We went to a show called "The Sun Serpent" a few months ago as part of a Spanish field trip, and it was incredibly well done! They do a wonderful job with not only the acting but the entire experience! Completely recommended!

The mixed blood theatre is doing some great plays. I saw Colosal which is a very dramatic love story of a football player and a snap decision that changed his life. Very well written and produced. This is a good small theatre that is completely assessable to all walks of life, whether you can't hear or are short on money.

Went here to watch a Spanish play, "Corazon Eterno". Play was excellent and was in two languages. Theater was a little tight but we made do. There were subtitles in Spanish and English for those who only knew one of the other languages. Actors were very professional.

I love Mixed Blood! They are a solid theater in the Twin Cities and now home to Blackout Improv. Easily one of the most funny comedy troupes in the Cities. If you haven't checked them out yet, you must put it on your list. $10 on the third Monday of each month. It's very good fun!

The Mixed Blood Theatre is a fantastic, intimate theatre that is utilized for the MN Fringe Festival and original theatrical performances of local and national companies. Quality performances should be expected from this Twin Cities gem.
Enjoy your future experiences!

Mixed Blood is great! The performance space is big enough to fit plenty of audience members with the stage, but small enough that the performances are very intimate. I enjoyed the show a lot, and the selection of concessions in the lobby was pretty good as well. I had a great conversation with the folks at the planned parenthood booth at the showing as well. All of the Mixed Blood staff were very welcoming.

I am consistently impressed by every performance I see here. Also, the work Jack is doing to make theater accessible (both by choosing shows that call for a diverse cast and via his program of radical hospitality) is truly a game changer. Mixed Blood is a theater to pay attention to, and others in the community should follow their lead.

Saw the play HAIR performed by a cast all over 50 years of age. A very intimate place to see a performance not a bad seat in the house. Parking can be a bit challenging, but this is a classic theater that has been around for many decades. If you have never been, this is a Minneapolis bucket list item!

This theatre is wonderful. The space, the location, the shows are all great. Their radical hospitality program makes the space inviting in a way that pay-what-you-can-nights never will. They also offer a great membership for younger adults, and events and discussions alongside their shows.

Interstate is a beautiful, thought provoking show that explores queer asian identity and nuances of toxic masculinity. Very intimate show seating (~100 seats). Beautiful singing and performance that felt affirming in many ways.

Very interesting place. Great sight lines. Great sound. The parking is a bit tough. Many great restaurants in the area. A classic building. Saw HAIR there a few weeks ago. Most cast members were over 55! A great place. You will enjoy the place if you have never been. Go early to get a good parking place.

Love it. Great space to see amazing theatre. General seating, so come early if you like a particular spot to sit and watch, since there are no assigned seats. And big ups to the facilities for having gender inclusive bathrooms

My wife had read a review in the StarTrib of "The Song of Summer" at Mixed Blood theater. My wife was enthused, and I trusted her, but had no expectations.
It was a comedy by Lauren Yee, and was laugh-out-loud funny, well done, by good group of actors, and had a good story-line.
We've been there before, but it had been a while. The staff, besides the cast are so enthusiast about local theater. We'll be back sooner.

Saw Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime and it was soooo good! I especially loved how they used dim lighting and subdued sounds to be mindful of people who are affected by loud sounds and flashing lights. It's great to see a place center the people who the art focuses on (in this case those with autism)

One of the best entertainment experiences I've had. The ticket pricing options are great and provide a wonderful opportunity for low income patrons to enjoy live theater. The inclusiveness of this theater seems unparalleled. Multiple ASL interpreters and supertitles above the stage were provided for the hearing-impaired. They also had audio description services for those who have visual impairments and free transportation options as well. The people at Mixed Blood make a concentrated effort to have productions, cast and crew that represent a wide variety of folks, be it age, race, income, orientation, gender, etc. Beside all these great things, the production itself (How to Use a Knife by Will Snider) was a fantastic show that left my partner and I with all sorts of discussion on our way home. I can't wait to go back again for the next production this season.
