This has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet with the blue, blue lake and the mountains behind. Parking is a zoo. Be aware that it is continually changing with people coming and going and that you are going to have to wait for people in order to park. The Lodge itself is a nice stopping point.

First off I did not stay at the Lodge or eat there, I just came to visit and checked the place out. The main lodge building is rustic yet modern, where as the individual bungalows are more modern. The restaurant looked very nice with great veiws, with the prices on the food ranged from mid 30s to upper 40s. But most importantly is the setting, the lodge it's self sits on the shore of Moraine Lake, one of the most picturesque lakes in the Rockies. It is as surrounded by tall mmountains on almost every side. The veiws alone make this a wonderful place to visit.

I have seen 38 countries, this is easily one of the top 3 hotel I have stayed. Very well decorated, big window cabins on the edge of beautiful lake, fire place... Kayaking and guest parking are complimentary. Spectacular view !

A beautiful place to stay. Fantastic rooms with a view, open fire and very comfortable beds. My favourite place on our month's holiday in Canada! Guests get free canoes- a must do on the most beautiful of lakes.

Cozy, wonderful Lodge with fireplaces, quiet rooms, very helpful staff. The road in is beset with day tourists trying to park so assume it will take 15+ minutes longer to arrive than you think.

Simply put, this is THE BEST place I have ever stayed!
The cabin itself was just so beautiful and the welcome gift we received was outstanding (we were celebrating our honeymoon and boy did they spoil us). The views of the breathtaking Moraine Lake from the verandah is goosebumps worthy too. The staff on the entire property were so wonderful that is it hard to fault anything they did. Jazz, our hiking guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable, which we appreciated. We dined at the restaurant both nights and the quality of the food was exceptional with zero to fault + the local selection of wine made me happy. The only negative is on our part... we needed to have stayed more than two nights. The lake is just so beautiful and having 24/7 access to it from the luxury of your cabin is worth the price tag in itself. This is definitely my happy place and we will return in the near future (hopefully). Well played Moraine Lake Lodge, you truly made our stay so memorable. Thank-you!
PS, we booked the gourmet getaway package which included the king cabin, a three course meal both nights inclusive of tips and I could not recommend this enough. Exceptional value for money given the location, beauty and perfection of the whole experience.

You could not stay at a more elegant, beautiful and peaceful place. Period. The cabins are exquisite, with beautiful fireplaces in each one. The lodge library is incredible and relaxing space. There are no bad views on this entire property. But the most amazing part of this property are the staff members of the lodge. Nowhere are guests treated better, is more time taken, and is more love put into the guest service experience. There are incredible nearby hikes. Even an amazing biking trail. The canoes are a bit pricey, but are included if you re a guest of the lodge. Can not recommend a place more highly!

So far we are enjoying our stay at Moraine Lodge. Our room is fabulous, has wonderful views of the lake and mountains and is very clean. The staff are extremely efficient and willing to help. Breakfast was wonderful. The downside so far is the fact that the cafe closes so early, meaning if you are not eating in the restaurant you have to buy a snack from the cafe to eat later in your room, or eat very early before the cafe closes. There is nowhere else close by to eat. A lovely peaceful place as there are no TVs and there is no mobile phone signal, however the wifi is good.

The area is absolutely stunning! So many stunning things to view and take in. However, in the Summer, you can add people the list of all the things to see. It's worth braving the people though, because you'll have a hard time finding any place more beautiful in one eyeshot.

Incredibly crowded, which takes away from the absolute stunning scenery. Get here early to enjoy it as it should be. Canoe rentals are expensive, but offer a unique way to view the glaciers and this dream like surreal blue lake.

We had our wedding dinner here after getting married on the shore of Lake Louise, and everything was perfect! Nancy was helpful and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, and everyone was accomodating with the bride's nut allergy. Her tenderloin was the best steak she's ever eaten, and my bison ribeye was phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our little wedding party! We'll definitely be coming back next time we're in the area.

Staying here was by far the highlight of our trip. It goes without saying the accommodation and scenery is gorgeous, but the personal touches and attention paid to guests is spot on and unlike other premium hotels in the area.

You simply cannot beat the views that you get when you're engulfed by the Rocky mountains. While this is strictly a tourist trap ($$$), it is still a must go to for the experience. I may not stay at the lodge again, but I'll definitely be back to walk around the beautiful Moraine Lake!

Lake Moraine in Banff National Forest is one of most beautiful places I have been too. Down the road about 11 kilometers is Lake Louise another absolutely stunning lake with incredible views of the mountains and ice blue waters, however it is a bit overcrowded down there. Lake Moraine is a lot less crowded by tourist. Lake Moraine Lodge is also very low key compared to the big chalet at lake Louise. It is nestled in the woods right next to the lake so that it does not take away from the natural beauty surrounding it. However still giving you incredible views from your balcony. If you make it Lake Louise take the extra 15 minutes to head up the hill and see the majestic ten peaks at Lake Moraine. It is a must see.
