So this is my second time to Mom River Brewery. I came initially because of its haunted reputation. While the building is among Savannah's oldest, with a very interesting history, the beer is average in my opinion. They have a good selection but sadly, nothing really stands out as great.
Staff is very friendly & very attentive, something I appreciated.
Something I wish they would do is offer a better beer flight selection. Currently, they ONLY offer flights of all ten beers. In other words, you can't just do a flight of say, four or five beers like many other places do. This needs to be changed.
Moon River is worth a trip but don't set your expectations too high.

I ordered their beer sampler to try all the house beers. For $14 you get eight 4oz glasses. Not bad...except they were all warm. When I asked our waitress why the beer was warm she said because the glasses weren't chilled. Now I'm no beer expert by any means but I have tried many local breweries and never once have I been served warm beer. Also the waitress seemed annoyed and bothered by my questions and only visited our table maybe 3 times from start to finish. With that being said the food wasn't bad. The blackened chicken sandwich was good but the fries had an odd taste like they had been fried with possibly some kind of fish. I will say I don't think all the staff was as terrible as our waitress because I saw the bartender laughing and engaging with customers and another waiter at the table near us was always smiling and talking to his table as he brought refills and just checked in so maybe our waitress was having a bad night?!

Excellent. Moon River is always fun for friends and family. It is truly unique. Nothing else quite like it in Savannah. It is right on the street but somehow you escape that by stepping inside!

The Belgian Dubbel is fantastic and really demonstrates the Brewers attention to detail and tradition. The sours are tart and refreshing with good character. A perfect example of a proper porter. Everything was pleasant. Highly recommend.

Always a great time! Great beer made on site in one of the oldest buildings in town. Good food, good service. Can be really busy and have hour + wait on popular night.

Go at noon for lunch, take your dog, and enjoy the patio. The ribs were the best I ve had in years and the burger was cooked to perfection. Loved the Yoga Pants beer! Lily, our server, was an absolute delight and provided great service (including a water bowl for my pup)!

Can't give half a star, so 5 stars it is.

First the beer. We did the flight and got all 9 regulars they had. My favorite was the Porter as it was a perfect example of what a Porter should be. IPA was very good as was the dry Stout. Bottom of my list was the Belgian Wheat which tasted stale and the Lavender Lemon Swamp Fox which tasted like a bad candle in an old lady's house. I'm sure they're fine for others just not me or my spouse.

The food. Get the effing rice!!! Seriously it was amazing. I liked everything we had, but were it possible to take off a half star it would be for the ribs. They tasted great, but we're very dry, even dipping in sauce didn't help much. Still it was later in the day, so maybe it was just bad timing.

Anyhow, we all decided it's a place we'd go back to.

Wonderful outdoor space with friendly welcoming service. They were hosting a maker's market with local vendors. Drinks: I had a fresh to death (plum infused gin, lemon and basil) and a lemon lavender brew. Both were delicious.

Edit: reached out to John Pinkerton. Situation has now been handled immediately. He was very polite on the phone and helpful. I am appreciative of his time and effort here. Will be recommending them for beers and good times.

I left a cash tip and used my card for the bill. The charge was supposed to be 39 and change. I looked today and the charge has gone up to 46 and change. This is after the server confronted me about my tip asking me if there was anything wrong. I said it was a cash tip and he said oh okay. That's some shady business there. Extremely unhappy with that and as a local not a tourist you can bet I'll not be recommending.

I wasn't expecting anything but I had read the reviews and seen them on paranormal TV shows. Visiting from MN w my family, we popped in for quick bite and a drink on a Friday night. My niece said our server Anaya was her favorite server on our whole week trip. Anaya was a real gem. She went above and beyond telling us her stories in the building. She is a sweetheart. I loved being in the building and soaking up the vibes. I definitely felt something paranormal in the air even w the sun up at 6pm (loved the toast). The beer was good (I had their Yoga Pants). I just loved being there. We had awesome service and I highly recommend paying them a visit. It was the cherry on top of my visit to Savannah. Thank you for all of your hospitality!!
