Hubby forgot donuts on counter. He did not want to go back & get them, I'm having trouble walking this morning. Called, explained what happened & asked for credit for next time as I figured they'd just put them back on display & resell. Guy started stammering when I asked for credit. Said hubby could come back & get donuts. Explained again hubby didn't want to go back & asked again for credit for next visit. Guy still stammered & told me they didn't really do that. Feel this is very poor customer service on their part.

They have the best maple longjohns and donut holes!

This place has great doughnuts. There is a doughnut for everyone! But get there early as they are popular and run out fast.

It would not be exaggerating to state that Mr. Donut is a pillar of the Alton/Godfrey community. I don't even want to imagine a world without donuts. ;-)

Family-owned and operated. Really excellent and delicious. They are all extremely friendly.

We always enjoy going there every Sunday Morning before church.

Always a good choice. Definitely get there early, they sell out fast! Only complaint, wish they stayed open later and kept better stocked- they're too popular for their own good!

Got a chance to speak with the owner, I'm very pleased to see he takes pride in his Craftsmanship. Few people now a days do that. When I'm back in town I'll be sure to drop by again! Keep it up guys!

They had a good selection but the customer service was lacking.

Great freshly made fried donuts. Better than Krispy Kreme, dunking donuts could never dreamed of tasting this good. The owner is nice, loves his customers and treads the employees well. The employees are nice polite and efficient. The coffee is amazing, make sure you get a punchanged card if you are going to be a regular. This place gives you a classic donut shop neighborhood hang out feel. Old guys are hanging out at the counter talking about the news every morning. Make sure you arrive early for the best selection. If you come late in the day the donuts are discounted.

Took me back to my childhood, there used to be one in my hometown but this is the only one left in the US now.

Once a dominant North American chain, this is the last location and you can see why it remains. Good food, good prices, friendly employees. Hot options and great coffee as well as expected donut favorites. I only wish they still had buttermilk bars!

Amazing shop. Great ownership, staff, and customers! The B&G is the best in town.

This use to be my family's favorite place for donuts in the area until Covid-19. The employees including the owner are not wearing masks and customers are sitting indoors during orders for outdoor dining only. I've seen this MULTIPLE times now in the past few weeks and am super disappointed. Makes me wonder what other health regulations may be disregarded.

We love Mister Doughnut. The staff is always friendly even when there is a long line.
The doughnuts are always good, if you go too late in the morning they will sometimes be out or low of the popular doughnuts.
I have never gotten anything but doughnuts but do offer biscuits and gravy and a breakfast sandwich.

Tasty! All the varieties we tried were nice, but we especially enjoyed the glazed donut holes. Hard to stop eating them. Yum, yum, yum.

You absolutely can not get a better cup of coffee anywhere else. This is where my friends meet for coffee but we always get donuts. They smell and taste soooo good.

I spent 3 years living in Northern Japan with the US Air Force, so I was super excited to see a Japanese favorite right here in Godfrey! I just went in this morning to get some donuts and was disappointed to see so many people not wearing masks inside, especially a male employee. Wearing his green mask on his chin, not covering his nose or mouth, does not count as wearing a mask. It s good to know that the global pandemic is a joke to these people.

I grew up on these donuts! To me, this is what donuts are supposed to be. Gimme their chocolate long johns and donut holes and I'm a happy guy.

It's the go to spot in the morning when I have my grandkids. Kid friendly.
