This is lengthy but I feel it s important, so please bear with me! Two of my children go here and I can t say enough. Finding a quality daycare is an extremely stressful process, and has taken me a lot of trial and error, with taking them out of three daycare centres before finding this one. After a last ditch attempt at finding a suitable daycare to suit their needs, I gave up and registered them for kindergarten at a public school. I realized at the meet and greet with the teachers (with much shock at how children so young are treated), that the ODSB has completely gone down the tubes, and your children are treated like a heard of animals and just a number, with no thought to their personal development and mental/emotional needs. I would have liked to place them in a Montessori school but they were ALL full until the following fall. So with much anxiety I googled (once again), and found this gem of a place.
They are in the kinder program and it is just like a private school. The teachers are all amazing, kind hearted, gentle, patient, caring, affectionate, great humoured people, and I am extremely grateful to them for how they treat my children. They do lots of field trips, and learn so much! I was schooled by my son about why his cup of milk fell over (I said your milk fell because you re fooling around! To my amazement he said NO MOM. It fell cause of gravity! LOL at that time he was only 3 years old, and he then proceeded to give me an entire lesson on gravity which he learnt at school). Student to teacher ratio is excellent and class size is very small.
They went from begging me everyday and full out crying to stay home from all previous daycares, to being extremely annoyed and impatient during the weekends, while waiting for Monday so they can go back to school.
I can t say enough, and if you are lucky enough to have a spot there, your children will do great, I am sure of that!
