It's 8:20 am on a Thursday morning and they still have not opened their doors so I can get a correctional violation signed off. I work night and only get a few hours to run errands while places are SUPPOSED to be open.
My husband and I have been stranded in a parking lot for days.
When 3 officers came by to investigate an incident, two walked over to ask what we had witnessed. One of the officers asked how it happened that we became stranded. We told him the truth of how not through our own fault, we had lost our rental, and how recently, my husband's pension cheque had been mangled by Walmart's check reader, and how they refused to make their mistake right.
We needed the money to repair our car. We would now have to wait for his unemployment cheque which was days away.My husband is disabled with severe scoliosis, and I have multiple sclerosis and lupus, with heart and kidney failure.
This officer left, and returned to give us a gift card for groceries.
We will never forget the compassion and kindness this man showed us. He didn't judge, but instead followed the teaching of Christ, whether he was a Christian or not.
God bless him, and our men and women in blue who risk their lives daily to keep us safe.

Your department is a joke. You guys like to believe your brave but in reality you re all scared. You sign up for a job knowing full well what it requires but freak out when someone throws a book at you.
My wallet was handed in to the Police station after I lost it. 2 police officers came to my home to let me know I can claim it at the police station. All the officers I dealt with was friendly and courtious. Our police do an amazing job every day. Thank you to all the members of the Modesto police department.
Called the emergency number 911 and there Modesto police department. They hopeless god bless America I was told someone is going to call but nothing happened. Or may we been Indian not white. They don't respond
Later a police officer called that we will note things n told that they have threatened that they will to we my car. And my car was parked on the right address by the road side but not there car.
was beat by several cops and all I did was walk out my front door. they were trying to serve a warrant that was for the wrong person, sex , address, side of town... I'm a very passive person with arthritis. they claim I wasn't getting down on the ground, I escaped them 2 to 3 times, I was going after them. not only hitting a couple times with their clubs, but that wasn't good enough. so they picked me back up and began to beat me some more. this was after shoving into the fence first. after that was done they made me lay down pushing my face roughly into the concrete. they later dared to ask why was crying and rocking back and forth? was I on drugs?couldn't be I just experienced something very traumatic and mentally affecting the victim, as well as psychologically confussing, upseting, embarrassing and completely wrong. of course the got in no trouble what so ever....
This place is no good to get help i was in need to locate my missing relatives and they didn't know what to do or say i was better off looking in the darkweb 3 days at pd and nothing and 30 min at darkweb and i found everything i needed to know
Every time I have called the they are very short and rude. No phone etiquette at all. Why do people like this work for our police department's. That's stuff doesn't fly at my place of work. You've got to give respect before you get it. Have a good day
I called in twice for a noise complaint by the third time I was told (we are not doing anonymous calls ordered by the sergeant) so I decided to leave my name and number and the dispatcher replied with ( the sergeant will give you a call back to see what the problem is and necessary to go.) I am furious that this is occurring. Don't we pay taxes for these people to help us?!? Worst service ever. DO NOT EVEN WAIST YOUR TIME CALLING THEM.
