Delicious food with a beautiful view of the Hudson River and New York City. An excellent place to enjoy a meal alone or with friends, or a romantic dining experience with a certain special someone. There is also a walking path along the river to take advantage of to further enjoy the view of the river anger the city. Valet parking is also available.
Overpriced , slow service , very small portion never again .
Great seafood great service easy free valet parking view of NYC incredible
The view was amazing but don't go here for the food or service, it's poor. Bland, tiny portions, expensive, basic.
Always love Molos! Fantastic NYC skyline views and amazing food!
Like the place with NYC view and very good service. I will came back again.
The ambiance and decor are impeccable. However the attention by staff and cuisine could use some sprusing up.
It's close to impossible to get the wait staffs attention. The wait staff all seem to walk blind to the customers and never look at the tables as they are running around doing their "tasks".
Second time dining here and first time the seafood had an awful char that made the food taste burnt n smokey. Lobster should not have a smoked char taste. This is quite evident in the various pictures posted online. Char is great if over done it impacts the flavor.
My second attempt at molos was for a brunch. The poached eggs had to be returned as they were practically hard boiled. Eggs Benedict are supposed to be runny. Their all you can drink brunch is tricky since the wait staff doesnt pay attention and therefore ignore to check in if we needed a refill.
Both times there I noticed a lack of attention and the cuisine needs some improvement. Great place for a drink and awesome views.
Excellent service. Appetizers were good - octopus tender and delicious, for example. Lighter dishes and wine is this place s sweet spot.
The mains were super disappointing. Sole was overcooked and bland. Lobster pasta was flat, no spice, uninspired. Both dishes completely disappointing, even offensive given the price.
The service was a little slow for a late Sunday afternoon, but the food was great. I did the lobster feast on a Sunday, and the food was good. I really enjoyed the sorbet at the end. My absolute favorite was the bougatsa. It was amazing!!
The view is amazing, but the shrimp cocktail was awful and the table lost appetite, and the main dishes was average. I cannot give higher score with regard to the price. But again, the view/location is outstanding.
The atmosphere of the view of the New York City skyline was excellent!!! This service however was not that great. The food tease good, presentation excellent, just need to brush up on the service.
We love everything about this place, their food and the atmosphere and settings is beautiful in the winter and even in the summer where you can take pictures out on the deck with a view of the city.
THE setting and especially the view of the bay are fabulous, the service is fast and the cuisine very well mastered.
It's a bit expensive overall and there could be more on the plates as we are used to in the states but frankly the meal was very good.
Traditional Greek style fare with a killer waterfront view of the Manhattan skyline. I enjoyed the Bronzino and the hearty lemon chicken soup. The lunch special is a deliciously good value. Excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Good service and an opened, welcoming atmosphere round out this
Greek gem.
The view from the restaurant was so beautiful.
Servers so kind and food amazing.
Great attention and very polite!
A little overpriced but will satisfy your cravings for sure!
I loved loved loved the gelato!!
Amazing!
Bad restaurant in every aspects. The food was nasty, no communication between staff, the chef doesn't accommodate with the customer. The waiter was clueless about things. I waited for 1 hrs 30 before I got called and to top it off, food was expensive. The only thing about this place is the view. That's it.
This is our go to place when we are celebrating something important or achieving a life goal. We even went here for New Years Eve for two years in a row. The food is second to none around that area, breathtaking view, and friendly staff. The only thing I can knock is that parking can be a bit of a hassle unless you valet.
If you're looking for a great view of the city and amazing food this is a place to be
Excellent food and a good view of New York. Very friendly staff. Good deal
I live right down the street from Molos, so ive gone several times for both brunch and dinner. On Saturday myself and a girlfriend made reservations for brunch at 11:15 am. We arrived and we were the only party in the restaurant, however it did take about 15 minutes for us to get our first round a of cocktails. We had the watermelon blasts, delicious! I ordered an omelette and my friend had the Greek salad, the food came relatively quickly and was tasty. We then ordered a bottle of presseco and juice as bottomless is no longer a option.
Everything was fine until the end of the meal, at about 1:30 pm the restaurant became packed and clearly the wait staff was underwhelmed. We had finished everything and 45 min later our server had not come back once. We had to get up and walk to the hostess to ask for our bill. As a token of apology they offered to take off our first round of cocktails. However after they had taken our credit cards and swiped them we realized they had charged us for the entire bill? Long story short we went back and forth with the manager for 15 min trying to explain the situation and we really just wanted to pay and leave.
We finally got the bill resolved and the manager did give each of us another glass of presseco, however the entire experience kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.
My wife and I welcomed three guests to New Jersey at this restaurant. Four out of our party of five posed symptoms of food poisoning hours after meal. I was the only lucky one because I don't like seafood. The staff here is generally inattentive and quite unhappy to serve customers. Perhaps management should consider paying them better or restaff the restaurant.
My friend had a very unpleasant experience finding something undesired in his Greek coffee... Go someplace else if you are looking for a tasty brunch. Prices are the regular expensive but even though the view is nice food was rather disappointing, tasteless and not particularly good. Service was effective but not much pleasant as well. I had a Croque Madame and French Toast and both were worst than the ones you could get in a cheap dinner... pretty lame.
Great choice for Greek food with a killer view of Manhattan. Also, the food is surprisingly affordable compared to other higher end locations throughout NYC. My favourite items were the Greek salad, the soup and the spreads (especially the spreads!)
This restaurant was amazing. You walk in and get greeted by everyone. As you walk to your table you have an amazing view of the city we went at night time and view was amazing. They have a fresh seafood display of what you'll be having for dinner So cool I've never seen that before. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food your buying. The waiter was so amazing. So attentive and on his game. He took pictures for us and went way out if his way. I believe his name was Shelton, thank you so much for making our anniversary night out so wonderful.
Celebrating a friend s bday...Nice place, loved the view, but the worst customer service starting from the waiter to the Sommelier to the Manager and the General manager, waited exactly 1 hour 30 minutes for 3 main course out of 5 and the other 2 came 15 minutes later. Food was good!
Good food and nice view!! Only one worker tried to sell us a bottle of wine, after several minutes trying hard, I said we only drink one glass wine,... that was not so nice. Just accept what guest tell you and wish for!
Fun place, great views of NYC. Be ready for lots of children. Food pretty good
Excellent view, well prepared dishes and friendly attention.
Great location, fabulous service, friendly staff and very delicious food. Highly recommended
Amazing views of Manhattan. Food didn't meet my expectations. The lobster was flavorless and sides we're mediocre.
Horrible service took over an hour to just get the main dish...
I really enjoyed this place, will definitely visit again!
WOW! Where do I start? Four of us ate there last night for my mom's birthday. We waited about 45 mins for our 7:45pm table reservation. It took them another at least 20mins to come to our table. When they did come, they didn't even ask for drinks, went straight to dinner orders. When they did ask for drinks, that took forever to come. My mom ordered a fish dish which we were assured would come with zero bones. Of course when it came, it arrived with plenty of bones. They took it back, brought it back, still had bones lol. Our side dish came out 30mins after the dinner. My mom asked if they had gluten free bread since she is gluten free. The servers looked at her as if they never heard the term gluten free. It was a progressive decline in service from the start!!! When a manager did come over, and we explained our dissatisfaction, he actually laughed and acted like the service was fine. He fake apologized and it was so very demeaning. The most pompous "manager" I've ever experienced. Non-accommodating and non-caring. Horrible embarrassing service, food was just ok, portions were very small. Will never return. You pay a premium for food/service and for the view, however there are PLENTY of other local restaurants who will put this place out eventually if that kind of service continues.
Sensational restaurant and spectacular views you won't get anywhere else :-)
everything was delicious, good quality. service was ok, dishes were a bit too small for the price.
The waiters that bring out the food to the table need retraining.
The view of New York York city's skyline out the windows of this lovely restaurant simply took my breath away! It was something you'd see on a postcard...And the food and service was amazing!
The views of the Hudson are great. The wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. The sea bass melts in your mouth. Spinach and Greek fries were great. I'd pass on the honey walnut cake but the fig gelato was delicious. Prawns are huge and tasty. Molten chocolate cake is superb as is the shrimp starter with feta. I took off a star because for the 2nd time, they were out of something - this time lobster, last time clams.
Excellent service from staff specially from somelier julio paris
Came here on a week night, not crowded but still have a good restaurant atmosphere. Food was amazing, get the grill Branzino. Appetizers were amazing as well. Love the calamari, super fresh and tasty.
Great food! Would of given a 4 if they didn t make us wait...
Food is good but its an extremely loud place. It's an open eatery space. There is no privacy, no romance. You will not be able to relax at all. You can't even talk. Considering their price of food it did not meet our expectations at all. We will not come back or recommend to anyone.
Went to this restaurant for my anniversary and it was spectacular from the service, the view and the food. Everything was exceptional. I had the salmon and it was great! I lived being able to sit outside and eat and enjoy the view. Definitely recommend.
Gorgeous view of Nyc , relaxing ambiance and yummy food.
Molos, was a pleasant surprise for me. I visited for lunch on a Sunday and I was happy to find a restaurant that was not a chain.
I ordered the Gyro Plate with Salad and it was a humongous plate of deliciousness. The greens were fresh and crispy. The combination of lean lamb and beef meat was succulent and moist.
The service was friendly and prompt. The food also came out quickly. The portion to price ratio was very high. I don't think a "lunch portion" exists here, so most people will have leftovers (not a bad thing).
Overall, I think Molos serves up quality Mediterranean that's on par (if not better) than the Aladdin's and Sinbad's in Rochester. I'll be back for sure!
The worst place ever. We're very disappointed. We went there for birthday dinner and they ruined our night. Do you think people are foolish and can't realized that the food is horrible. We ordered cut handed fries and they were frozen. I asked the waitress are these hand cutted fries and she told me yes . We ordered filet mignon and shrimp rizoto. Never in my life had happened to try a food and not to eat. It was horrible. We couldn't eat. We asked the waitres for the check. She asked me do you want ta take it to go. It was ridisculous. We had made a reservation for birthday dinner. We tried only a bite, and she asked if we wanted to take it to go. I said to her the food is horrible we can't eat. Oo I'm sorry and that's eat. Oh I forgot a glass of wine $16 it was like lemonde. They removed the risoto from the bill and we paid $130 and left. We went home hungry. I'm really pissed of how they ruined our night. I think the only reason people go there is only the view and nothing else.
We celebrated the Chinese New Year in this place, with great manhattan view and super beautiful fireworks on the Hudson River.
Amazing view to the city and excellent greek food!! Definitely we are coming back!! Great place!!
We went for our anniversary dinner, they seated us at a window as requested. our server, Zila, was fabulous! The food was delicious! We had the crab cake appetizer, scallops with squid ink risotto, salmon and baklava dessert. It was a great experience! Highly recommend!
Beautiful location exelent food and service.
Highly recommend first date family dinner anniversary must go
I went to this place for my anniversary with my husband because it was highly recommended by a friend and apparently he doesnt have good taste because this place wasnt all that like he said , i was expecting more but it felt more like an overpriced joes crab shack .. the rose ice cream is nasty dont buy it unless you like the taste of rose pedals LITERALLY ; overall three stars for the nice view
Great service, fresh seafood. A good experience on the waterfront.
Some of the dishes was typical, there were his and misses. The best fish of the night was octopus - succulent and delicious. The fish would have been great if it wasn't charred. Fish was a bit charred but they compensated with scrumptious dessert! The view was incredible and a great service and dining experience overall.
The shrimp biggest known and I would recommend the grilled red snapper for 2 awesome
Service has declined. Appearance of food has become poor.
Tomatoes in the salad were mushed instead of cut neatly, and they absolutely kill the fish when they filet.
Not worth it for their pricing or even 50% less.
Used to enjoy this place. Hopevrhe6 shape up for others, my family will not be back.
Being there twice, and in both times had great experience. Very good food, tasty deserts, great place for birthdays.
Great place for new years eve party. Stunning views.
Great and cozy place with an amazing view to the water and city. The food is amazing
I never write reviews but felt like I had to for this one. The food was so delicious. The lobster was amazing. I don't like vegetables but even the vegetables I enjoyed. The restaurant is beautiful and the view of NY is amazing. It is definitely a great place to go on a date. It is a little on the pricier side but totally worth every penny. I can't wait to go back.
A restaurant with a wonderful view of Manhattan, especially the night view. All fresh seafood is delicious. It's fun to go to see it before ordering because it's lined up on the ice-covered table in the store. Meat lovers also have steak.
From my experience i was here for brunch. I didnt like the place they put on the table burned bread, also i asked if they have fresh Orange Juice and i was told "no"; i still order the OJ and it was true it not fresh orange juice. The food was below average nothing special. Here you pay for the view not for the food. Avocado toast with eggs $18.
I dont recommend this place
Awesome view of the city. Pretty good Greek/American menu. I wish that their outdoor patio had some covering from the sun though. When we were there for lunch the patio was all in direct sunlight with no umbrellas or other shade, which made it unusable for us and most others. So we had to eat inside despite the great weather. The views are still really nice from inside though. There is a valet service for parking ($7).
This view is everything. Beyond the basic purpose of restaurants to provide food and drink, restaurants have, historically, fulfilled a human need for connection and shaped social relations. In 21st century American life restaurants occupy an increasingly important place in shaping our overall economy and the nature and makeup of our cities.
Place looks great but the food is not the best also the bartender cannot make a long island ice tea to save thier lives will not be going back.
