Today, I went to Central Florida Chrysler Dodge Jeep (which is owned by Morgan Auto Group) to look at a 2015 Lexus GS350 with 29,000 miles on it. The internet sales price was $23,451. I called and confirmed the car was there and inquired about the dealer fee, which I was told it was $999.00. Ok, I thought no bid deal. I went to the dealership and spoke to a sales person. She was very nice. Had a little bit of wait due to the car was out for a test drive, no big deal. I finally test drove the car and liked it after owning the same year and model before. So I say I like the car and make an offer of $21,000 plus tax, tag and fees, knowing that they already have $999.00 of profit for the dealer fee. I am dealing with manager of the sales person. So I make my offer, $21,000 plus fees, taxes etc. Sign the form and off he goes. He comes back a little while later with a piece of paper. He then looks on the internet at NADA and prices the car. Mind you, they advertising the car at $23,451. He asks me the options the car has (because he did not know) and then shows me the dealer price break down and the car now is $29,700 plus. He then tells me they have $1,300 plus "reconditioning fee" that is on top of the $999.00 dealer fee. The car only had 29,000 miles on it. It was clean and new looking. It came from another Lexus dealer according to the Car Fax. I would have appreciated the manager being honest and tell me their was no way he could do it for the price I offered. But then to do the internet research thing (which I already did, both NADA and KBB) and then to see how much the car jumped in price, was outrageous. Here is the real numbers no BS. Sale price $23,451, add the 999.00 dealer fee, maybe $250.00 tag fee, maybe $200.00 e-filing fee, $10.00 tire and battery fee, Total with sales tax $26,504. The sales tax is on the entire amount and broken down with the first $5,000 at 6% and the balance of $19,910 at 6.5% (current county tax). So where did the extra $2,495 plus come in at? I have no idea. I had no trade, it was a straight car deal.

DO NOT BUY FROM ANY OF THERE DEALERSHIPS!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM ANY OF THERE DEALERSHIPS!!!
I bought a 2019 ram 1500 on Nov 6, 2020 it is now Jun 9, 2021 due to sloppy paperwork I still don't have registration or title on my truck. 8 months! Turns out they no only did the papers wrong but they also lost it all. After months of this and trying to just go with the flow I'm fed up. Please do yourself a favor and avoid them. There are so many other great dealerships.

I have been back to Rountree Ford in Lake City 3 times now in less than 2 months and still not fixed right! The last time I got a rental for a week and was told to pick up my van and they had not worked on the problem! The worst treatment ever by an auto repair shop!

The Morgan Show room is where the put on a show. Then when you have problems in the back you deal with sincere lack of cars and time wasting. Repeat attempts to fix your car you newly purchased defective. When the picture does not look right there is something wrong. I am warning you they bought all of Lake City, but one dealer and think they can treat us any kind of way. Look at there employee reviews too. Like 1.5 star. They take your money and run you off. Figure if anything you will buy from another location you don t know they own. Stay away, they are trying to do me dirty. Heads up!

They advertise on my credit union's site - but they don't take drafts?! I went into 1 of their dealerships with my draft from my credit union - and they said they don't take any drafts. What dealership doesn't take drafts???!!! Guess they don't wanna sell cars, just display them & rip people off!!!
