First off we booked a table at 9 pm, we had to wait outside for 30 mins just to get a table ready. having to check with the manager twice. once seated our iced water is always empty, and again asking different twice to refill our drinks. a female waiter zipped off after a friend of mine called for assistance at the table. and the waiting time for the food was horrible, a good one hour and our mains were not served. the lobster soup tasted weird were guessing the ingriendients used were not fresh at all. disappointment after all the hype we hear about this place, oh i almost forgot they forgot one of my orders...

2nd visit few month later ... in anyways perfect, really enjoyed attention, recommendations, food, service - thank you !

Meat quality and cooking not as in the US ! Been to serveral Morton s and it seems , there are different standards. Wines, coffees, desserts as good as always.
However, service and manager today were excellent !

Had my private dining company dinner here. The room was spacious and service was great. Portion size is american size which is rare to find in singapore. Steaks were cooked well. No issues.

The organisation prior to the private event was a bit messy and unorganised despite planning 1.5months in advance. Food items were not avail most likely due to covid but no early warning. Lack of decor available by morton's which is a bit odd despite being located in the hotel.

The price is a bit high but expected.

Would definitely come here again, can't fault them on their steaks. Ideally perhaps slightly lower prices and better arrangements and organisation for private events.

Brought my wife to Morton's Steakhouse @ Mandarin ...

Brought my wife to Morton's Steakhouse @ Mandarin Oriental to celebrate her birthday! Received a phone call to confirm my reservation. Was asked if I was celebrating anything and told them it is my wife's birthday! They then told me that that would prepare a personalised menu (2nd pic) and provide a complimentary dessert for her birthday! It is so nice of them!

Upon arrival at the restaurant they wished my wife Happy Birthday once they know my reservation details. They have even prepared a nicely made photo holder/birthday card!

Like many steakhouses, a loaf of bread is with butter at the side is served! The bread was really fragrant (it was onion fragrance I believe) and tasty! I would have finished the whole bread if I wasn't so full from the rest of the dishes.

For drinks, we only ordered a Mocktail, Rosemary ($10) (we don't really fancy alcohol). It was a sweet drink that whets our appetite.

For appetizers, we shared a serving of Maine Lobster Cocktail ($51). It was served Mayonnaise and Salsa on the side. The lobster was fresh and juicy. Based on the portion I see, it was probably from one lobster body or the claw.

We also shared a portion of Lobster Bisque ($38). They portioned it out into 2 smaller bowls for us, so the picture that you see is not an accurate representation of the whole portion of soup. It was unlike any other lobster bisque that I have had before, it had that creamy taste but it wasn't that thick either and it didn't have that strong 'lobstery' taste that made it taste kind of fake. There were also some lobster chunks added into the soup. It is delicious!

My wife had the 'Fillet of Fresh Salmon Topped with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat With 3 Grilled Shrimp & 2 Shrimp Alexander' ($110). People who loves seafood would definitely love this dish! The salmon tasted awesome and the shrimps were succulent and juicy! The crab tasted slightly more 'crabby' to our liking but it was fine!

I had the '6 oz. Filet Mignon with 3 Grilled Shrimp & 2 Bacon Wrapped Scallops' ($108). I had the steak with medium doneness. I felt the tenderness of the meat the moment I put the knife through it! It tasted wonderful! The scallop wrapped with bacon was yummy as well!

Though the meal cost alot but the service and food was great! I would love to be back here for another meal but probably on another big occasion. I think the prices may differ from time to time though as the prices were different from the ones that we saw from a blog article published this year.

Terrible Maitre'D.

Terrible Maitre'D.

The trouble with this restaurant is that the staffs are trying to hard to be "sophisticated and up-class" without understanding that a good restaurant needs to have "good service" and this means having waiters who are willing to serve from their heart!

I dined before many years ago but this time I come for the happy hour bar that last till 7pm. The 50% off martini is my favorite and continue the old charm with steak sandwiches to be tasted for free. Love the ambience and great choice of the Martini cocktails . My favourite one lady s the lychee martini !

High end steak house. Didn t disappoint. Waitress knows the menu very well and is able to provide good recommendation. The food was very well done and the size of the servings are just nice, including desserts. Bill for 4 person including a bottle of wine comes up to around $200/- per pax, which is within expectation. Will certainly come again.

Everyone is just so friendly at mandarin oriental. That's why I love staying at this hotel everywhere I go. Staff at mortons too are just as proper and sweet.
Their cocktails at happy hour too just make that smile bigger on your face. Free steak sarnies too from 5-7pm. You know how a medium rare steak is so juicy? A slice of that is sandwiched by two soft buns and slathered in a horseradish cream. Oh so gooood!!! The chocotinis are the best in town too. Those steak sandwiches and one cocktail will fill you up too. Writing this review just makes me wish for Monday happy hour to come.

This place is *the* venue I select when it's my birthday or for other celebrations.

The food is consistently of a high standard and quality. I would say that the serving sizes are relatively larger than most other restaurants in Singapore, so you won't walk away not feeling discontented.

The staff are professional, friendly and helpful.

The decor and ambience is very well suited for romantic dates, and the service from the staff will make you and your dinner guest feel very welcome and comfortable. It can be a little dimly lit, but the staff can help you with another table light if needed.

Added tip #1, try the Morton's Bar for a pre-dinner drink, especially if you're waiting for a group of friends. You can ask to have your drinks moved to your table in the restaurant once your group arrives.

Added tip #2, if you have a table of 5 or more, try asking for the private dining room. If it's available the staff are often nice enough to give it to you, especially if you're celebrating something.

Added tip #3, you can add lobster to the Mac & Cheese, which will make it a Lobster Mac & Cheese to die for!

Added tip #4, if you inform the staff that you're celebrating when you book your table, they will prepare something special for you.

Been a few years since I last came. The place has undergone a renovation since, and I feel it has lost a fair bit of the charm and class. Even the pre-dinner "show" of explaining the ingredients at the table side has been removed (probably due to COVID). Portions have been sized down and even the round table we were sitting at felt rickety every time I tried to lean forward and put my elbows on the table.
Nevertheless, quality of food remains excellent. That was the saving grace

Morton s The Steakhouse s fall menu features the Black Truffle & Porcini-Crusted Center-Cut Wagyu Filet ($118), Gold Label Wagyu New York Medallion ($138), Burrata, Brussels Sprouts & Roasted Butternut Squash Salad ($28) and Gnocchi with Gorgonzola Cream ($18). My mouth was watering just looking at the steaks, and they truly didn t disappoint. If you love the taste of an authentic steak, the thick cut of new york medallion was really nice and simple. It was packed with juices and I enjoyed it with just some salt. On the other hand, the truffle wagyu filet was bursting with flavour and the crust was my favourite part of the steak. It was topped with a balsamic and roasted shallot butter which I was so surprised at how good it was.

I had high expectations coming to this restaurant ...

I had high expectations coming to this restaurant as it was recommended on a few food places as one of the tip steakhouses in Singapore. Thus, i was very disappointed with what I experience.

In general, the service is bad because..

1) Unfriendly and unwelcoming
The service right from the onset could have been better. When we arrived, we were greatly fairly coldly. This was abit disappointing considering the price we were paying, better service was expected.

2) No initiative
Next the server, only provided us with one out of two of their menus, and didnt really bother to recommend the dishes or portion sizes, even when prompted by us about our food preferences. For example, we mention we needed 1 non beef option, and the server just kept saying they didnt have other food. I went there specifically because I did research that said there was pork and fish. Yet, the menu she handed us was the beef menu, and she didnt know to provide us with the other menu until alot of prompting from us.

3)Poor response to Feedback
When we commented that the food was not cooked enough, we were retorted that we didnt know how to eat beef and the proper way to cook it. The staff was supported by her manager. Overall, they came off snobbish and rude. It felt like they didnt really want us there right from the start.

The only nice thing about the place was the ambience, dessert and bread.

This was a very disappointing experience as it was meant to be a celebratory lunch for our group.

A classic Morton's. This is a very nice steak-oriented restaurant that also does a great job with wines and cocktails. The service is excellent. Best vodka martini in Singapore for sure. Worth a visit for the steak or burger as well as the great hapoy hour specials.

Fantastic ambience. As I went during dinner, the place was dimly-lit, romantic but not in a nauseating way, and the couple booths are just one of a kind of unique. With retractable tables and spacious semicircular padded seats, it makes your dinner date as comfortable as possible while titillating your senses.

Make no mistake, this place is located in Mandarin Oriental and be prepared to spend at least (~$150 / pax) here, even if you're just getting 1 main each and a bottle of still water to share. But it is well worth it - let me elaborate.

I ordered the Cajun steak. At 1200 calories, this hefty piece of meat is no easy feat. Juicy, tender and full of flavor, the steak will fill your mouth with a smorgasbord of tastes that will leave you reeling as you chew on the ample proportions while savouring the marbled fat in each piece. It is a dining experience like no other; each piece is pure ambrosia.

For the food alone, I would give it 6 stars if I could. It definitely blows other lower-priced steak out of the window as far as I have experienced. The service is impeccable and waiters delight in enquiring if you have savoured every bite or not, ensuring you leave the restaurant satisfied.

Remember to reserve seats early in advance to secure the booth seats, which really upgrades the dining experience by several notches.

Extremely disappointing experience, ordered the seasonal royale ribeye ($112++) and was recommended with a medium done steak. The steak came rare done in the centre, upon noticed by the waitress that we were unhappy with the steak, she checked if we wanted the steak to be re-heated again (not replaced). She added that this steak due to the thickness of the cut, it is extremely difficult to cook it well and hard to find a balance (perhaps they should re-train their chef & waitress??). Total waste of good ingredients in poorly trained chef. The recommended Lyonaisse potato sides is total waste of calories! Caesar salar & bread was the only comforting food we had.

Both me and my wife ordered medium rare but if you take a look at the picture.. all I'll say is, disappoinment is over the roof.
However the saving grace will be the free bread which is exceptional.
Will not recommend this place to anybody I know.

Avoid this place. Celebrated an event here Dec 2018, figured let's give Morton's a try. Don't be fooled. This is no Morton's.

3 of our 4 steaks and two of our sides were straight-up cold. Sent back only to be reheated. Guess what? Reheated steaks just turn into a dry mess. No change out. No apology.

$100 corkage. So we ordered the sommeliers special chateauneuf. Bottle was corked and swapped out without hassle. But to serve corked wines on special is a thing. Watch out.

No comps.

Overall just a sad and totally off-brand experience.

Definitely go elsewhere.

Steak quality is not the only one that is as good in the area, so the price is high considerably the next hotel at the back is half the price. The ambience is terribly dark and it s music is louder and contemporary which is not what boardroom dining is all about. I do feel that the Management miss the point somehow! Local young man that served my table was the only good thing for that visit. The rest of the crew seem bored!

Enjoyed the mignon and New York strip loin. Well priced for the quality. Tried two steak sauces- the cognac pepper sauce and the truffle butter- both were lovely, but you didn't really need em for the delicious steaks they serve up.

Service wise, attentive, friendly. However slight hiccup as they initially assigned us a table right in front of their kitchen service counter where there was clattering of plates, grease, and made it very unsuitable for relaxed dining. Staff had been a little passive in facilitating us to another dining table upon our request.

Cocktails were great too! Bespoke bar standard.

Had the bone in rib eye. Charred on the outside. Can never go wrong with this as it's the same thing I'll order at Morton's over and over. They are consistent with good steak and service. Last night there was a hiccup with one of the side dishes and they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Will be back !

Been to Morton's before in the past and it has continued to lived up to its service and for standards indeed.
I came here for the Happy Hour to try out all their different MORtinis and they were indeed very unique and beautiful drinks.
They also served Fillet Mignon sandwiches which were complementary. Truly makes the occasion so much more pleasant and enjoyable.

What an amazing meal! All their meat is imported from the USA and is of superb quality. I came in just before they closed and was surprised to be warmly welcomed and pampered. This was, without a doubt, one of the top 2 or 3 experiences I've ever had in a steakhouse.
I was guided through a wine selection to match my steak, quickly served and taken care of as if I was a regular.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Wonderful decore, attitudes, and superior food.

When I'm in Singapore a visit to Morton's is a must for me. Gorgeous meal. I love the colossal shrimp cocktail, followed by a fillet mignon. My favourite though is the Grand Mariner souffle, it's amazing.
Expensive but worth it.
I also love the bar experience too, and those steak sandwiches in happy hour with a "Mortini" or two makes for a great evening without being so expensive as eating in the restaurant.

The question here is, is your meal worth $600?

The question here is, is your meal worth $600?

Firstly, our steaks were decent, cooked to perfection but the ribeye my wife had was a tad too chewy. Also, the premium sauces are average, nothing to rave about.

Drinks are okay, service is good, but their lobster bisque was amazing. I d say that that s the star of the show. Velvety, smooth and decadent, which is exactly how I like my lobster bisque.

In all, it was an experience. But is it worth $600? I ll let you decide.

Inflexible manager. Despite order a significant amount of food and drinks to celebrate a friend's birthday, we were not allowed to celebrate for him with a small cake. The reason given was that they may be faulted if we were to get a stomach upset from the food. Sounds like a lousy excuse.
