Fantastic cigar factory in Granada, highly recommend going and rolling your own cigar!
We went to both cigar factories Dona Elba and Mombacho and while Dona Elba is a traditional family business you can see that Mombacho has specialized in high end cigars and this also includes their tour.
The guide Brian did a wonderful job explaining in great English the past of the business and the way tobacco is grown and used for cigars and how you can tell differences.
He took us through the wonderful mansion where the factory is located and my boyfriend and I also rolled our own cigar with the help of the local staff who were super helpful!
Every detail in their production process is ensuring everything is perfect which is great to witness.
I highly recommend going!!

What a great time we had visiting the Mombacho family in Granada. We not only smoked some great cigars but also made some life long friends. The tour was very informative and gave us a true view of the work and passion that into a truly hand made cigar. Cam, Claudio and the people that work with them were the best, wish I could have stayed longer.

This is a great little cigar factory in a good location. They offer basic tours and learn to roll your own tours. They have a nice selection of sticks for sale. Its also a plus that they speak english because my spanish is basic and limited. I look forward to enjoying the sticks later :)

I found the manufacture super beautiful and the tour was super interesting. The manager took us and explained everything. There you can see the women preparing the cigars by hand. The house where it is located is super beautiful and you can spend the day there, enjoy the pool and enjoy a good Nicaraguan cigar. The location is great.

Nice people beautiful restored mansion. I missed the tour but qwent into the production room to watch hand made cigars of course I bought 1 even though I dont smoke them. Very interesting go.

I just visited the Casa Favilli factory last week. It was a wonderful experience. Master blender Claudio Sgroi and the employees at the factory were fantastic. I was able to try all of the Mombacho cigar blends including the new Patina Connecticut and Habano cigars that were just released and were both excellent. I love their cigars!

The quality of its cigars, the kindness in customer service and the variety of products is excellent.

Only $12 for the full tour per person. This includes a tour and detailed description of the grounds and the cigar making process. You then roll your own cigar from scratch which you get to take home and actually smoke (if good enough). Views from rooftop terrace are beautiful. Everyone was really friendly inside and you get to see the beautiful marble staircase (1 of 3 in Granada by a famous architect). Well worth it for a half day and very cheap.

Whether you're interested in cigars, or not, the Casa Favilli building is gorgeous. You can stop by and browse their humidor, or take a guided tour of this amazing building.

Great place to visit and tour! When we went for a tour all of their guides happen to be on vacation, but Brian was very kind and offered us a quick tour to hit the basics of the cigar rolling process and the architecture of the building (we are architecture students). The cigar storage room was really fun to see because they store A LOT of cigars or various sizes and types there. Finally, the rooftop view was absolutely amazing. You are able to see in a full 360 degrees around Granada, and I would highly recommend touring this place as your first stop in Granada. Brian was very knowledgable and pointed out things that we wouldn't have noticed. There is a row of cathedrals that run through the city and we would have enjoyed visiting all of them if we had the time. Very very cool place, and offers great cigars as well.

The cigar factory is very wonderful and the young man who was selling there is very cool in explaining this place is one of the best destinations in the world for cigar lovers

Claudio is truly a master, with the mind and spirit of an atelier. It was a gift to experience his passion and joy of cigar making and smoking. With him, Mombacho has a very bright future. The property is beautiful and the cigars were fantastic. Just like their sign says, a "best kept secret."

Went for the tour but was we were pleasantly surprised at the complexity of the process and the engaging staff and pleasant guide. Even bought some cigars and I don't smoke. The factory is a beautiful 1926 mansion. Well worth the $5 tour

Attended the 2018 mombacho cigar party. My wife and I had a great experience. Claudio and his staff were amazing. I highly recommend a visit to Mombacho Cigars if you travel to Nicaragua.

A step not to work around.

Very informative, a great way to spend an hour or so with possible to best view over the city. The $10 tour gets you through the whole cigar making process and a chance to make your own. Well worth it, and we don't even smoke!

Great place to learn first steps about how to make cigars while also preparing your first own cigar.
Bryan the tour guide was super nice! His english is really good. He explained everything about Mombacho cigars, the building and factory process.
It takes some time if you want to roll your own cigar but it s well integrated in the tour. E.g. while the cigars need to be pressed for 20min you continue the tour. The entire tour takes about 90min.

$10 per person for a tour of the entire cigar rolling process, the experience of rolling your own cigar and taking the cigar home as a souvenir! You can t beat that!

The Mombacho Cigar organization has worked extremely hard for their good name and certification and it shows. They truly care about the customer and making the perfect cigar. Their attention to detail, and their customer service is unmatched!

Our tour guide Brian was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the organization. We truly enjoyed his company, and his insight during our experience at Mombacho! There wasn t a question that we asked that he couldn t answer!

Walking around Granada we saw many organizations that would allow you to roll your own cigar, but they do not offer a tour, OR have one of the highest cigar rankings in Nicaragua!

If you are in the Masaya / Granada area, and even if you re not a smoker (like myself), we HIGHLY recommend this tour!

One of the best things to do if you re in Granada. It s $5 for a tour and an additional $5 to make your own cigar, both of which are great value. Our guide Brian was excellent, very knowledgeable, was able to answer all of our questions and his passion for it really shone through. Definitely recommend

This place is fantastic. You should definitely stop if you are into cigars. The girl that was working helped explain their two blends to me (she spoke English which was great because my Spanish is terrible). The cigars come in single sticks, 12ct and 20ct boxes. They roll them in house in the room next to the humidor /lounge area. They are about $6.50 per stick. I smoked four of them and they were delicious, and the construction was good no burn issues no relights.

We took a tour of the Mombacho Cigar Factory and got to see how they make hand-made cigars. Very interesting and informative tour. After the tour we bought some cigars and had a Mombacho Moment. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. I would love to go back!

I met the Director of Operation Claudio Sgroi this week. Supper nice guy and the cigars are a great smoke. Highly recommend a Mombacho Moment!
