I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism as I sincerely do want to see Carolina Mountain Cable grow and improve.

Our issue was resolved, although it took a month or two and many phone calls to get it taken care of.

Some advice: More knowledgeable and less hostile customer service people and technicians would make for a huge customer service experience improvement.

As a former cable installer, I had to explain to your technician how to use and read his equipment when he came here to test our line. He didn't even know how to replace the battery in the scanner he brought with him. I ended up having to do it for him, but both batteries he brought were too dead to finish tests being performed. That being said, we've generally been satisfied with our service once we lowered our plan to the 30Mbps tier, although we still experience connectivity issues almost every time it rains hard.

One other point of contention is your charging of a fee to customers who have issues with their service and want to lower their speed tier plan. This simply adds to customer frustration, especially when we never received the higher speeds we were paying for when we had the 60 or 100Mbps speed tiers.

We stayed with your company as a customer because we honestly prefer to support smaller, local providers over large incumbent providers like Charter or AT&T.

I hope to see future improvements on customer service, connectivity, and speeds. We would certainly move back to a higher speed tier if we received the actual speeds advertised, and know when we experience an issue, a knowledgeable support person would be available to assist us without a negative attitude.

Again, I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism and used to improve customer experience and connectivity.

Calls got cables laying on the ground fallen tress on top of it.

I do not have an account there but I receive calls...

I do not have an account there but I receive calls often giving out personal information regarding an account that is not mine. To me, that is unprofessional and illegal. However, from the calls I have gotten I am glad to know that your customer service is much better than it was years ago when I first started receiving phone calls.

Internet service is great. Prices are fair. If they have lines in your area, you can't beat the price or internet. Helpful staff. Only down side is, if you need help on the weekend that the tech line can't fix, you have to wait till Monday for help.

Been with this company for 5 years almost and have had great service we moved once and stayed with them and have never had a cut off and always great internet service nice people that work there and easy to make payments!!! I recommend highly

We ve had service from Carolina Mountain Cablevision since they started serving our area. All through the years there were often connection issues with the cable tv service especially after it rained. The picture quality was as if watching tv through a screen door unit we could get someone to come out and clean or replace the connections on the pole near our house. It was never an issue with the connections on our house as they were always dry.
After I returned home to care for my aging mother I decided to convert her account over to internet only since there is a buffering feature that would hopefully solve the bad connections we were having with them. Unfortunately it did not because we were still left without any signal at all and for long periods of time. Especially after any rain. If I could get them to come out they would climb the pole across the street, clean or replace the connector and our signal would be back to normal before the technician was off the pole.
It s like the customer service people simply don t care about their customers.
Finally after missing a virtual doctor s appointment in July 2020 for my mother, who is bedridden, I called and disconnected the service. The lady that took my call was argumentative and had even reported back to their main office days earlier that we had no service issues at our residence when we had almost no service from Thursday till the following Monday afternoon. They always blame the customer saying there s too many devices using the signal but if there s no signal coming in then it doesn t matter if it one device or fifty it isn t going to work. They even stated that a technician had left a doorknob placard stating that they had been here. I m here almost 100 percent of the time and since there was no placard left on our gate or in the mailbox or anyone knocking on our door I m guessing no one came.
I would recommend contacting the county commissioners because I ve already written to the company ceo with zero response from them.

Worst cable company ever. rain or wind we loose fox and cbs. Complained many times and ( I am sorry but we are short staffed and doing everything possible to get it fixed) this has been going on for over a year and half. But they want our monthly payments. Time to get dish.
