A terrific live music venue upstairs.
Well worth a look.

Ambiance cosy, friendly, my Roast Pork - Seniors- was generous, nice cheese cake desert. Staff friendly.

It is a little run down and in need of a refurb but offers good service from helpful staff.
Did not try the restaurant

Fantastic food. You wouldn't think so, being a hotel and all. But it was. I order the calamari entre which was huge. When my main came in I hardly had any space left. The calamari was perfectly cooked and super tender. For main I had the coliflower ravioli which was also delicious.
It also has some great see views on the terrace.

my family visited tonight for a meal and the food was SHOCKING. We used to come here all the time and the food was beautiful. All new staff too :( . The schnitzel was the size of my palm (my hands are tiny) and the vegetables still tasted partially frozen. Mum ordered calamari and the portion was tiny and it was 90% chips which were cold. The salad dressing wasn't nice either. Shame it's changed so so much in 6 months

Great for reasonably prices drinks and easy to get to.

Very average meal at Jacks, staff quite friendly and the atmosphere reminds me of an old RSL club!!
Don't think we'll bother going back.

Good pub, nice views from upstairs over the rooftops out to the bay. You can almost see Geelong from here. Staff were good.

Arranged a group booking and emailed thelunch order. It was served promptly at the time requested. The staff were very helpful efficient and friendly. Could not ask for better service.

Staff are quite judgmental as to how you look and how you dress. Because i went in there after work for a quick bet on the Tab looking scruffy and got looked at weirdly and spoken to like i was threat or trash.. then i went in again with my girlfriend for a drink and they were more polite and helpful....There needs to be a change to their attitude if you ask me

Can't comment on the food, I'm sure it has its attraction as a tab and pokie joint, but not my thing

Level 1 restaurant in a nice setting with bay views, bit overpriced but we shared Lamb kofta between us for lunch with a side order of fries, more than enough!

Not sure if I should put too much down as they insisted on collecting all my personal information before allowing me into a crappy suburb pokies joint that once was something and now a faded and angry member of its former self - a good reflection of most of the men at the bar drinking CUB beers.

I attended a private function upstairs I then went down to the public bar to see a friend I then went to go back and was told that I had had to much to drink but was allowed to go back to the public bar and also to spend my money at the pokies. Bad management and bad security as I had very little to drink

Quiet, intimate , " good ", cold beer friendly staff handy to railways and bus. Top bar meals and bistro excellent. Great place to meet and kill a couple of hours. No hesitation 5 stars

Enjoyed lunch on the rooftop recently and had a great afternoon with friends. Food was enjoyable and good value for money. Great place to relax with friends.

Enjoyed eating here recently at a family function. Really nice atmosphere and the food was great!

Was ok.A bit crowded and very loud.
But the meal in the resterant downstairs was very good.

Went here for a Christmas party.

The place was good, though the function space was a bit sparse. When it came to finger food, we were sitting outside, but made to go in to eat, and were forbidden to take food out.

We were told it was due to the fact they could be sued, if the food sat there went cold, someone ate it then they got sick.

Aside from that, was good.

Great venue to play. Cheap meals and drinks, free entertainment, live bands, no cover charge..

Friends have taken us here on a couple of occasions now, and we always have a nice meal, which is not overpriced. My wife usually has an entree size as the mains are too much. The staff are attentive and friendly, in fact my only complaint is dirty glasses, that were not properly inspected (lipstick). On both occasions the restaurant was busy, and we lingered on long after others left, but there was no push by the staff to move us out into another area. We tried the upstairs bar or gaming area yet. But will do so soon

Fairly dated now. Hasn't changed since I went here 6 years ago.

I have a feeling the owner is waiting for a developer or something to buy it as it hasn't had any care taken in this place and just feels tired.

Staff good, venue dilapidated. Plenty of better bars in mordialloc.

Went to the bar... another friend had just arrived(he was baby sitting!) So I went to the bar to buy him a 'short' to sip on while we enjoyed the mild evening and views and a drambuie on ice for me.. and a bottle of pinot grigio for our other friends inside with the band!
Barman (nice fellow and just doing his job I imagine) says... we don't sell shots after half 10... I said no this is for my friend to sip it is not a shot... (I was ordering a Johnny Black-a sipping scotch)
Barman: we don't do shots after half 10
I could put a mixer with it?
Me: No it is to sip... you don't put a mixer with Johnny Black.
Ok... so I can't have my Drambuie as well as it is "a shot"
Ok I say well can I have a Four Pines and a bottle of the Pinot Grigio then
Barman: sorry we don't serve bottles of wine after half 10....
Me: You guys need to use a barman's discretion and see that my age 50+ self and my age 50+ friends will not be slamming down Johnny Walker Black in the corner to screaming words of "Skull skull skull"
It is a sad reflection when you can't order a drink for yourself because some others may slam down cheap shots of whatever!!
And as for not being able to order a bottle... I can only see $$$ signs as a 4 glasses is more expensive to buy than a bottle!!!

Great place, but I think the pokies are broken, they keep taking my notes and not giving them back...

Upstairs balcony is the best kept secret in Melbourne. Always happy. Fri-Sun only is a drag so time your run....

Hit up stairs for bayviews. Standard pokies and tab pub. What u see is what u get with this one

Food and customer service standards has gone down from what it used to be.

Best pokies I have ever been to. Payout rates are clinical.
The attendant, although quiet and mysterious is a genuine great bloke who makes a fantastic 'lemon lime and bitters'.
I would highly recommend the 'Tiki Fire' pokies machine. 'Moon Race' is also held in high regard.
If you're lucky enough to visit on a Tuesday you better be ready for some features. 6 moons is all it takes for a ticket to featureville.

We had a our Son's 21st Birthday in the Stanton Room overlooking the bay, it was fantastic. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. I cannot thank Joel and Latoya for everything, nothing was too much right from when we arrived until we left. Mordy HQ are extremely privileged to have employees like yourselves. Thank you once again!

My cousin and I have taken to eating there every Tuesday on the rooftop. Views are magnificent, food is delicious and staff are fantastic and friendly. Katherine especially is a wonderful waitress who goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable and looked after. Friday nights again on the roof are also great with live music. After sampling all the restaurants between Seaford and Bentleigh along Nepean Hwy Mordy HQ has become our favorite spot.

Went there and was $20 for a bbq lunch. Was dismayed to find meat was raw inside. What really annoyed me was when i took it back to the chef he said it was the same as eating raw steak and there was nothing wrong with that. While walking back inside more people showed me their raw meals. An embarrassment for my suburb. Especially when the bar staff are so nice and welcoming

Great place but need to get their bar configuration sorted.

Great view of the ocean from top deck outside. Had fish n chips with salad and pot for $20, very nice meal and great outlook.

Stop the Mordialloc Sports Club inc destroying the club by putting apartments on the land with developers that are only interested in making there proferet. They do not have the interest of there club members.

Mordy HQ on a Sunday arvo is family to a lot of the club members and by the management's short sited Ness for a quick dollar will destroy the club.

Our first meal back at MordyHQ in a while and wow have they lifted their game. That was by far the best restaurant meal we have had in a long time. Generous, fresh, delicious and incredible value for money. I had the garlic basil barramundi with tomato and white bean sauce and I ordered mine on mash and veg. It was superb. We will be spreading the word and can t wait to back and try their other fabulous sounding dishes. Amazing staff too. Well done Mordy.

Delicious food, loved the singer in the bistro, great sound.

Decent place to grab a beer and have a bet. The upstairs deck is nice with a great view of the beach. Food isn t great.

Been there for two Wakes, great venue for meeting old friends, pity about the deluge. Hope you fixed door leak to beer garden

Gave birth to my son here. His first word was the roar of the wild cougar! Could describe this place as the happiest place on earth. Beware of tiki fire on Tuesday nights though, would steer clear at all costs.

As a gaming venue give this one a big miss. Most of the staff are very nice. However some need to stop over socializing and do their job. The machines are outrageously stingy. The decline in the number of patrons is VERY obvious.

Nice place upstairs for lunch or early dinner, lovely to watch the sun go down. Friday's and Sundays are fun too, always a great band playing

One of the best pubs in Melbourne back in the day with a great location it's still up there as the staff are friendly that are always welcoming to the locals and as well as the new comers

Good vibe and decent food but crazy prices. 4$ for a coke an 26 for a parma

Nice spot upstairs to see a band or hold a function/party.

It has been cleaned up & ,,,the decor is.much more pleasant.
