We went snow-tubing, and early March is the perfect time of the year for it: sunny with a clear blue sky, yet cold, with plenty of snow on the ground. The runs were icy and fast, which the are ideal conditions. Enjoyed it immensely!
Manager cut the day in half and told us as we were walking out fully geared. That being said we three paid $400 to snowboard for 3 hours. They offered us a 30% off pass for our next visit, but half of us lived in London so wouldn t be able to use it. It was completely ridiculous. I asked they offer us a 30% refund and they said no. Will not be returning.
Of the 3 local hills I prefer Mt. Seymour for it's more laid back vibes. Runs can be super busy on weekends but there's enough variety to keep you entertained between chairlift runs.
Views up the Indian arm inlet and down the Fraser Valley on clear days are jaw dropping gorgeous!
The good: it is family-oriented, their staff is friendly and they have an excellent snowpark. They also offer a cheap and convenient shuttle service to/from Rupert Station and Parkgate.
The bad: the runs are not well connected to each other so there is a lot of flat parts and walking required. There is the same issue at Grouse mountain but to a lesser extent. The Lodge chairlift is the slowest I have ever used and needs an upgrade.
The ugly: Getting to Seymour is a nightmare on sunny weekends because of the hundreds of snowshoers that take all the parking. We have been stuck in traffic jams several times, which is not a great way of starting the day.
You can take the shuttle to avoid this issue but I feel like this is not enough. Please find a better system such as restricting access for everyone s sake.
Alright mountain good for park riders and beginners draw backs short runs and occasionally long lines
One of the best place in BC. Anyway with snow or without everyone find to spend his time with joy. And view is just breathtaking.
Lines get a little long at peak hours but overall it's got fun trails
I fail to see the reason *all* tickets couldn't be $10 on Monday nights. Charging one gender three times as much and having the audacity to state that none of it will go to the charity involved is ludicrous. Somebody should be fired...
Good easy beginners slope. Was here teaching a friend how to ski for the first time!
Did evening snow shoeing up dog mountain.. good minor challange.. awesome view from the top look out. Just have to remember your way back at night
This is a skiing area and in Summer the trails are open to walkers etc. We went to Dog Lake which was beautiful and peaceful with plenty of birdsong. This walk was 1km so a nice distance for me. A very pleasant outing indeed.
Have been going here for years. Good value. Friendly staff. Great instructors for kids and grown ups alike. Early Bird season pass is good value.
Great, local ski/snowshoe/hiking mountain, nice little cafe also. Great views!
Came here to go snowshoeing. The recommended trail was a little short, but still a nice hike.
Fantastic place to ski and snowboard good compared to local mountains maybe cypress is the only one that is better in Vancouver area
It is more fun to bring children to ski on the holy day.
bunny hill for kids is very good, covered magic carpet
Favourite destination for winter and summer activities! The hike is always enjoyable, and it s close to the city too. The only downside is the parking can be a little bit of problem because it s such a popular destination.
We did some tubing, runs were kind of fast
Lots of fun
Great little mountain. Just over the bridge from Vancouver. Friendly and helpful staff. Good snow and a totally fun tubbing area. Free parking (but packed). Better to come early or late
Great terrain park. Lots of awesome jumps and rails. Been an amazing season. You would be missing out if you didn t go up with these conditions.
High speed quad is awesome, lift operators were great. Savannah at the ticket desk was friendly and very helpful. Can t wait to get up here to ride again. Great resort for all levels of skiers and riders.
Certified ski and snowboard instructor.
Great local mountain, very convenient, lots of people and lots of snow but as would be expected the snow of questionable quality
Great mountain. however, the staff seems a little unorganized but very friendly. Lift open an hour late today
The worst of the North Shore mountains. A lot of the staff is rude, most of the chairlifts are very old, the terrain doesn't vary much, and the lines are often as long as other local mountains. It gets three stars because it's still a place to ski locally, but it's my last choice among the local options.
They are amazing and thoughtful up here. We needed their help and they were fantastic.
Great skiing and snowboarding resort. Wonderful views.
Nice family type ski area. Good for beginners. Local mountain easy to get to. Lots of parking
Best view out of all three local mountains. Terrain parks are great but mostly advance ones. Love their Monday Ladies Nights.
Great day on the mountain for a 2 h beginner lesson. Super busy day but all the staff was great, especially Wyatt in the equipment rentals and Will the instructor
Great fun teaching the lil uns. Lovely local mountain. Week day evenings are my pick for chill times and no line ups on the road.
Took our kids a week ago and they had a fantastic time. They had their first skiing lesson and they absolutely loved it. We booked a private lesson for them and we definitely were not disappointed. The instructors name was Luc Gold, he was amazing with the kids. He was patient, and very good at his job. We enjoyed our time and best of all our kids want to go back.
Went on Boxing Day. Went with a group of beginners. We had a blast! It seemed busy, but very well organized. Nice little mountain. Will go again.
It's good to be back at Seymour mountain 2020! It's definitely perfect place for anyone wants to learn ski or snowboard!
As for views, the top of mountain sure is breathtaking! Highly recommend everyone come and visit!
Busy day on the mountain even tho it was "closed" lots on the trails and backcountry.
i love skiing here, its a good beginner mountain, also, whats with the abandonned ski lift to the right of Seymour's 16 and Mistletoe?
Mount Seymour is a ski resort that is only 33 kilometers from the heart of Vancouver. The mountain is not high and the slope is not steep. It is a good place for beginners and young people, middle-aged and elderly people to ski. There are many walking trails in the mountain, and there is also a long way to walk. Suitable for people of different ages to walk and play in the snow. It is a good place for snow viewing.
Great little hill with park features, backcountry access, and snowshoeing trails. Just make sure you know what to expect; it is small and at low elevation. But if you're cool with that it is perfect for a mid-week or evening rip. The backcountry areas regularly capture lost travelers so make sure you understand backcountry travel and know the area before getting too daring. The resort itself has good deals like the 3-Ski ($99) and Lady's Night.
We take our grandkids and love it. They have learnt so quickly - the slopes are great for all of us. The season's rental package for the kids is amazing - the mountain makes it so easy. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place - ski for the afternoon and then back for dinner or in the spring we have enjoyed a walk along the water. The seniors and kids rate are unbeatable and what a great way to spend time with these precious kids.
Great ski mountain for beginners. Lots of good runs. You literally drive up to the mountain.
Fantastic views 360 degree of everywhere. Way fewer people on the trail than cypress. Prefer here as you see more than the islands and the scenery before getting to the top is so diversified. Love it a lot! Be prepared with solid boots as you need to come across lots of rugged areas with roots and rocks. The distance between the second peak and Seymour peak is quite difficult regarding to the narrow walk through cliff and steep rocks high up. But the scenery at the peak worths everything.
Great hill, more of an beginner/intermediate hill for learners
Awesome experience that's not too expensive and great for beginners of both snowboarding and skiing
Awesome place for kids ski or snowboard lessons. A lot easier to find a parking spot than Grouse and Cypress. Instructors are super friendly and professional.
I don't ski here. But I love to drive up the road late at night
Probably the best place to skii on the north shore! And only place to see a teletubby
Some lovely hikes out here. We did the Dog Mountain hike. The view at the top of this trail is just gorgeous - fab views of Vancouver
I am only assessing the resort for snowshoeing.
Annoying that snowshoe trails get closed at 4pm. This seems to be standard for all mountains in Vancouver BC area.
I would say the shuttle cost to the top of the mountain should be called complimentary, and the resort just incorporates it into cost of everything else you can buy. And even offer a deal on season pass for snowshoeing plus shuttle.
I guess no one figured there would be anyone wanting to change their wet clothes before going home. The washroom I used, near guest services, had nothing more than a bench next to the door.
Plus's is they have lots of different snowshoes to fit your weight and I think multiple styles for types of snow (ie deep, packed ect) but don't quote me on that, it just looked like the snowshoes were not all the same shape.
Staff are all quite friendly, although both that helped me were complaining of not having eaten for 4 hours, not sure why they did not have a snack with them but whatever.
Signage is clear, but not intuitive, so the signage looked like it was only at the top of the hills. Signs directing you around would be greatly appreciated. It was only by chance I saw a sign below eye level for snowshoe trails.
Great local hill. It would be nice if there was a coffee shop sort of place for parents who are waiting while the kids are in lessons.
The location of Spartan race Vancouver...we got rain and foggy and muddy for the whole 4hours that we were there.
Mt.Seymour is thebomb. Best of the 3 .Always some new terrain to challenge. Always well groomed blue/green runs for practice.
It's a good local hill to learn on, not so pricey and a easy bunny hill. Was not too busy on Saturday as well (which is a plus)
Great when it's not crowded, you can get there with public transport, which is really great plus, since sometimes you can't get parking there
Ski. Trail. There are many activities that we can do.
Have been skiing here for years. Great local mountain.
Hiked dog mountain. Very rooty. Very muddy. Trail is washed out in a few spots. Lots of bugs. Fantastic view at the top. Took us just over an hour to get there. Elevation climb is not large. If you expecting groomed trail, this is not the one for you. Proper footwear needed.
Great local mountain, great side hits. Go here to work on some skills, there's always skills and terrain to work on.
Great Value, just don't expect 5 mile runs.
Loads of hiking in the summer, I hiked Dog Mtn. And it is the easiest north shore hike with a great view! Bring some peanuts for the critters, the Whiskey Jack's will land on your hand to take them, though they only seem to be around on the weekends.
Great view up there, especially at night. The slopes are pretty good. It's really enjoyable at night but there is not enough slope open after 5 pm (2 main slopes with some shortcuts and longcuts). Perfect for families and beginners.
Dog mountain is a great place for snowshoeing. The trail is well groomed & provides a nice work out as it winds through the forest, up & down hills. However it is very busy on the weekends since it is a family friendly trail. When you're not coming across other people & their dogs, it is actually quite peaceful.
Using the Dog mountain trail is free but to toboggan or slide on crazy carpets, you need to buy tickets.
Great summer hiking, with options for ages (adventurous) 3+.
