Amazing wine experience with some of the friendliest staff. The small fee for the tasting is definitely worth it as you are treated to an informative description of the region and each of their wines, as well as a take home branded glass. Amazing scenery complimented the tasting. Looking forward to coming back in the summer months.

Yesterday we enjoyed a great couple of hours at this welcoming, unique winery.
Staff are professional and relaxed; food is yummy; wine is delicious; views are fabulous. And oh yes, the gifting of the wine glasses, in quirky packaging.
Do visit, you won t regret it.
We ll certainly be back.

Wonderful venue and the wines were up there with the best of our McLaren Vale weekend. Tasting notes were explained well by the lady conducting our tasting but I was offended by another staff member who tended to us doubling up on wines we had already tasted. She directed all her attention to my wife in which I felt excluded and see this as poor customer service.

Definitely worth a visit here, not your average wine tasting! We were looked after by a lovely man named June who was so formative, passionate and genuinely really nice! A small fee was no issue and totally worth it, plenty of wine to try and we got to keep our glass too! All round a great visit. Will absolutely come again!

I dont normally go to places that charge for wine tasting, but this place it wort it. For $10 per person, not only are they very generous with their tastings but you get to keep the monogrammed wineglass at the end.
The wines are reasonably priced, most around $30 with a few at $55 and then $80. All the staff were inviting and seemed to love working there.
In the end we bought 4 bottles and were there for almost an hour tasting.
Well worth it if you are heading to McLaren vale looking to test some wines . The wine labels and story of the winery is worth a visit alone.

We had a fabulous time! We did the flight of wines tasting. The staff were so friendly and explained each of the wines comprehensively. There was a large group when we arrived but a no point did we feel forgotten about. We purchased some wine to enjoy at home, including a bottle of the second best wine in the world! Yum!

Awesome little vineyard! You really can't visit Maclaren Vale without a stop in at the Mollydooker cellar door. Very interesting wines, friendly staff and a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Eight of us visited Mollydookers last weekend . We had a group booking and we were given a table to ourselves and a young gentleman named June looked after us for the afternoon. He was very informative and interesting to listen to and clearly had a passion for wine and the industry, even on a global scale. We paid $15 tasting fee per person, but given that we had a professional and dedicated staff member who was a delight to listen to and that we also received a free glass to take home, we considered it to be good value. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I love this place. Never had a bad wine from Mollydooker. If I could afford it I would drink it every day of my life. Carnival of Love is one of Australia s great reds closely followed by Blue Eyed Boy.

Visited with a group of 9 for an impromptu tasting and was accommodated warmly. June helped us with wine tastings and blew us away! His knowledge, personality, and demeanour had us captivated through the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend for a friend.

Lush green surroundings, beautiful views, fine wine, and tasty cheese and meats. Put this on your list and give yourself an hour or two to truly enjoy this winery. They give you this glass as a favor for visiting.

Idle, relaxing environment. Paired with a great selection of wines. The tasting experience is well worth the small fee. Beautiful vista all round to pamper your eyes while vibrant wines tickle your taste buds.

This place is a must do stop over on your wine grazing of SA. Bold. Punchy. Sensational. The staff are very helpful and friendly, Annika in particular was superb.
Cheese board are delicious! 100% book ahead as the restrictions are still in place. The tasting menu is a kind $10 for 7 samples! Phenomenal panorama. Can't stop speaking it's praises

*Review edited after a positive call from Alex in the Mollydooker team, who kindly resolved the issues that I had experienced. I am grateful to them for reaching out to me as I really do like their wines.*

Dear Mollydooker team,

I wouldn t usually complain but wanted to provide some hopefully constructive feedback after a recent visit to the winery left a slightly sour taste in hindsight.

I was very excited to finally be able to visit the winery in person with my wife and 2 friends, as I ve held Mollydooker as my favourite winery since first tasting the boxer Shiraz over 10 years ago in New Zealand. On arrival I enquired about my Molly club member status as I had a notification earlier in the year that although I hadn t signed up for automatic deliveries, having spent over a certain amount qualified me for automatic membership and my account has the members discount applied. I was told at the time that they couldn t find me in the system. Undeterred, all four of us paid for our premium tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do love the wine! Afterwards I again mentioned that I do have members discount associated with my account and asked if this would at least be applied to what we ordered on the day, to which I was initially told no, but after checking with a supervisor it was discovered that I was on the molly club list, and the 20% discount was then applied to the bottle of gigglepot that I bought for that night. What has upset me in hindsight is that after confirming I was in fact a member that should have qualified for a free tasting for myself and up to 3 guests (as far as I understand), there was no offer of refunding the tasting fee that we had all paid or of applying it to our purchases. My friends that were with me also made a few purchases but my member discount was not applied to these. Had I known that that was taking place I would have bought them myself. Sadly it is the little things like this, being helpful and proactive, that made the visit to other wineries in the area so much more enjoyable, where we were rewarded for making the effort to visit rather than simply being treated like a commercial transaction.
I also tried to reach out to the team privately but received no response.

A disappointing experience in the end.

We loved our afternoon at Mollydooker! We got a free glass with the tasting, our server Shea was lovely and we spent a few hours on the lawn with a bottle of wine and delicious cheese board. Highly recommend Mollydooker for a lovely afternoon out.

First I need all reading this to know that I love their wine so much, that the winery could have been an out-house, with a milk crate for a chair and a guy called Ken spit polishing one wine glass to be shared by all.... and I'd still come here hahahahahahaha.

Luckily however, it isnt.

With sprawling views and an acre of grass to sling a blanket, Mollydooker winery is pretty damn awesome.

Grab a bottle or two, build a platter and spend some time staring off into the distance.

Beautiful scenery with a nice relaxing atmosphere, great wine tasting options, a good selection of cheeses and other nibbles too! A special thanks to Hugh as he provided our group of 4 with excellent customer service. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to the next visit!

Absolutely gorgeous wines. If you get a chance to do a tour, you will not regret it. Amazing insights into why their products are so highly regarded in South Australia and around the world.

A lovely spot with gorgeous views overlooking the Cube. The wine tasting experience was quite different than more traditional cellar doors and the wines were absolutely sensational. I loved that you purchased a wine glass for tasting and got to keep it too. Excellent marketing by Mollydooker! Enjoyed the whole experience - would love to come back there for a platter and sit outside enjoying the view.

Not just my favourite wine, but a great business relationship that has become a friendship. Regardless of the Mollydooker wine that you drink you will taste the passion that goes into making it.
If you haven't visited the cellar door then its a must for your next McLaren Vale trip, great views of the area. The tours are worth planning your trip around and take your appreciate of the wine and the people who make it to the next level. Highly Recommend !

I'd give no stars if I could. The service while cheery was scripted, the wine was bland and over priced. This place is essentially Disney Land for wineries, a fake and outrageously overpriced tourist trap that should be avoided.

They didn t have any sparkling available to taste or buy, which was the purpose of our trip there. Limited whites. The cheese platter we had ordered had two slabs of cheese (generous portions!) and biscuits but nothing else - no quince paste, honey, grapes, apricots, pears, apples etc which would have helped the plain/dry taste.

Came here on Valentine s Day with a group for a tasting and we had a great experience! Wine was perfect, venue was beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. We wished we stayed here all day day! (Being able to take home the tasting glass was very nice as well) Thanks guys!

Beautiful wine, location and produce platters. Service was excellent, a few small mix ups with orders and staff were quick to offer us a complimentary bottle of wine! Great spot for groups - we felt nothing but relaxed and welcome.

Really great wines and the ladies there are so lovely. Special mention to Hannah who was a burst of sunshine on what was a rainy day. She's very knowledgeable about the wines, the winemaking process and is very friendly and funny!!
