Incredible company -Hands down the best building supply company in the Salt Lake Valley. I send everyone I know there.

My family has worked with Mountain View Builders Supply for years and although their products are of good quality, their customer service sucks. In order to get any help via phone or email, you must follow up over and over again. Generally, we find that we have to drive to their office to get the help we need. In addition, if you post a negative review they won't provide you with any more quotes. Seriously.....??? I thought this was a way for them to receive feedback and improve their service. Instead, they threaten you and require you to remove your review or they won't help you! This practice is supported by Chad Cox who is the owner.

Great prices and very friendly and helpful. Forget the big box stores and shop local.

I normally do not leave reviews, good or bad. I try to form my own opinion with my experience. I have realized (now that I have completed a home remodel) that these reviews are very important for us the consumer. I wish I would have read more reviews while choosing contractors and companies to give my hard earned money too. I spent $7,000 with Mountain View for all new doors and trim in my home.

As soon as the order was placed, the phones calls nearly never were answered or returned. All my doors except 2 arrived as per my order- 1 door was shipped with no glass, after a few phone calls and texts they finally arrived with the glass and installed. Honest mistake, it s winter so the cold air coming through the door for a day or two was annoying, but we survived. The other door ($2,000 front entry door) was shipped with the wrong swing, it would not open without hitting my stair case. Chad Cox and an associate both came to my house on separate occasions and measured all the doors.

I guess they did not write down the swing for this door, so a 3rd associate called and asked my wife which way the door swings open. She said if your looking at it, it opens to the left he said thanks and have a good day . The professional representative from Mountain View did not ask my wife if she was looking at it from the inside or outside, and she is not a door professional. I already paid $1,500 to have the door stained before we installed and realized 3 different associate made a mistake on the door.

I finally received a text from Chad (week later) saying he would not spend the $200 to have the repaired parts of the door stained, and that he would be doing me a favor if he were to even repair the door at all because it was half my wife s fault. He said it would be costing him $800 and a days labor. I spent $7,000 and took a day off work to be here while my front door was removed from my house, taken to his shop for repair, damaged, and returned a few hours later (again, it s cold outside). And now I m paying $400 to have the door stained where it was repaired.

Im not perfect, I have made plenty of mistakes in my life. The reason I m writing the review is because my hard earned money was not enough for him to take responsibility for his companies mistakes, and make them right with me, or at least approach me in a way that showed he genuinely cared and was concerned about how we could come to a fair agreement.

We recently built a house and are now in the process of finishing our basement. Mountain View Builders has always gone above and beyond to help us in this process. They have always delivered our materials on time. This week we were in a time crunch due to a change of finishing plans. (Ya I m good at changing my mind at the last minute. ) They worked with us and had the new plan materials delivered that very day. Also they designed and built my front door for me a year ago. It is a beautiful quarter sawn white oak door with windows. They did an amazing job recreating my vision of this door and I absolutely love it and get so many compliments on it.

The really do their best to take care of your finish materials needs.

Horrible builder..... Built a door incorrectly and did not stand behind their work. I highly recommend you look elsewhere to get a professional builder who you can trust!!!!

Good products but horrible customer service!! Wish I would of done business with a different company. Would not recommend. I never leave reviews but the way I was treated was very unprofessional.

I have been trying for two weeks to get a quote on some doors for my office. Can't get anyone to call me back let alone get a price. Very poor customer service.

Mountainvew is the best in the business. We have dealt with many of the local supply companies and always go back to Mountainview. Steve and Chad have done a phenomenal job building a top rated company with a top rated staff. A+ rated company !
