We had a quaint dinner with friends. The country atmosphere is very relaxing. The prix fix menu is way too limited, with only three choices for entrees. However, the appetizers shown above the mains, and the desserts were very good.

Wow !!! My boyfriend and I went there about two weeks ago and we are *still* talking about it. I just had to write a review. Excellent food, drinks (yum!) and absolutely superior service. Our waitress was awesome. We seriously loved our date night, which was wonderful with such great food and service that was there but not on top of us .....iow...left us alone when we needed to talk etc. ....hopefully you get what I mean by that! (; Lol.)

We are looking forward to going again very soon!!!

PS-Very COVID conscious (follow protocol), which was greatly appreciated, too, these days.

This magnificent restaurant has adapted to COVID without missing a beat. This weekend, we had take out, which was great. The service (call ahead and pay, pick up curbside) was safe and efficient, and the food was delicious - fancy steak, lobster, salad, and sides for the adults and burgers for the kids. And beer for dad! Please add Mirabelle to your take out list for a wonderful experience!

We made a reservation for Sunday the 25th and the restaurant called us a night before to confirm it was for the brunch buffet specifically. So we arrive at 11am when our reservation was and it was clear they had a wedding event there. I didn't think much of it thinking they made the arrangements to separate everyone from the wedding. We sit down and are told there's no brunch today even though they told us there would be the night before. We wait 15 min for a menu which the chef was still printing out after the place opened. This menu was a price fixed menu with a 2 and 3 course option. A few minutes after getting the menu it was taken away from us and told the chef is changing and menu once again and printing more out. 30 minutes now pass and we get the new second menu and it no longer has price fixed prices for 2 or 3 courses even though at the top of the menu it said price fixed brunch. It was obviously done in a rush and they did not manage the wedding and regular patrons well at all. They couldn't even honor their mistake of giving us the original prices which would have saved us 7-8 dollars which was essentially another dish. This is incredibly unprofessional and today Mirabelle severely missed their mark. Usually their brunch buffet is great. The wait staff was excellent however and we're sympathetic and it wasn't their fault. It was a management issue. Disappointing.

Cozy, even during a pandemic recovery. Currently seating is outside ( think cozy garden ambience). Ordering food is online easiest( and safest), they can bring out your food once you call and are seated. They are adapting but are still providing the best customer service and food.

This site is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Whenever I feel like having a good dinner, this is the place that comes straight to my head. best and all kinds of food and a large list of dishes.professional staff, and good vibes. And very important, the charge is reasonable. I recommend this place with no doubt.

Delicious French-accented food. Oysters, arctic char, cod, duck, quail, venison were all very good (one of the best ducks we have ever had). The service is generally attentive, but occasionally slow, and has slipped a notch or two from its former standard. The setting is more open and attractive than the former St James location, though also less intimate.

Small octopus plate was good, salty and sweet tones to it. It was the perfect size to my charcuterie board appetizer! Their farm to table menu was especially delicious, I would recommend opting for the three course. Their lava cake was a great size and not too overpowering. Service was great, and a very homey atmosphere!

Went for brunch here in a group of 5. To begin, the service was slow, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food even though there was only one other table seated in the restaurant. Secondly, two of us ordered avocado toast benedict and they came out completely cold. Thirdly, two of us ordered the pancakes, which on the menu describes to be served with a "peach compote, blueberries, [and] maple syrup," but came out with apples in the form of an apple pie filling. Finally, the pancakes seemed to be frozen pancakes that are sold in the supermarket. When questioning the waiter about this, he claimed "they are made ahead of time." Overall, we would not recommend coming here for brunch.

We went for restaurant week because the choices looked interesting. Turned out that they were delicious too. We shared two appetizers, Scallop and salmon terrine served with pickled onions and yuzu mayonnaise and caramelized onion and fig tart with goat cheese. They were both excellent. We then both had the pork chop over an amazing sauerkraut and a sausage on top. It was cooked perfect. Pork chop tender and juicy, sausage a perfect little crunch on the outside juicy inside. I finished with a ginger tart which I loved every bite of. My wife had an apple tart which she loved. I don't eat cooked apples so I'll go with her loving it. Even the decaf coffee was good. What made it better was that the service was impeccable, efficient and super friendly. The ambiance was a little hard for me as the room was a little too bright and the burnt orange wallpaper was not my taste. I would definitely go back.

I must say what a wonderful night. From the extremely warm greeting from Ron at the front desk to the delicious drinks that Jamie and Natalie had prepared, to the great wait staff with Kathy and others the night could not have gone any better. Everyone kept the guest experience first and foremost.

I ll tell you though what I was most impressed with were the napkins. They were superbly presented and folded with such care that they were perfectly splendid!

I will definitely go back and I will highly recommend to all my friends. It s a damn shame I couldn t have given a sixth star.

The charming historic setting for a tavern and inviting restaurant right in the heart of Stony Brook. Strolling about the grounds as you enter, you can easily envision an outdoor wedding in the garden or a delightful lawn party. Inside the floors, walls, and setting speak to the heritage that surrounds this location. Events abound here including a 7-Course Tastings on Friday's, annual Pig Roast August 23, and more. We celebrated Father's Day here with a delightful Brunch. The Chef here worked his magic bringing both traditional breakfast favorites and choices like Prine Rib, Jumbo Shrimp (Which at the commencement of our seating ran out, so staff were dispensed and they produced enough shrimp to satisfy all the hungry appetites. The Maitre D'/Hostess, Jennifer, (hope I got this correctly, gracious woman with dark hair and eyes, petite stature) made sure to communicate the shrimp was on it's the way. And all the staff were accommodating and attentive. Certainly A+++ for customer service. I left thinking, sure wish I had my wedding here! The foods were displayed nicely, deliciously prepared and offered many choices in meats, salads, fish, both hot and cold preparations. The dessert table was delicious and in keeping with the Lessings high standards for taste. If you have time to visit Stony Brook, do put Mirabelle on your itinerary. If you need to stay over, you are in luck as the Three Village Inn is part of this beautiful property. Enjoy the views and lush landscapes. Don't be surprised if a groom rides up on horseback as it sure is within keeping of the fairy tale spirit here.

After arriving in town, Jeff and I were exhausted. We almost stayed in, but instead followed the advice of a friend and went for dinner at Mirabelle (and thank gosh we did!). When I say that the beef filet was scrumptious, I mean it was SCRUMPTIOUS. The evening in its entirety was a pleasant surprise to say the least. We had a waitress called Julia, who recommended we finish off the evening with a special Christmas log dessert. Needless to say, I fought Jeff for the last bite, lol! Thanks a million to the staff for bringing a little extra joy to our holiday season. Stay safe folks!

Since I've never had French food before, I was really exicted to try this place. The Moroccan couscous and chicken I had was good but I've had way better. I love a good crusty bread but the bread my friend and I got was extremely hard to bit into and I gave up because it started to scrape up the roof of my mouth. Overall, I'm still looking for that "omg yyaasss French food, I'm living for you " moment but Mirabelle isn't it

I cannot say enough about this place! The food and the staff are AMAZING! My mother chose Mirabelle to have her 65th birthday dinner with the family. This place already had special meaning for her because she d had dinner there for her 18th birthday. Adam Devine made sure that our experience was exceptional, right down to the very last detail. He even came to our table personally to give us the cake and to present my mother with a special gift. We thank him, and the rest of the people who waited on us, from the bottom of our hearts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS IS A RESTAURANT YOU NEED TO VISIT!!!!!

The atmosphere and ambiance was nice, but the food was sub par. I ordered the steak frites and the meat had no flavor. The vegetables that came with the meal we're not fully cooked, and the side salad was just iceberg lettuce which was not very crispy. I really wanted to like the food, but I couldn't find anything about it to like. It also took about 45-50 minutes to get our food. I'm pretty disappointed with my experience here.

Mixed reviews. We came her for Christmas Eve dinner. The Mandatory Valet parking was amazingly univiting for a "classy" place. When they came to the window when I stopped I thought I might get car jacked. Ghetto would be the word that best describes it. A guy wearing a satin 1980 jacket with the entire back of the jacket having an Al Pachino Scarface picture and a large woman with her jacket tied around her waist giving use the WHOOO as we pulled up..so unclassy I even had to ask if they were really the valet before handing over my keys. Horrific entry to a supposedly classy place. Set the tone a bit. Food was good for a pix fix meal but they had kids serving which is fine, I worked in catering when I was 16 and understand but they forgot all are silverware for dessert and brought out our salads at different times. We always wait till all are served before eating and it was a bit uncomfortable as some had hot food. The room was nice as is the entire inside, Old building steakhouse feel to it. All I kept thing was "this place would be so much more enjoyable if they had a real deal Matradee standing in the corner of the room overseeing everything" This has the vibe of used to be good but past its prime.Wouldn't go back.

Just what we needed amid this craziness! My partner and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Mirabelle Saturday evening. Everything was delicious, we had the scallops and the apple cobbler (oops! my guilty pleasure!). Our server, "Julia" was lovely as well. Its safe to say we'll be back, thanks Mirabelle Tavern!

Wonderful ambiance with acceptable food. We both started off with a delicious lobster bisque - creamy, flavorful and warm, perfect for a cold winter night. Next up were a red snapper (excellent!) with a middling squid ink risotto, and haddock somewhat awkwardly served atop a decent orzo caponata. Desserts were okay, if a bit pricey. Overall, the par-for-the-course food was balanced by absolutely top-notch, cozy interiors, and kind, attentive staff.

Food was not
Great... gnocchi tasted
Like jar sauce, empanadas were greasy. Fish dish had chunks of salmon and bass with skin still on, and they never gave a bowl for the shells.
Waitress never poured our wine for us from the bottle. Dingy dining room
With peeling wallpaper. And... valet could not find our car keys!!!
Very disappointed!!

Came for dinner on a Saturday. The outdoor ambiance was fairly nice. The service was a bit slow, but the pace was relaxed and allowed us to enjoy our drinks. The real issue was the food. My partner and I both ordered the steak frites. The burrata was subpar. The meat was unseasoned and flavorless (and a cheap cut considering the price). The peas were frozen, which is unacceptable. Though I understand not being able to get fresh peas year round, they should just be rotated off the menu off-season. Definitely worth checking out other restaurants if you're in the area.

Really excited to try this place as the reviews looked great. Ordered the seafood fricassee. The drink was amazing (firefly tea vodka mint and lemonade). The burrata and the panisses were also very good. However, the service started off great then after food was served we didn't see our waiter for 25 minutes and he never asked if our food was OK. We had to ask the assistant waiter for the bill. The worst part was the seafood fricassee was advertised as shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster, scallops, Monkfish, vegetables and seabeans. There was no shrimp, lobster or scallops in the dish at all. Salmon was substituted without asking in place. I would venture to say this experience was extremely disappointing especially when you spend so much on dinner.
