Seemed like the only presentable restaurant down the Curry Mile for authentic Indian food. Hence we took our chances and went in, the ambience was good but the food unfortunately did not live up to the mark. The paneer was stale and the 'Karahi Paneer' was lacking flavour. Pav Bhaji was the only saving grace.

Lamb chops were awesome, main was nice too! On the downside, my wife felt a bit sick after having the onion bhajis, and we were made to feel like they wanted us out of there quick, as we were half way through our starters when they piled the table up with our mains, so i just deicded to put all the spare disheson the table next to us.

We were in Manchester on Friday and decided to visit Rusholme on a whim having not been for years. My wife found an article that mentioned Mughli and so we decided to give it a go.

It turned out to be a good choice and we had a great meal. The place was bustling (in stark contrast to the rest of the Curry Mile) yet the meal felt relaxed, especially with how the food arrived in a tapas style. We made our way through some lovely starters and were impressed by the Saagwala and Biryani for main.

Despite munching away for a good while, everything was lovely and light so we weren't left feeling over full.

All the while we were looked after by a fantastic team who were exceptionally attentive without being intrusive.

AMAZING service! Lovely and caring staff! Very delicious food! Great atmosphere with Indian music and decorations. We were fasting and they gave us free dates and special fries with a sauce! They also give a 10% student discount! Really great! Will definitely go back again!

Deffo one of the best espresso martini in town and the food looks as original as it gets for a non Indian person. The poppadoms on the arrival is not complimentary and you have to pay for it but you can get several small dishes to make a big or otherwise the selection of a whole meal is quite small so a biryani and nothing more. The bill is quite expensive but every now and then is worth getting here.

Had a takeaway through Uber Eats on a Sunday night. The menu was lovely to begin with, brilliant variety and it all sounded great.

Arrived in less than half an hour. The packaging was the first thing that stood out. Individually vacuum sealed portions. This is such an effective method for packaging food, ensuring it stayed well presented and warm on arrival.

The chilli and garlic rice was delicious, spicy and very tasty. The lamb and chicken curries were both superb. Cooked perfectly and seasoned the same. Chilli and garlic bread just as good. The samosas were some of the best I ever had, crunchy pastry which is so rare for a takeaway.

I really couldn't recommend highly enough. It was a really delicious meal and the owners and staff should be very proud.

Limited menu. Burgers online but staff stated due to covid19 these not available. Ordered thali meal deal. Staff stated new menu and deal currently not available. Ordered food. Nice tasty butter chicken. Rice naan, lavender cocktail was nice. Sadly staff forgot my sauces and salad, so had to be reminded. Staff were good, courteous, when dealing. Price was good with Dine In 50% Off.

Excellent food and excellent service! Having visited on numerous occasions, I have always been impressed with the quality of food being produced and the charcoal pit is a must if visiting for the first time. On my first visit, the manager sat with us to explain the menu and recommend a few dishes to start with. The lamb chops on the pit are a must try for any first timers!

Poor service and experience, came all the way from Birmingham due to good reviews etc however when we arrived we were just given the cold shoulder. It is very overpriced for what it is and the service is dire. No attention to the finer details - rather than providing small portions and focusing on the decor.... FOCUS on what matters which is customer service and being attentive.

Having lived in Manchester for 24 years and had never been on the curry mile, a friend treated me. From the outside I wondered what I had let myself in for but inside was not what I was expecting. It was a pleasant surprise.
The food was great, although the biryani was a bit spicier than I expected - but gorgeous. The staff may have been thin on the ground perhaps as I never could get someone to order a second drink from!
I definitely will be back in under 24 years!

On the whole, food was nice. The lamb biryani was good quality and the meat was tender. However, my experience as a student was ruined because I went there after learning about their 10 percent student discount on the condition that I show them my student card. When I finished my meal and showed them my student card, the server said I needed a student card that had an expiry date on it which, as far as I know, the student cards for the uni I go to don't print the expiry date on them. I offered to show the server my emails of my acceptance into the university and my student bus pass which had an expiry date on it, but she refused all other forms of proof and said the expiry date had to be on my student card, which is impossible to present because the student cards don't have an expiry date on them. It seemed a bit stingy that they didn't want to give me the discount even though I was obviously a student, which seems like foul play and deceptive practice. I definitely will not be eating there again.

One of my favourite places in Manchester. Great staff, amazing curries, decent beer and drink. It's not a tired old curry restaurant - this is modern and smart. A really fantastic menu and a great place to be. Highly recommended.

Im ethnically pakistani and originally from london. I had visited manchester for an event and was recommended muglis by some friends, as a lover of indian food i could not refuse.

The taste was basically a less authentic flavoursome take on Indian food, more appealing to a 'larger ethnic market'. So dull flavours were widespread. A big example was the seekh kebabs which tasted like the only seasoning was salt and pepper.

The prices rival that restaurants with unbeatable indian food. 3.2 for a naan bread is a sin.

Service was good, however serving the food tapas style is not something an indian restuarant should be doing.

My friends recommended this place. So we went to mughli to celebrate Diwali. Drinks were average. Paneer chilli was above average but what impressed me was the chicken biryani. Jhaalfrezi would be just right with spiciness but not too spicy to be intolerable. Decor was great and so was service. Bit expensive but good for occasions.

This used to by favourite indian restaurant in manchester however it has gradually gone down hill to the point that I shall not be returning. The food is always good but for the price I can get good indian food elsewhere.

On my last visit I went with my missus, she is disabled and has to use crutches at the moment. The disabled toilet was covered in urine all over toilet and floor and caused her quite the distress using the toilet. The food was average at best and everything just seems to be over spiced. I like spicy food but I still want a mild dish if I request it to be mild.

Finally I found one waiter to highly annoying who would come over on several occasions to ask if we would like something else. When I responded so no thanks were fine he would say "I was not talking to you" and then ask my missus! Very rude!!

Very busy restaurant, can clearly see it is a popular choice on the curry mile with one of few curry houses left ironically. I ordered simply a chicken balti with peter's bread and my friend ordered a mix grill (which is made for 2 people). More

The place is aesthetically pleasing, with calm vocal/instrumental Arabic music and spa-like decor (waterfall half-wall pieces, flowers etc.). Even the bathroom has spa decorations and also smells very nice.

The service was very good, and we were even offered help with the menu, by the manager.

We ordered sweet potatoes, nan bread with lamb, and for our mains, biryani and korma. Everything tasted very good, except the korma sauce, which felt watered down and generally did not taste good, especially before the it was mixed with rice.

Except for the korma dish and the relatively high prices, I would recommend this place based on the rest of the food/experience!

I know the owner of this place very well. Old friends from school days. I have nothing else to say except that I am proud of how well his restaurant is doing. The food was perfect, the ambience was excellent and the decoration was a reflection of how good they are at making food. They also own Evelyn's and a couple of other places. I recommend this place to anyone and then to try their other places. Love it!!!

Great food, authentic menu means there are different choices to a lot of more 'traditional' curry restaurants. Staff are friendly, price is reasonable and it's never been more than 10 mins wait for a table despite Mughli's popularity. Highly recommended

The ambiance and feel of the restaurant was good. The food from the charcoal pit was nice and tastey. However, the curry and cauliflower dishes were too salty for my liking and the chicken was dry (they should use thigh to stop this happening). Also quite expensive which put me off tipping.

My husband and I celebrated our friend s birthday at Mughli last night and we absolutely loved it. The food was traditional, tasty and cooked to perfection. The okra fries were extremely tasty. The butter chicken was lovely and cooked to perfection. Everything that we ordered was very tasty. The samosas were very good and I usually dislike samosas with meat inside of them. But these were very good. Overall, everything was amazing. My only complaint is about the cheese naans not being cheesy enough. You could barely taste cheese to the point where I wouldn t even call it cheese naan.

One of the best Asian restaurants I have been to. Well worth a visit. Their charcoal grill is fantastic and the butter chicken is to die for. They have an eating in facility as well as do take out. They are a little pricy but well worth the money. Great place to visit for a treat. It is quite busy most evenings so make sure that if your going in a large group you book before hand as otherwise you won't get a seat.

Loved the food would go back there again. The authentic Indian food was delicious and staff was very welcoming. The only downside was that the music was too loud and should be kept abit quiet and have that romantic atmosphere. Still the food was great!

Without doubt, the best Indian restaurant in Manchester. For a city with such a large Asian community, and the famous Curry Mile in Rusholme, Manchester has a distinct lack of great Asian eateries. Mughli is head and shoulders above other Indian restaurants in Manchester. The menu is filled with authentic dishes, packed with flavour and spices. The meat from the charcoal pit is to die for and the curries are just as good. I also think their Gunpowder Chips might be the best chips in Manchester. The staff are always very friendly and can't do enough to make your visit an enjoyable experience. The prices are very reasonable as well. Nothing but good things to say about Mughli, one of my favourite restaurants in the city!
