Mission rock recently bought out our apartment complex. This used to be a great area that i would recommend to anyone but now that mission rock is in charge i would urge to stay away. They barley fix maintenance problems for as cheap as they possibly can and they wont help their residents in any way. They also raised the rent prices so much that its now ridiculous to try and rent here. I would hate to see what they have done with any of their other complexes.

These people are slum lords. I like in their 865 Bellevue Property and have lived here 5 weeks and put in 20 work orders. Everything from leaking ceiling to mold, to sinks that don't drain and an A/C that stopped working.
I pay $1610 a month to deal with non stop never ending maintenance issues. This place is a nightmare. Their maintenance staff either do not know how to fix issues or are not empowered to do so. Either way the residents pay the price. And they continue to take our rent every month and refuse to reimburse move in costs. This property management company clearly does not know what they are doing. And whoever hired them is just as responsible.
Have notified leasing office several times at Lakeside Casitas appartment community about tenant next door drinking and being loud from 12 midnight to 5 am. Still doing the same thing. Had to move bed into my living room. Will be requesting my rental lease contract be terminated.
Worked there for 3 days. Hahaha 3 days. The first day I was there I had the pleasure of meeting the HR employees who sat next to me who used the f word, n word, and c word...and that was just within the first fifteen minutes of me arriving on a Monday morning. The culture here seemed to be lacking any and all morality, but thankfully I was given a second job offer for a different company that first day too. I cannot speak on how the business runs, but just seeing that first impression I cannot imagine it's anything to write home to mom about.
I live at Salado Springs (Their property). Great apartment complex, horrible management. We have had service calls not get done after 3 weeks to several months and only were done after management was reminded. They charge monthly fees for pest control yet hardly ever treat the units, and we have had a roach problem the entire time we have lived here. They charge a monthly pet rent for what seems like no reason at all. Dog park is in horrible condition and the plastic doggy bags are always out. Pet deposit is among the highest I have ever seen and is non-refundable so obviously the pet rent is excessive. I probably wouldn't have as much of a problem paying the pet rent if I knew I was getting quality service each month in regards to maintenance. In addition to the monthly "Pet rent," they charge an extremely excessive service fee of $25 for simply walking to your door and posting a notice on it. It has become fairly obvious to me that this management company will gouge its residents for anything it can, with the minimum amount of work it takes to run a property.
When i first came into the lobby, destiny welcomed me in with great energy which made me feel really welcomed. She then took me and my wife around the complex to show us the view which was was unbelievable. My wife completely fell in love with the dog park. This was was just a really great experience to finally have someone to welcome us in. I will recommend to lease with Destiny she brings in new tendants with open arms and the greatest customer service.
Very disappointing experience. I've been here two years, and my rent has gone up $120 a year since I moved in. I called to complain about the recent rent increase ($60), and when I told them they are pricing me out of my home, she said she "understands, but can't do anything about it", which is the same thing as "I know, and I just don't care" in my eyes. I asked for a call back from Meredith - the VP of the company - but apparently she's too busy to have a conversation with me, because it's been a week now, and no call back. I hope she finds some time soon, because I'd really like to discuss the man that moved in recently who keeps peeing outside where we can all see him... This complex is falling apart, and while they recognize it's falling apart, NOTHING is being done to fix it ("The stucco on the side of the building is falling off the building because of a bad paint job that was done well before you moved in" is what I was told by an employee of Mission Rock...that's over 2 years now that it's been falling apart, and they haven't yet done anything about it.) The "onsite staff" they boast about under the "amenities" section of the apartment website are only here a few days a week -- the manager is only here about 11-12 days a month, and the maintenance guy is here 5 - 7 days a month, because they have them split between this complex and another. They also have this RIDICULOUS 60 days notice to move out clause (meaning, we have to give a 60 day notice to move out), stating that "other apartment complexes in the area are going to 60 days notices" so that's why they decided to do it here. The only other complex not run by Mission Rock that I could find that had this policy, also has terrible reviews online. I don't think you should be modeling your business after other failing businesses...but that's just my opinion.
I have worked for this company since the start and can confidently say, Mission Rock continues to grow, improve, and do what is right for its employees. I highly recommend this company.
In today's world how can you be running a reputable company when you don't return calls? Only scamming companies conduct themselves like this business.
The front office staff put on a nice face, but our year there proved it was just a facade. There are so many unbelievable issues, I'm not even sure where to start. You should know that the apartment was a disaster at move in, and they said they would fix the issues but never did. I even had to ask multiple times to get them to come fix the water leaking ceiling. They actually stated they were too busy doing "preventive maintenance" (i.e. changing furnace filters) to come deal with it and said without every seeing it that we should "use a bucket" to catch the water, which was streaming from multiple spots on the ceiling all over the place by the time they came. At move in, all the cabinets were chipping apart, the closet door fell off the second I moved it, there was dust and dirt and dried food all over cabinets and on the kitchen floor. There was a large, orange, textured stain on the carpet that had the consistency of wax, and the carpet was fraying and coming up in several places. I kind of figured it would be substandard since it was affordable housing, but the living experience was horrible. There were multiple floods from the ceiling throughout the building that were so bad the fire department had to deal with it several times, and the fire alarms in the whole building went off at least once every week or two, in the middle of the night, sometimes for as long as an hour or so. Many of the people that lived there can only be described as delinquent. They would get drunk and stampede down the hall way at 4 in the morning, throwing half-eaten food onto the floor all over the hallway. To top it all off, their shady mgmt tried to say the old, stained fraying carpet was brand new when I moved in, even though the leasing agent stated it was used when I complained about the carpet on day 1. They only said they were sorry and there was nothing thye could do, but since I had already moved in, I was stuck with it. Now, they are trying to charge me to replace the entire carpet!!! I even showed them pictures of how awful the carpet was at move in. I recommend you don't even waste your time viewing the place, as the model looks nice, and they do a good job selling it, so they can trick you into thinking they care. Don't be fooled. They don't. If you move in, expect a similar experience. Oh yeah, also they will sell you on the hot tub and say it is "temporarily closed," but that is another lie. It was closed the whole time I lived there, and I get the impression it was ordered closed by the city for not meeting regulations.
I have been wrestling to get an invoice paid from the property manger, corporate office, and accounts payable with no luck! All my emails have been blocked and no return phone calls. Stay away from this management company.
Don t interview with this company they have managers and regional managers that will mislead you to thinking you ll get the job and they don t hire you. My personal experience was misleading and I m well qualified but they don t care. They just want to waist your time. Bad Management Company! Don t ever apply! Please don t bother replying back because I want read it!
Absolutely the most chaotic work and rental experience anyone could imagine. As a former employee and resident... It is all about the money, not people, not work/life balance and not about creating a nice place for anyone to call home. This company has way too much to learn for me to suggest giving it some time, unless you have time to wait for this ship to sink.
Horrible customer service. I lived in one of their apartment communities in Cypress, Texas and had so many problems. We got bed bugs from the complex and they would not help compound the problem so we moved. I have since tried to contact corporate(Mission Rock) multiple times and they will not return my calls. I would NEVER do busy with them again as they do NOT care about their residents. the great thing about this is this company bought out the old leasing company and stated they were going to "make a difference", but they cant even return one simple call. You have been warned!!!!!!
Mission Rock took over the management of my complex The Argyle at willow springs and suffice it to say their corporate constituent Cindy has ZERO people skills, management skills or cognition of the deficiencies her company Mission Rock is providing to our complex. Paying top dollar for amenities that have been defunct since May with no timeline on when the hot tub is going to be working is unacceptable. I would have rented for 25% less a month in rent due to the amenities that the Argyle HAD when being managed under Haven Property Management. Terrible property management-do not rent from a complex under these people.
Ryan came into the apartment and found the leak in the wall with minimal effort. He was very fast acting as well as professional. Finally after renting for the past 8 years this is by far the best maintenance crew I've seen in a while. Thank you for all your hard work!
Horrible management company focused on rapid growth and no training. The employees are not allowed any liberty to take care of their tenants. The contractors working on our property said this is the worst company they've dealt with ever. We apologized for our landlords incompetence
Horrible experience at The Knolls at Sweetgrass. They doubled my rent for month to month. Unfortunately i had to stay there one more month while the house i was moving into was being prepared. They did this to guarantee nobody gets their deposit back. Then i was charged over $2000 for a full carpet replacement. The bad experience goes on....But they have a 1.4 star rating at Mission Rock Residential, and a 2.4 at The Knolls, so i doubt they care about reviews. Never the less i guess i have to put in a small claim to check the legality of their month to month rent. I also encourage everybody to put out the work on google reviews, yelp, Facebook and everywhere else about this horrible company
I will never lease from this management company again. They just took over Bella Springs a few months ago and we will end June with no pool available to residents. This does not seem to be of concern to them that residents pay for an amenity that will not be in use 35% of the season. They do not give notice of work. They power washed my balcony with furniture and bicycle on it. At 830 p.m. I had strangers on my balcony replacing a piece of wood. I called the office to point out no notice was given and two days later receive a notice that began "As you are already aware, the work on your building has begun." One of the woman in the office possesses no customer service skills. Do not rent from them if you don't want to be irritated every other day.
Current tenant at Tribeca STL. Trash chutes are always full because they can t get a company to pick it up. As a result, people leave their trash in the hallways and it stinks and leads to pest issues. Complain to management, but nothing is ever done. Management doesn t care enough to own and resolve the problem. Property is horribly mismanaged.
I am not only a resident of a mission rock residential property I am also employed by mission rock residential at another property and I am proud to say this is a great company. They are very professional and courteous and genuinely honest caring compassionate people as a whole. As a resident and employee I see both sides equally and I have no complaints either way. I m very grateful and thankful and proud to call home a mission e Rock residential property and to be employed by them
I am astonished at all the negative reviews! I have been in this business over 15 years and I have never worked for a company with more morals and kindness! I have been with Mission Rock almost 4 years now and plan to retire from here! Great company, great people!
lived here for almost 3 yrs in a 1 bedroom when i needed more space they were awesome and got me taken care of quickly our new management has it handled well
I lived almost 2 years at Rock Creek Commons. It was ok until I had to leave. When my first year was over the management forgot get me into a contract so lived 6 months without any. Reason I was supposed to notify. So I was expected to perform manager s duties :) Signed second contract and had to move halfway through it and Amanda can't keep her office straight. One person says that the lease can't be taken over, another says it can and they will advertise my unit. I was charged 2 month rent as early termination fee. I had a deal with Amanda to pay only that but when I called the corporate office Amanda got mad and charged me another full month rent and a bunch of maintenance fees and the deal was off. Lesson: whenever you deal with this place, ask for everything WRITTEN. Amanda's dont keep her word. Oh and working with corporate office is worse. Regional manager, Amber Craven never returned any of my calls or emails. Guess the only way to communicate to her is via BBB compliant. Left message for Amber's boss Kay Hutchins same thing. When I call corporate, secretary says I have been contacted. All they do is mark in system as contacted but never do. I haven't seen any calls. Oh and in the meantime I was working, trying to work, with corporate Amanda sent me to collections. Apartments are ok, but worst management I had ever dealt with.
I live in Las Vegas at Whispering Palms. This used to be a nice place with one set of office people. Now since the new owner, we are working on our third set of office people. When you call, no one answer or the message line is full. If you call with a complaint about how all the gates were not working 6:30am Monday morning when you are trying to get to work, and when you reach someone on the alternate line at 3:00pm, Carla, the office manager rudely said "They're working now", and then I was dismissed.
No one ever heard from me before this new management. I NEVER had a complaint. Now I'm calling or visiting the office a couple of times a week with a complaint. Why?
I am a good tenant that pays their rent before time and has never been late in over 2-1/2 years. After this lease is over I will not renew. I loved it here before and was always treated respectfully, things worked and the office staff cared about us. Now, I am treated like being a good tenant with a good payment history does not matter.
I don't like being spoken in a condescending manner and then DISMISSED!
I have been a tenant at this location since Jan 2012. I am a disabled veteran and rented 2 separte apartments during this time frame. Today while at the VA hospital straight talk(which is a prepaid phone) deactivated my phone without notice. They usually send me a text indicating That Service will expire in 3-5 days then I can reload but failed to do so this time. So I could not call to renew my phone service. I returned home from the VA hospital and went to the office at my apartment. I walked in to the office and said I need some help and explained the situation. The lady at the desk dialed the toll free number which I gave her which was one of many lines on the phones. I began a very tedious process with the guy on the phone who seemed to not understand how to reactivate my phone. Christine Castillo, I think she is an asistant manager but I am not sure of her title came out of the office and said" you are going to have to wrap it up Mark this is not a public phone". She could have easily heard my difficulty if she cared about being helpful or wanted to be of assisstance but she just added onto what was an extremely dificult day and situation. My lease exxpires 9/15/2017 so I am told. I gave my 60 day written notice and I am moving out as soon as my lease expires. This is not the first such incident of the management company acting as if they were Gestoppo.(spelling may be wrong) and I jsut don't want to put up with them anymore. I love the apartments but would not recomend them to anyone unless you like being treated like a dog just when you need a little help. Once before I had to report them to the Arizona Attorney general in order to get treated fairly and repectfully. after complaining to the attorney general they quickly reversed their actions. Not all of them are like this but they have ruined the living experience in spite of those who treat the tenants respectfully and fairly. Sincerely, Mark S. McMeans P.S. the only reason I clicked even one star was because they would not let me post my review without clicking on a star.
They just sold the apartment complex that I live in. Gave us zero notice. Went online to pay rent the website was gone and the property was no longer listed on mission rock s website. Went into the office and there is an entire new staff from another company. Glad that the mission rock people are gone. Terrible customer service. Also have some of the same complaints regarding doggy bags. Mission rock is a garbage company.
I have worked for Mission Rock for several years, and I love how much this company cares about it's residents and team members. As a manager, I feel I am fully supported and able to make choices for my property and my team. It is unusual to find a management company who truly values what is happening at the property level, and I am so proud to say that Mission Rock does!
Through the pandemic, Mission Rock has worked to provide the safest environment possible for it's employees and residents, while working with multiple ownership groups to find a solution that helps impacted parties as much as possible. Together, Mission Rock was able to secure PPE and put policies in place quickly to keep us all working and providing for our residents.
I can't say enough good things about this company, and I am so proud to be a part of their vision!
Not even deserving of the minimum one star. The apartment was garbage, but that is not why I am writing this review. Upon move out I was issued a final bill. The bill was marked for may 7th, but I did not receive it until around the 15th. I paid the bill in person with a money order for which the office staff signed for on the 22nd. Less than two weeks later I get a call from a collections agency trying to collect payment for this bill. I then tried to go back in to the apartments office to find out what happened to the money order I had given to them, and come to find out that the apartments had changed ownership the day after I paid. The new management had no record of the money order. So I disputed the bill with the collections agency and called Mission Rock multiple times to try to get this resolved, even emailing them with copies of the money order receipt for the exact amount signed by their office employee. I never heard back from them. About 4 months go by and I just yesterday got a call from another collections agency trying to collect the same bill! Now I am right back where I started trying to get his useless company to do the right thing and pull the bill from collections. They are criminals, and if the bill wasn't for such a small amount I would most likely be pursuing legal action against them.
If I could leave negative stars I would this is a horrible place to rent and live noone should rent here at quail Village or especially clover basin. The worst staff ever at clover basin
Worst company. Don't even try to get employment with this company. The poor HR department will overlook anyones claims. Won't even listen to sexual harrassment claims, hostile work environment and extreme favoritism. Look the other way if your serious about a career.
The apartment Fountains at Steeplechase which is managed by Mountain Rock Residential denied an application based on their faulty online application process to which it SAID APPROVED. The apartment manager Melissa has inconsistent policies...makes me wonder if it's to keep "certain people out of her community" Their corporate office, Mission Rock Residential never responded to emails or calls. PLEASE STAY AWAY...we are a church trying to PAY for families affected by COVID to live rent free but this company doesn't want to help its community...
I tried to contact upper management at Mission Rock after the awful experiences we had living in a hazardous environment at Copperstone Apartments in Everett, WA, but nobody responded. This company doesn t seem to care about customer service at all.
This was my first apartment to live in and since day one we had issues. Not being able to move in on the correct time to being charged $150.00 dollars in property damage because of a satellite dish. We came in with the awful smell of a smoke stained apartment, along with being told to move from a disability parking spot when my handicapped brother when over. We have yet to have any positive outcome from this lease. I would not recommend them. No care or respect for their residents. Absolute nightmare this far.
This place has been absolutely horrible turned a home into a corporate place where I can t sleep where they take away my parking where they restrict amenity spaces and treat us like children. Took over without notice and when unhappy with company would not let us move on without exhoribitant fees so essentially kept hostage in own home. Disgusted with where I live under mission rock. Absolutely hate this company
Their lease terms are ridiculous so we decided not to sign the lease. We went with a different apartment then received a $170 bill for moving out fees when we never even moved in. Super scammy
These are slumlords. They take advantage of their tenants and provide poor service. They tow tenants' guests cars without notice. Looking for a good meth den, this might be your place. Looking for a home or simply a clean place to stay, you are in the wrong place!
10 AC maintenance requests in 30 days and still no authorization to replace the unit. Rent went up over $100, but the service sure hasn't. They just keep charging the unit every 3 or 4 days. What does it take to do things right? Never live in a Mission Rock managed apartment complex. I wish we had just gone ahead and moved when the rent went up. The people here at the complex can only replace a unit when it's approved. So why isn't 10 requests and having to charge the system every 3 or 4 days over a period of 30 days enough to replace it? Because the corporation won't authorize it. But I bet if their AC was crappy and old in their offices, they'd have that fixed right away, don't you think? And lets not talk about the fact that the less than cold air doesn't cool very quickly, so the unit runs nearly non-stop. Our electric bill is going to be so high. I think we will send a bill to Mission Rock corporate for the difference between last year this time and this year.
Another update: STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! We provided proof of renter's insurance in June. We were charged for insurance in July. No credit has been given even though Whitney has promised it several times. PLEASE GIVE US CREDIT!! ONE MORE REASON FOR DISSATISFACTION!!
4 managers in 2 years with decreasing care for the tenants and property. The staff used to care about the property to an extent, but they now walk by garbage and leave it, including the increasing amount of dog feces. Tenants receive no notices about any changes, or if there will be any. Cannot wait to move out! Current management won't even speak to tenants.
They rented out some of the worst apartments in Arizona. The hot water would always go out for days and they wouldn't take responsibility for it. They wouldn't even believe you until hundreds of people called the next morning complaining the hot water went out. I would give them 0 stars if I could. A week would pass by and guess what? The hot water would go out again, this went on for months and they didn't know how to fix it or were too cheap to replace the boiler. The property manager was a total joke, she would pretend like nothing was wrong. Can't believe they hire people like that. Stay away from their rentals....
Hot tub has been broken for 4 months, along with the gates to the area- anyone can enter including children. Both the hot tub and pool were drained but filling up with rain water. Extenstion cords and various other cords are draping in and out of hot tub from when they started work on fixing everything...FOUR months ago. I have called and emailed twice, absolutely no response from Mission Rock. Had a friend move in, only to discover multiple things broken inside the apt. Moved back out 5 days later and Mission Rock is refusing to return her deposit. Need I say more?!
Mission Rock recently took over our property (Solana Cherry Creek) and are quickly working to bring things back to where they were when we originally moved in. The leasing and management team and very friendly, helpful and responsive. The maintenance and cleaning staff have been doing a good job. We really enjoy this property and are pleased that Mission Rock has done such a great job. Thank you Mimi and Hunter for all your help!
