Some of these people are the reason that mental health care system is in shambles they don't care they just see insurance dollar signs when you walk in

Given what I'm going through to end up here, a few rude comments or unpleasant sights is the least of my concern.

I honestly explained my position and what I wanted.
They provided me much of what I needed.
They provided me more than I thought possible.
They did their job.

Great place if you need mental health services or a job as a STNA . I am taking my recertification classes here. They are always helpful.

After getting out of psychiatric inpatient over a year ago, it took me many months to even be able to be referred to a psychiatrist. I had to have a family member argue with a supervisor to get the help that I needed. That psychiatrist took me off of the only med that has ever worked for me, so she could try different meds. I am now unmedicated, with no signs of anyone else medicating me. I've seen 2 other prescribers since then. Nobody will help me & I'm on my last straw mentally.

I've had a seperate psychiatrist tell me that my mental health would get better if I drank more water (without asking how much I already drink-note: it's a lot), and one tell me that NESTLE puts HUMAN FETUSES in their products to keep us craving them.

I've waited til closing time for walk-ins in the past and was told to come back the next day, I've waited for 3-4 hours to get into a SCHEDULED appointment (just to be told that she accidentally double booked and I'd have to reschedule and wait over a month to see her again).

I've been referred to a DBT group here and have been referred multiple times, even having to have my caseworker and my therapist send angry emails to the DBT director to put me on the list so I can attend group. It's been over a year now with no sign of them letting me in the group. There are no special requirements for the group besides being referred. The group director just won't put me on the list, even though I so DESPERATELY need this help.

Also, being transgender, there are workers who KNOW ME that refer to me as the wrong gender/name unapologetically.

When I had another case here when I was 13, I was scared to take pills by myself & be in charge of dosing, so they took that as insubordination or something and DROPPED MY CASE.

I am so desperate for help & this is the only "help" I have access to. Poor care like this is what leads to higher suicide rates. I have questioned if some of these people even have proper credentials. IF YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE ELSE, DON'T COME HERE.

A positive: my CURRENT therapist seems like she actually cares & was prepared for this job. I appreciate her.

Seriously unprofessional. Complete mess. Rude doctors, terrible wait times, etc., etc... It's a shame some of the nice people there are overlooked because of just how poor the service is at MCCMH.

Terrible service! Was told it would be about 1-2 hours, waited 3 hours and then gave up! Plus they didn't explain that we wouldn't even see a doctor that day, when I realized that, we left.

Called and was trying to get information and the lady seemed like if I was a bother to her to were I told her "nevermind, it doesn't even seem like you wanna help people" and i said thank you and hung up. This just happen now to were I'm upset to were I'm writing this right now. I think people that answer the phone in that field should be nothing but helpful and nice. I'm deff not ever stepping foot into that place because she was so rude on the phone and it doesn't feel welcoming at all.

I would give them zero stars but i had to put something in order to make this post.the case manager virgina is rude, she act as though you are bothering her when this is her job she picked is career no one made you If i was to behave like that i would be fired. Your whole attitude needs a serious adjustment. One of your jobs is to answer questions. Your tone and wording lets me know this not the career for you. What makes it even worse is you give other compassionate and caring case workers a very bad name.

Very rude works and they are not on your side when they apposite to be on your side in court they manipulate you and lie

CMH was there when I needed them, with a smiling face and kind words

My daughter has been waiting 18 months for a housing placement. We were told four months.

The process is very slow seeing a doctor when you are really sick this is very irritating. Feel like I'm about to die waiting to see a doctor!!
