Saw the exterior about two years ago. Very impressive and very beautiful.
Good welcome. At the entrance to the offices, it looked like the dashboard of a 747!
Bring a lot of wealth to the area and seem to respect the environment.

Malartic is a mining town that attracted many gold prospectors after 1923. The gold mine was only closed in 1965 when it started operating in 1935. But by 2008, Osisko re-explored and discovered a new gold mine that had not yet been developed underground in the town, and obtained government approval to mine, making it the largest open-pit gold mine in Canadian history.

There are steps on the slope, you can comfortably walk up to the top of the slope to visit the entire mine and mining operations. This is a great experience.

It was found online that the open-pit mine is 2 kilometers long and 800 meters wide, 400 meters deep from the surface, and has a reserve of 9 million ounces. It is expected to be completed in 12 years. When we went, both the excavator and the transport truck were at work.

Looking back to the north from the viewing platform on the top of the slope, below the mountain is a large activity area including children's games in the town, and the museum is opposite.

They are courageous to hire and work with "young professionals". Unlike many other quebecois companies that just work with "experienced quebecois".There are various professionals and interns with different backgrounds from different provinces and universities. They should be proud for their contribution in training a huge number of Canadian work force. Great place to start your career and grow.

Impressive view but with the quantity of orange clouds resulting from the constant blasting in order to make a nose of gold for a ton of broken rock, not to mention the hundreds of Amerindians packed down from their lands to go and make these holes of unspeakable pollution; legacy of a provincial Liberal government in power for far too long; I will not throw the first stone all the same since I was a shareholder of this place for a few years; I did not make a cent with it and the reason for my stock purchase was simply to annoy my cousin who worked there as a sampler. The company pays its employees well.
