Great stay! They provide you with comfortable clothing during your stay. (FYI The left pant leg seam is just big enough to fit a small shiv, or sack of weed) A gaurenteed 3 meals a day at no charge!! The rooms are amazing but could use a TV, microwave, and a shank sharpener. The showers are 5 stars if you are as flamboyant as I am. The library is to die for, just make sure you make friends with Leroy if you want the good picture books . Overall a great stay with friendly staff. I loved the cavity searches on my way in and on the way out!

Best hotel ever. They gave me a roof over my head, 3 meals a day and decent entertainment. It is so much better than living on the streets and its completely free! If your on a budget and you need somewhere to stay, this is the place. My only criticism is that they didn't let me leave when I wanted to. But otherwise highly recommended.

About Monroe Correctional

Monroe Correctional is a state-operated adult prison managed by the Washington State Department of Corrections. The facility is located in Monroe, Washington, and houses inmates who have been convicted of various crimes. The department's primary goal is to ensure public safety by providing secure and humane correctional facilities that promote offender accountability and successful reentry into society.

The Monroe Correctional facility has a capacity of over 2,500 inmates and employs more than 1,000 staff members. The staff includes correctional officers, medical professionals, counselors, teachers, and support personnel who work together to provide a safe environment for both inmates and staff.

The department offers various programs to help offenders successfully reintegrate into society after their release from prison. These programs include education and vocational training programs that help offenders acquire skills that can be used in the workforce upon their release. Additionally, the department provides substance abuse treatment programs that aim to reduce recidivism rates among offenders with addiction issues.

Monroe Correctional also has specialized units for managing high-risk offenders such as those with mental health issues or gang affiliations. These units provide intensive supervision and treatment services tailored to meet the unique needs of these individuals.

In addition to its primary mission of public safety through incarceration and rehabilitation services for adult offenders in Washington State prisons; Monroe Correctional also provides community supervision services for adult felons released from prison on parole or post-prison supervision (PPS). This service ensures that these individuals comply with court-ordered conditions while living in the community.

The department's commitment to public safety extends beyond its facilities' walls through partnerships with local law enforcement agencies across Washington State. These partnerships allow for coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies at all levels to prevent crime before it occurs while ensuring swift apprehension when necessary.

In conclusion, Monroe Correctional plays an essential role in maintaining public safety by providing secure correctional facilities that promote offender accountability while offering rehabilitation services aimed at reducing recidivism rates among offenders upon their release back into society. With its dedicated staff members' hard work and commitment towards achieving this goal; it continues to be one of the leading correctional institutions not only within Washington State but across America as well!
