Dirty Dawgz Plano Review

This is a review for the grooming services not for the self-serve area.
We went in the first time with our two dogs (a golden retriever and a black lab) and the cost to have them groomed by the groomer was the same for both dogs ($45 a piece, despite a large difference in our dogs sizes). When we picked them up they smelled great and we thought the grooming was of good quality. We were excited to use them again.

When we made a second appointment about a month later, they only had availability in the middle of a weekday, so my husband re-arranged his work schedule to get them to the groomer at 1pm. When he showed up, with both dogs in tow (which I can tell you is no small feat with two large dogs), he was told "Oh, the groomer called in today. There's no one to groom your dogs."

No one had called either of us to let us know our appointments had been effectively canceled and they did not offer to reschedule us. Just a, Nope we aren't grooming your dogs today so you can leave. No consideration, no apology. Nothing. It seemed extremely rude and weird, especially given that the last person we had dealt with at Dirty Dawgz was so nice.

This location has new ownership. The place has gone DOWN HILL!!! The water is COLD - the Soap does not work - No Water Pressure - No Towels - Very Unorganized!!! It was Great - now it is Really Bad!!! Look elsewhere for your Dog Washing!!!!!

Great place to take my large dogs to bathe them!
Most of the time the staff are great and super helpful when needed.

No professionalism is this place... I called to let them know that I missed my appointment and if I can reschedule. But before I could even finish my sentence, the owner in the back started yelling at the person that answered the phone stating that I am going to have to forfeit my voucher. The lady in the back was completely rude to the person that answered the phone, I can't imagine how she would have acted if she was the one that answered the phone. Never will I deal with this place again specially knowing that they are only out to get their money.

This review is for the grooming, not the facility. I took my Sheepadoodle there, and went over exactly how I wanted him trimmed. Just a trim, as he has had 2 trims before so had a shape, just needed a trim. She totally shaved him, ears and all. He doesn't even look like the same dog. I will NEVER EVER go there again to get my dog groomed. I suggest you don't either. I know my dogs hair will grow, but I don't know why she didn't even listen to what I asked her to do.

Good place to get my large dog bathed. This place is a revolving door for minimum wage workers. Some of the staff seems incompetent, slow, and not very intuitive. I try to get in and get out - it gets the job done.

Friendly Staff and the best grooming in town. Reasonable Pricing.
