Moyer Fine Jewelers Review

I couldn t have asked for a better customer experience!! I found this jeweler from a post in a watch group and was contacted by Scott Poisel. I told him what I was looking for with a few examples and he helped me pick a winner!! Being out of state he kept me up to date with everything even suggesting the best way to ship to minimize it being stolen in transit. I will definitely be using them & Scott again, even though they are about 4 states away I can t beat the customer service!!

I came in today to see if someone there could switch out the old clasp on my Rolex Submariner for a new one. The gentleman who assisted me was very kind and courteous. I assumed that I would have to drop my watch off, leave it there for servicing. However, he started working on it right away, even though it was over the lunch hour. He must have spent over an hour trying to get everything correct and perfect. The final result was perfect, with the new clasp and watchband fitting perfectly on my wrist. When I inquired about the cost, the gentleman told me "no charge". I was quite surprised at this. I protested, as he had put in a lot of time and effort on my behalf, but he would not hear of it. The store was hosting a benefit for the Hamilton County Humane Society while I was there and I was happy to contribute to that cause, both for a charity that I already support, as well as a "thank you" to Moyer's for their excellent service and care. That was my first time in the store and I certainly will return for any jewelry needs in the future and would recommend it to others.

Time is an illusion. I've never met Derek, Bill or even Craig (from Minnesota) in person before, yet a part of me feels like I have. Strange! My situation was unique; my transaction was formed through a bit of luck, lots of trust, and most importantly our passion for watches. I enthusiastically and without reservation recommend Moyer Fine Jewelers and associate Sarah Reed Brown. I have worked with Sarah on several projects that required repurposing heirloom stones into multiple new designs and Sarah's expertise, vision and follow-through are second to none. She also showed her expertise in stones by assisting me in choosing a superb stone for a new design. Each of Sarah's designs was executed with outstanding care and attention to intricate detail.

My knowledge of watches is limited to say the least. What I did know when I walked in, is that I was done replacing cheap watches every year. I needed something that could keep up with me, and not break under the weight of its own complexity. Something tough, but still sleek and properly sized for my small wrist. Most of the watches I had been looking at online only went one way. Tough, but oversized & tacky. Sleek, but fragile & dainty.

Scott was the guy I was directed towards. First he offered me a drink, then I gave him the parameters I was working with. We looked at all the familiar brands as far as field watches and the like are concerned. Victorinox, Hamilton etc. He showed me some that I liked, some that didn't quite do it for me. We talked for a bit, then he asked me to sit tight. He came back with a piece I had zero familiarity with, a Norqain. Something clicked when I saw this thing sitting on the display, next to the abundance of other soon to be potential perpetrators to the crime on my wallet. It was everything my sub conscience was looking for. Scott figured me out before even I knew what I really wanted.

With this being my first automatic, I was quite unfamiliar with the setting of, and etiquette involved in owning one. Scott walked me through everything in a concise, easy to process manner. When all was said an done, he hooked me up with a sweat deal, we talked, and I was on my way. I will absolutely be going back to Moyer for any of my watch & jewelry related needs. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Let's just say, I haven't unclasped this thing from my wrist as of writing this review.

We visited Moyer for the first time looking for my 30 year anniversary ring. Kim Corbitt greeted us and the relationship began there. I found a beautiful anniversary band and Kim was knowledgeable, professional and so friendly. I have since brought my daughter in to view their engagement rings with Kim. Last year my husband and I got engaged, and chose to shop at Moyer after some disappointing experiences at other local retailers and the recommendation of a friend. We were greeted and continued to work with Fernanda Moore until both of us had found the rings we loved! I had a special challenge that Fernanda handled beautifully and with enthusiasm. I wished for a trillion cut diamond engagement ring. These are quite hard to find, on top of which settings are not readily available. Fernanda assured us immediately that there was nothing that could not be ordered and/or created by the designers there. After many designs I still just could not put my finger on what I wanted well enough for it to come out in a CAD design. But one day Fernanda called us over to look at a new setting design that fit perfectly with the trillion cut diamond she had specially shipped in!

Although this process made me feel quite high maintenance, everyone at Moyer did not! They were accommodating, friendly, fun to work with and no pressure. Every time I walk in the door someone offers to clean my ring. I recommend Moyer 100%!

I would highly recommend Moyer Fine Jewelers. Both Scott and Bill were great to work with. I met Scott via a social media watch group and he invited me to visit the store if I was in the area. Having just got interested in higher end watches, and only owning one such watch, I was somewhat nervous about how I might be treated. I shouldn't have been nervous at all. Bill showed me around and helped educate me about various brands and models. Although I didn't intend to buy a watch that day, they had a model I had been looking for they took as a trade just that day or the day before. Later that day I texted Scott and we agreed on the price. When I stopped by they sized it for me in just a few minutes. These guys are very knowledgeable about watches and down to earth. If you are unsure of what you might like, stop by and try on several watches. They will help educate you so you feel good about your purchase.

We do our jewelry shopping at Moyer for one simple reason- excellent customer service! In addition to the one of a kind jewelry, Melissa and Kim treat you like you're the only people in the building, which is truly important. My wife always has a smile on her face when we leave. I went in with my Fiance about a month ago, we were looking for wedding bands, one for me and a custom one for hers to match an antique ring I found. Now I am not sure what the issue was, but the man that was waiting on us was extremely rude and kept saying things about the ring my fiance has. I bought it because it was an antique, not because of the cost of it. I walked into this store ready to spend enough money for two wedding bands, which i know is not cheap. So even after all that, we dropped off her antique ring with them, so they could make a sketch for a custom wedding band to match the antique ring.

They had the ring for over a week, at which point she really wanted it back because we were going out of town. So we went and picked it up, that was over 3 weeks ago at this point and they said they would call her soon with the sketch so we could get the ring made. So once again, I am not sure what their problem is here, they were beyond rude when we were in the store, and now they don't even care enough to finish the sketch or call us back on it so we can get things rolling for our wedding.

I would not recommend this store to anyone, and honestly, I recommend anyone who likes to feel appreciated to not visit this location at all. Was it because my engagement ring wasn't $10,000 I don't know, doesn't mean i wasn't ready to spend a large sum on the wedding bands, I didn't buy an engagement ring for the price, I bought it for the look. I hope they didn't feel i wasn't worth their time based on the value of the ring i brought in, what a mistake that was for them.

Was looking for a watch that seem to be sold out everywhere. Found the Moyer website and they had the watch I was looking for. Had a great chat with Derek, he is very accommodating and patience. Shipping was fast and the packaging was exceptional. Would definately do business here again.

I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Scott! I had been looking for an Omega Speedmaster with the Sapphire Crystal and had called multiple Authorized Dealers. In the end, the customer service that I received from Scott made the choice a no brainer. They have been my preferred Jeweler since purchasing my engagement and wedding rings from them and I have subsequently worked with them to purchase pieces in all of the above mentioned categories. Moyer has great customer service and competitive pricing as well as many fun customer appreciation events. Sarah Brown has been especially pleasant to work with. She keeps me informed of current inventory and sales and works with me using her knowledge of current trends and her eye for style to help select the perfect piece.

bough a Preowned Grand Seiko SBGA031 online. I'm happy with the watch for the price I got it for. But when I asked the store regarding scratches on the case back, all I can get back is the watch was in perfect condition when they have it and suggest that I'm causing damage on purpose for some reason. these are some close up pics taken by me using my Samsung s10 compare to the listing pics

Of course google says they are open on Sundays, but they are not. I saw three other people try to go into the store with 10 minutes of us.

I visited Moyer Fine Jewelers in October to shop for an engagement ring with my girlfriend.

Our sales person, Derek, helped us find the perfect band and diamond: an Asscher cut diamond on a Tacori Reverse Crescent band. My fiancee loves the ring! Derek was very helpful and informative throughout the process. In comparison with the handful of other jewelers that we visited, Moyer Fine Jewelers on Thatcher Lane was by far the best.We highly recommend them!

Here is what Derek Krepper at Moyer did for me: Three years ago I had seen a watch at a Breitling boutique that I fell in love with, but decided not to buy. It was a limited edition Navitimer with an all black face. Breitling produced the watch in two different sizes, a 43mm and a 46mm. Both sizes were a limited edition. A few months ago I started searching for this watch in a 46mm. On a watch website, I saw that Moyer Jewelers was selling an unworn a 43mm. On a prayer, I contacted Derek Krepper to see if he might be able to find a used 46mm. He told me he would get right back to me and later in the day I got a call. It just so happened that a friend of his is a Breitling rep and he made a call back to HQ and low and behold, they had a brand new version in the 46mm as requested. When Derek told me the price, I couldn't refuse and purchased it immediately. Since it came from Switzerland it took a total of 10 days to arrive to me in Los Angeles. This morning it came and the regret that I had of not buying it three years ago disappeared.

1. I gave Derek what seemed to me a very difficult task to find one of 1,000 versions produced. Not only did he find the specific 2016 model, but he found a brand new one.

2. I was in a bit of a rush as I was leaving on a trip and I needed to know it would arrive before I left. It did.

3. I had never bought an expensive watch online and had an inherent distrust. Knowing that Moyer is a certified Breitling dealer dispelled all of my concerns.

4. The customer service was not just professional, but top notch all the way. Communication was prompt and it made the buying experience impeccable to say the very least.

5. My next watch purchase will be through Moyer and I will no doubt be contacting Derek.

After I had a horrible experience with another jeweler (Petite G Jewelers at 56th and Illinois - stay away!) who wanted to charge me $20 to adjust a link out of a new watchband. I looked up jewelry stores and called Moyer's and spoke with Bill who said he would be happy to help, and that they do not charge for this type of service - but would be happy to accept a small donation to the Humane Society! It took Bill less than 7 minutes to adjust the band. He was very nice and professional as were the rest of the staff I talked to. The store is beautiful! This is how you gain customers! I plan on visiting again around Christmas time! These folks, obviously, know about customer service! 5 Stars!

I have been inside this story a few times and each time the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Scott was very knowledgeable about some of the watches I looked at, and was able to help me pick out a great locket as a present for my wife. This is easily at the top of my list of places to visit when looking for jewelry or a new watch.

The Bridal Team at Moyer are a class act! We purchased my husband s wedding band and sport band in the winter and months later, a week before our wedding he realized that his ring needed a slight adjustment if it was going to fit during our ceremony. I guess fingers swell a bit in the warmer months.
He took the ring back to Moyer to resize with a tight turn around and the resident jeweler at Moyer was able to take care of everything!

I've been saving for my first luxury watch and had shopped around to several different companies. I emailed MFJ asking for more information on an Omega as they are an authorized dealer which made them stand out to me. The next day (Saturday) I received a reply from Scott Poisel. I immediately called him and he was VERY helpful. Scott is very knowledgeable and helpful by understanding what I liked and helping me decide. He didn't push me or try to upsell me, was patient, answered all my questions. I even asked him about price matching another dealer. To my mistake, I misunderstood the price Scott offered originally. When I brought up the price he corrected me and requoted me his correct price which was lower than I thought. He could have made a few extra bucks on me and I wouldn't even had known but Scott is an honest man. Responded quickly to emails, phones calls and texts messages, sent photos and resized the watch before shipping. Throughout the whole process he was there every step of the way. His professionalism and customer service is ultimately why I kept in contact with him. I ended up getting the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. I'll be back for a Seamaster one day and Scott is my guy.

I just had an incredible experience with Sarah Brown at Moyer. I had some loose family diamonds that had sentimental value, but I didn't know what to do with them. I reached out and Sarah listened to what I was trying to accomplish and worked within my budget to create an absolutely stunning custom pendant for my wife. My wife was a bit misty when she opened the box and I'm now a customer for life. After having shopped at multiple jewelry stores over the years - I won't be shopping anywhere else.

I was looking for a very specific watch. It had to be an exact match or nothing at all. I live in Tampa, Florida. So, I emailed 3 local jewelers and 3 out-of-town jewelers - Moyer being one of them in Indiana. Derek Krepper at Moyer called me within 1 business hour. He found the exact watch I was looking for, and he had it on my wrist in just a few days. None of the other jewelers even responded to my email - in any form or fashion. Why do they have websites and email addresses if they will not return any sales inquiries? Well, Moyer has a website and an email address - and if you use it someone at Moyer will communicate back to you. Derek made buying a watch in Indiana easier than buying a watch from a store down my street. I will patronize this store again in the future. They actually earn your business.

And, they have the knowledge and expertise to create one of a kind pieces or repair a family heirloom. I shopped around for several months for an IWC 3777-17. I found Moyer online and sent them a message. A man named Derek Krepper promptly responded. Not only answering a few questions I had, but also went the distance to help me out. I have a very large wrist and always have to buy extra links. When I explained this to him. He said NO PROBLEM! Just measure your wrist, send me the measurements. I'll size the watch and send it out. So he did! Keep in mind that after all this he still gave me the best deal I have found in months. So this will definitely not be the last watch I buy from them.

Like Mr Combs, I was scammed on a purchase. Lied to. I accept that it s my own responsibility as I didn t do my homework. It was an emotional purchase. But, I ll never return. The one guy there is slick and prob gets a cut on the deal. But, they are not to be trusted. BEWARE! Was just at Ries Nichols. Highly recommend them.

I was celebrating my 30th Wedding Anniversary and wanted to have my ring reset. I met with Beth Sabato a Gemologist at Moyer s. She spent a lot of time helping me custom create my ring and she made sure all the details were perfect! She did an incredible job and my ring is Gorgeous. My ring exceeded all my expectations! Do not go here to sell anything, they will offer you the lowest price possible. Went to another jeweler and they offered a much better buying price. Very rude and stuck up associates. I would not recommend this place to sell or even buy from.
