db Bistro & Oyster Bar @ Marina Bay Sands Singapore Review

Best set of crew that I have met in Singapore for a long, long time. Very friendly, professional and they actually understood our urgency to have a meal (appetizer plus main course) within 25 minutes as we were going to see a show. Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and they are always there to serve us. Thank you guys!

Great place and not to deliriously expensive given the location. But this said, it's really not cheap. The Daniel bouloud burger is quite nice. But it's over $40... I find that a bit steep... but eating elsewhere at mbs is more expensive and less nice so definitely recommend eating there if at mbs

Terribly overpriced for mediocre sized dishes and food taste. Spent almost 300 dollars for three tiny salads , soup, and some crab cakes. What a WASTE!! Service was good though ;)

I was having great expectation for DB Bistro, as I love their restaurants in New York. But I was disappointed overall by the food.

We took the lobster and the Filet Mignon (with some Foie gras). The lobster was good, but while the beef of the Filet Mignon was very good, it was way over seasoned with a lot of peppercorn, which is a shame.

Some small details also, like the bread: we had to ask for it, and it was definitively not fresh bread.

For the dessert we had the Molten Lava cake and it was very good and the cookies and cream ice cream amazing.

Especially the shoe string fries is crispy outside fluffy inside.

I visited this place because the burger was highly rated. But I thought it was so so only, the strata type of burger, many other places do better. I recently had it again and it has disappointingly gotten worse. The bun was hard, almost like someone microwaved it. The patty was the same but it couldn't save the burger. Two stars because the burger has dropped in quality and the price hasn't. Not going back.

The food are delicious with top notch quality . The people serving there is good .
One thing I have to say is that quite hard to get their attention to get our order .

Personally I don t like dairy , and only eat seafood . I can t order anything in the menu that is seafood without butter . Ends up I just had seafood platter .

The portion is very decent .

Great drinks, oysters, bergers and more. My husband said this is one of his top five burgers ever! I highly recommend the ravioli. This place was a delightful. The music was also a plus.

Visited on Sunday around 1 plus we walked in . We ordered seafood platter petite , brunch set, lobster roll.

Highlight was the seafood platter , has 4 oysters, 3 big prawns, salmon , tuna tartare etc

Prawn was plump and juicy, lobster was succulent. Oyster was swimming in brine but when popped into my mouth , it was marvellous ... fresh and has taste of the ocean.

Tomato soup was nice but the dried tomatoes made it a bit too salty, but loved the touch of mozzarella ball.

This place is inside MBS,next to Mozza.Classy interiors which remind one of an upscale American restaurant one may see in TV shows.They also have a huge well designed bar and a big photo frame of Daniel Boulud looking down on you,slightly narcissistic .
Sommelier was great and offered some good wines.had the NY prime rib,their bistro special burger and the American burger.Beef was quite good and satisfting.Portions are large and one may need to take away if required unless very hungry.Nothing extraordinary,but a good place to satisfy your burger cravings.

Today 25rh Dec 2020 Christmas Day dinner with my wife, son and daughter. Early reservation at 5.45pm.

First time dining there was my Birthday treat from my wife May 2019
Service was good, love the steak Tartar Table Service
Main was the lobster and Fillet Mignon.Good as well.
Dessert Durian Souffle with Mangosteen Sorbet was really good.

Second time dining there, wanted my children to have a dining experience there.
Order taken was so direct (short and sweet) not even recommending or suggesting. Beverages was not asked (wine or cocktail) Not repeating our order as well.

Order taker should suggest if we want some other sides instead. But well I believe he abit too rush to have our order taken.
We have to ask for another server to take our beverage order- Cocktail - Side Car and a carafe of Lemonade for me and my daughter.
I can t remember the dish as pre starter that was served (that was really good) Did asked for second helping but unfortunately it was not served. Than came the basket of assorted bread it was good too. But never bother to ask for second helping.
Onion Soup was good too but unfortunately we have to asked for a soup spoon.
Steak Tartar was served but no Table Service well maybe is Festive occasion so no time to do. Quite disappointed as I wanted my children to experience the service (Table Service)
Escargot was good

Than came the main dishes but we have not finished the soup yet. I guess that you guys need to turn over the table and kitchen was Slam that was told but the staff.
The Original Burger was room temperature, the sauce served with the Fillet Mignon was wrong. We asked for bernaise sauce but was served peppercorn sauce.

The Chateaubriand for two was good but seared Foie Gras was abit not our taste, well maybe is us.
Than came the dessert with a complimentary ( Madeleine ) was good. Flat White and Latte was ok.

Throughout the dinner, we have to raise our hand for service a couple of times. You should know why ya!!!!

This really made me not sure if I wanna dine again!!!!

The food was only alright. What was not great was that we asked for the meat to be medium well, but it's more towards medium and medium rare. Ordered a baked Alaska which they couldn't get the fire on. Had to do it twice, resulting in too much alcohol.

Service was slow too, it was already after 2pm and we wanted to get the bill. Took too long considering the restaurant was no longer crowded.

$29 express lunch great value. Got 6 free oysters as part of MBS loyalty rewards!

An amazing French style restaurant at Marina Bay. Great attentive professional staff serving very tasty French food that is cooked to perfection - very hard to find a single fault here, you will enjoy it!

Coming here for burger was definitely a bad choice and overpriced. Not sure about other stuffs on the menu. You paid for good service and atmosphere that s about it. The burger was dry and nothing to rave about. Not to forget the saltiness level 10, which made us so thirsty afterward. No, you can t even bring your own cake for birthday celebrations. Probably the first and last time! Black Tap is way better!

everything overpriced. unimpressed by $45 db burger. would have been good as a $15 burger I guess. fries were meh. wine (tempranillo) was good but overpriced at $25/glass. gotta manage your expectations at MBS I guess.

One of the best oyster bar in Singapore. The ambiance is great also, it's not crowded and has good views. Happy oyster hour is great time to get half-off price, starting from from 3pm to 6pm on Monday to Friday except holiday. I just came here twice but will be coming here on next trip.

I had the db burger for the fourth time here. It s stuffed with pork short rib and foie gras. It s one of my favorites. It s served with very thin shoestring fried and dipping sauces.

I asked the bartender about drinks as they have always had a special drink. This time it was a barrel aged negroni royal and it was perfect.

Service was excellent if not a little too fast.

Standard of food varies everytime i visited. Tried the tasmanian trout, the first time it taste good, the second time the mushroom sauce provided with it tasted too salty that it numbed my taste buds. Baguette slices provided taste stale one time i visited. Standard of service provided by the service crew wasn't always up to expectation.

Probably the most memorable out of everything we ate were the oysters and caviar. If you're looking for flavor, it's definitely something you should try when coming here. The service was alright. Our waiter was pretty attentive but it did require us to follow up a few times to get some of our orders. It wasn't anything to get upset about since the food here was definitely worth it. Overall, I'd give the service 3 stars and 4 stars for the quality of the food.

This place is amazing. We order lobster roll, crab cake, hazelnut soup, and the escargot. Everything is a taste to perfection. They also serve you a pot of bread and butter on the side. As always tho, it's better if you reserve in advanced, unless you are okay with the bar seats.

Food was awesome. Especially within a country that serves mostly Fish heads and pho. Prices were high so only four stars.

Had the express lunch, two coffee for two person. Bill was $100++. Food was OK to say the least, not blown away, also it was abit salty. MBS needs to do a thorough review on food quality man.. Caesar Salad was OK, in good bite size and easy to eat. Mushroom soup was salty.

Really nice find. Food was great. Burger was very french... wet and dripping. Taz poke was really interesting. Lava cake was fresh made. John at the bar was super nice. Reasonable prices for Singapore in that location.

WONDERFUL service! I can t say enough good things about the service staff here. We came here for our anniversary dinner and honestly the staff made our night. The seafood platter was also incredible and fresh, but the friendly and attentive service truly made the difference. They went above and beyond to make a custom mocktail drink and even surprised us with desert. Highly, highly recommended.

Ribeye steak was a BOMB, one of the best in Singapore! Medium rare done so right I'm not a big fan of black pepper, but the generous amount of black pepper on top of the beef complemented the mouthful feeling so well, it's truly delicious!
Beef tartare was super yummy and fresh, too!
The olive oil that were given to us upon request, tasted really good and premium.
Service was professional, excellent and attentive! Cleaned our bread crumbs off before serving the next course, came and check on us time to time and took photo for us before we even asked for it.
The place and the team made our NYE night a really happy one, thank you!

Most probably the worst dinner I had in Singapore. The db burger was terrible and nowhere near the NY version.

Good place to chill before the show at MBS Theater, been here 3 times, food is of quality snd service is excellent.

Seafood platter is filling and tasty.

Prices are high, and for alcohol downright highway robbery.
But the food...so good!

Fresh seafood, practically taste the salt water. Never disappoints. Ordered a steak with Foie gras this visit & it was melting in my mouth.

I absolutely LOVE the desserts here and they aren't overpriced and are always amazing. Being a creature of habit, I always get the warm Madelines which are delicious, although there are many so I'm always extremely full after these.

I also tried out the ice creams ($5 per scoop) and tried the peanut and mango flavours (separate, not combined). The mango was refreshing and nice although nothing particularly special but the PEANUT is really the most delectable and nutty ice cream I've ever had. It's quite rich so only get it if you really like peanut butter but if you do, i 10/10 recommend. I'll definitely be back for this again!

The atmosphere was good and delicious.
Raw oysters are for sale, but I put up with it because it would be hard to hit overseas.

The 3 course brunch was a good deal. The food was rustic unpretentious and full of flavour. The wild mushroom soup was creamy and smooth. The signature db burger with foie gras was extremely satisfying. I thought db signature croque madame was a tad too salty for my liking but would be heavenly for those who enjoy sinking their teeth into a thick slab of wild parisian ham and oozy gruyere cheese sandwich. There are 3 desserts to choose from. The French toast and crepes were rather ordinary. Go for the molten chocolate cake. The sea salt caramel chocolate ice cream was the perfect pairing with warm molten cake. Delicious!

great ambiance and service. the food here is pricey but the portions and fresh ingredients used makes up for it. the DB burger with Foie Gras stuffed in the beef patty is worth a try. the cocktails are fantastic.

Exceptional service attitude, very pro , attentive and dedicated. I have rarely seen a restaurant manager so concern by the well being of his clients.
We had the Yankee burger, we love it, portion are generous. Ice cream is not to be missed. We did frequent this bistro several times, I recommend it without hesitation.

One of my favourites in Singapore!
I remember first eating here for my 18th birthday years ago and had a most memorable seafood platter with my grandparents and my best friend for a late lunch.

Years later, I am happy to note that the seafood lived up to my expectations, given that it has been a long time since I've last visited Singapore. I also had the great tuna tartare!

Second time here and the food was great. We came under MBS show and dine package. Service was amazing even though the restaurant was packed.

Great and friendly service! Between 4 of us, we ordered 2 Express Lunch Sets (great value at just 45++), and some additions including the Seafood Platter, Escargots, and Foie Gras. We were stuffed! Especially loved the Foie Gras which was melt-in-the-mouth and perfectly-seared.

We were also lucky to be the first ones on the leather sofa seats since the manager said they just changed the upholstery that morning :)

Great hospitable feeling. I sat at the bar for an early dinner and the staff took such care in serving me, when I ordered 3 appetisers off the 3 course set menu they charged me for the 2 course because I hadn't chosen a main course! Very fair I thought. My cocktail was balanced and they sent out a complimentary dessert to top off a wonderful experience.

The place was nice. But the hygiene was bad! I found a bug inside my steak! I would not recommend this restaurant. I would rather just go to the foodcourt!

They have a lunch menu until 5:30 so lunch is served strictly up until then... amazing dessert. The hazelnut ball was beautiful.

Oysters were small and limpy. 1-for1 oysters promotion seemed to be a gimmick. Half dozen for $40 and $75 for a dozen at normal price. We ordered 2 dozen but were charged $80 instead of $75. Ordered ala carte items but not allowed MBS rebates on those ala carte items. Other restaurants had allowed such discounts. Customer satisfaction not there, especially in such trying times. they could have simply split the bill also, which the waiter suggested but didn't follow through. Won't go back again.

Seafood platter is not bad but steak was miserable. S$98 New York strip is tasteless, worse than supermarket beef. They also put cheese on salad nicoise.

The burger and fries were really nice. Crispy potato didn't leave an impression. Oyster bar looks good but didn't have the cravings that day. Lobster roll was okay, nothing fantastic. Wine list looked good but beer was limited. Good that they have kid's menu. Service was good, though could be a bit more prompt - table and check took a bit of time.

Stumbled across this cozy restaurant by accident. Eat 2 people. Starter of onion soup. A poem. Simply outstanding and close to the French original.
Main course steak tartare. Lovingly and skillfully prepared and seasoned at the table. Anything but a matter of course.
Another main course burger. Meat, third and the 3 sauces are good.
Priced slightly above average. Also applies to the wine.

Nice decent place for a great dinner. Services were excellent. Food was nice and portions were good. Definitely a "must visit again". Oh... did i mentioned the oysters were fresh and delicious? Also, the fries were freshly prepared.

Came here on Christmas Day but we ended up going for the Alan Carte menu. I ordered the DB burger which came with foie gras stuffed in the middle of the patty. The portion was generous and the beef patty doneness was cooked perfectly. In my opinion the burger might have tasted better without the foie gras. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise, it was a good dining experience. Will come back to try the seafood platter next time.

Came here for our dinner before the musical and the food, drinks and service is excellent. The braised beef is so tender and juicy, the McGuigan Merlot is good and the service is the best. Highly recommended.

The interior decoration and design are very comfortable, and the service staff are also very kind. I ordered the burgers and drinks, and the taste is okay. Unfortunately, the salt is not evenly seasoned, and the salt is caked in a bite. French fries are just pop.

The soup a bit too salty. But all the rest are fine.

Great place for fresh seafood and excellently priced steaks. Good service. Nothing to fault really.
