A very pretty salon with flower walls. Friendly and attentive staff who make sure you have everything that you need. I love my cut and colour which was much needed after lockdown! They also have a massage chair set up for when they wash your hair which is super relaxing.
It was my first time at this salon. To be honest I usually dread going to a hairdresser, but I really enjoyed it today. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed. Lyr did an excellent job of cutting my hair and it was the first time I ve left a hairdressers so pleased and not wanting to rush home and make it look better. I would definitely return and recommend. Thank you!
Love my visits to Miyu, and can't wait to return post-lockdown (owner Lyr has been doing an excellent job in making sure the salon is covid-safe and clients are kept up to date).
And Lyr certainly saved me on my very first visit/intro appt - my friend was having her hair styled for her wedding day, and as a bridesmaid so was I... I'd been hiding from her/trying to grow out an awful cut (supposed graduated bob) I'd had elsewhere, but it still wasn't right - Lyr managed to not only make it right but also styled it brilliantly - was delighted with the result (and so relieved re the wedding pics)! Now a regular client (only place I'll go/trust).
He's since transformed my hair again, after recommending chem straightening - had tried Brazilian blow drying several times before/elsewhere, but hadn't managed to totally tame/de-frizz - this did! I no longer have to wash, blow-dry, style/straighten each day - has taken at least 30mins off my daily routine... #genius and is so shiny - have had so many compliments :)
And if that's not recommendation enough, the salon itself deserves the boutique title - is gorg! I love the look and the products and the treatments and especially the head massage/massage chairs while washing - is such a treat! And all the salon girls are lovely. I highly recommend

came in with a 1.5 years of lockdown roots, they completely transformed my hair. They were so lovely and welcoming, and stayed until 9pm to finish my hair. can be scary finding a new hairdresser to trust with your hair but honestly couldn't recommend enough!

Lyr worked his magic on my lockdown locks and I ve never been happier. Before I found miyu, I was an extremely anxious client due to a number of awful experiences with wonky cuts/hair stuck in hair dryer and bleach down my clothes. Lyr has not only helped ease my anxiety but I trust him 100% to always tell me his opinion and advise on what is best for my hair type. I ve never been disappointed. Even now I live 25+ miles away, Its worth travelling the distance for the quality.
When visiting the salon, you will have a personalised experience, Lyr takes an actual interest and doesn t just make small talk, and the massage chairs are great! Would highly recommend.
Visited this salon for the first time as I am new in the area. Both ladies greeted me with a warm welcome and I felt very well looked after throughout the whole process. You can tell that Lyr has a lot of expertise and talent, he did an excellent job with the highlights of my very fine hair, which is not an easy task. I love the colour and how it blends. Very happy with the whole experience and result - thank you very much!
