick service & great location, which are both key when you don't have a ton of time between lectures.

Nice location in a historic part of New Orleans ( it's all historic) wanted gumbo and seafood. Had more of both then I could eat. I zidico gumbo with chichen, sausage and shrimp should have been the meal by its self. Complex flavors and textures with a large scoop of tender rice. Wish it was hotter, however it still tasted great. I shared the cajun seafood sampler. WOW, what a wonderful plate, each type of fried food seemed to be cooked separately. Many different flavors, style and texture. From corn bread, to egg dredge to simple flour. Enough food for 4 as a appetizer or a meal for two if you add a side. The predominant taste was the seafood, you could not taste the oil at all. Everything had a clean fresh taste.
The server was pleasent making good recommendation
The live music was a little loud but interesting. I could see myself going back with a group.
Fun Place.

Amazing food. A little loud. Every time I walk in there, it always seems that there is somebody that I know there as well. Good people working there. Really good southern fried catfish and jambalaya.

This place looked good online but it wasn't worth the price. The worst part was that I found a tape worm in my fish. The server was super nice about it but the manager was rude and denied that it was a worm. Here is the picture you decide.

Had a few hours until hotel check-in and we were starved. An older woman took our order and it seriously felt like I had a new southern grandmother. We wondered how big the portions were until she brought us 3 huge tumblers of water (I've never seen tumblers that wide) and we figured it out lol My adult brothers were able to share the fried sampler and were full. I had etoufee and redbeans/rice. Just delicious.

I have MANY bad things to say about this place.

My parents and I were in the state, visiting for my moms convention. We were told to eat at this restaurant because the food was good.

First thing that was wrong was the wait time was ridiculously long. We waited for about an hour, which I know it wasn t the restaurants fault due to the amount of people wanting to dine in. However, to make matters worse the hostess and security officer who was calling off names on a loud speaker and microphone were super rude. Once we sat down, we placed our order, I had to speak to a manager to let him know how rude his staff was. My mom and I ordered water and the water was disgusting, so we got bottled water instead. I ordered some seafood gumbo and it wasn t that good or filling. And our waitress kept forgetting to bring us things, and forgot to take things off our bill that we no longer wanted. Everything was just a mess, and this was my first restaurant in New Orleans. Not the best first impression of the city, which is disappointing. Will not be returning.

Love the atmosphere and most of the food was good. I ordered the steak, medium rare and there was no pink. Not a steak restaurant, I know. Server never asked how it was or spoke to me, so just left it. Appetizers were good and the rest of the group seemed to enjoy theirs.

We made a quick decision to stop here because it was open and within walking distance. Service was adequate, food was nothing special (fried and bland) and it was all overpriced. We had 5 apps and 5 sodas and the bill was $100.

As we were in NOLA, we felt it only right to experience Cajun food. We were a little disappointed. The three of us had the gumbo, etouffee, and jambalaya and they were all just okay. I've had better in Dallas, where I am from. The service was surprisingly fast, yet they were extremely crowded, every table was filled. Also, the prices were pretty high, around 16-26$.

The last night of a week long work trip we came here for the bread pudding. Ended up feasting once again once looking over the menu. Cajun ribs were amazing!!! Add some hot sauce and it'll really kick it up a notch (a little nod to Emeril, who has a picture hanging in the place). The coleslaw was a refreshing take with what I can best describe as cajun seasoning and thousand island dressing. The staff were super friendly and the band really added to the vibe. I loved the whole experience!
