This is the best venue to see the most incredible plays, beside Broadway in New York City! We have been members for over 18 years. We look forward to seeing as many plays as possible that are running throughout the year. You can't put a price on fun! $

Absolutely Fantastic Evening!!!

This was our first visit and we loved it. The show, "The Devil's Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith" was incredible. The Stackner Caberet was the perfect venue. The whole room was filled with sound. Definitely would go again.

The Repertory Theater is located inside the Milwaukee Center connected to the Intercontinental Hotel. It was once a power plant as the lettering in front of the building still reads "The Milwaukee Railway and Light Co."

I love the Mileage Repertory Theater, i buy season tickets each year for all shows out of my tax refund (think of it as found money). Last week saw A Brilliant Thing, a play that gave me a rough nights sleep thinking about done things from my past but would still highly recommend seeing this play. Yesterday saw Ring of Fire, and it was just so enjoyable, a great ensemble cast that work so well together.

I loved my experience at the rep. The play I saw was highly entertaining. I love the amenities from the bar to the plastic cups the theater gives you to take into the theater. What a great place!

I love The Rep. The staff is wonderful, as friendly as it gets.
I have been to two shows at The Rep: "American Song" and "Disgraced." Both plays left me ruminating for weeks. I have felt that the theater tries to pick art that calls the audience to future action as much as inspires it.
I love the theater's educational programs. After "American Song," The Rep invited a community leader to present his experience on gun violence, which brought a new dimension to the show. After Disgraced, The Rep organized facilitated dialogues after the play to discuss with other people the topic of personal identity. Another great idea!
On top of that, their play guides are comprehensive and engaging.

I love the place.
Totally recommendable!

What an awesome experience!!!

What an awesome experience!!!
This was a field trip for JTerm 6th, 7th and 8th grade class.
JJ and Abby are so fantastic.
We absolutely loved having them come to our MPS school and teaching us about theater.
Our tour of the Rep was so informative and fun. I hope other classes get to participate and learn about the Rep and theatre.
Thank you JJ and Abby it was a pleasure meeting both of you. Keep up the great work of inspiring young people about the Arts.

Forgetting to request disability access seating, we needed to change our seats ten minutes before the play started. Staff was wonderful, efficient, and kind. Seats were in the same section. The theatrical selections for the season are always enjoyable.

Had a wonderful time at 'In the Heights" here last night.

The Quadracci Powerhouse had great seats, excellent sound and lighting.

I only knocked off one star because the elevators after the show were a long wait and the parking isn't awesome.

I wish I could review the Stackner's food separately, because that deserves 5 stars. Definitely go try the Stackner Cabaret for a dinner before a show (or during a show...)

Was traveling in Milwaukee for work and came here to see Guys and Dolls. The show was amazing. It was their preview night so you paid what you could, which was a nice surprise. I will say, I'm a pretty petite person but the seats down in the orchestra section are very tightly squeezed together and had almost no leg room.

Productions are always well done and professional. Many productions are thought provoking and they sometimes will give you an opportunity to discuss ones that are contraversial with others in a moderated setting. Always well chosen productions. Grest use of sets and costumes. All three venues are highly recommended.

We had dinner and attended a play at the Stackner Theater, one of three venues at the Milwaukee Rep. The Stackner facility has been newly remodeled to accommodate more patrons, but that has resulted in less space between tables so it's a bit more crowded than it had been. The dinners are generally good (with delicious desserts) and the performances are consistently excellent.

About Milwaukee Repertory Theater

Milwaukee Repertory Theater: Igniting Positive Change through World-Class Theater Experiences

Milwaukee Repertory Theater, also known as Milwaukee Rep, is a non-profit theater company that has been entertaining and inspiring audiences for over 65 years. Founded in 1954, Milwaukee Rep has become one of the leading regional theaters in the United States, producing world-class theater experiences that entertain, provoke, and inspire meaningful dialogue among an audience representative of Milwaukee’s rich diversity.

At its core, Milwaukee Rep is committed to igniting positive change in the cultural, social, and economic vitality of its community. Through its productions and outreach programs, Milwaukee Rep seeks to create a more inclusive society where everyone feels valued and heard. The theater's mission is to use the power of storytelling to bring people together and foster empathy and understanding.

Milwaukee Rep produces a wide range of plays each season - from classic dramas to contemporary comedies - with an emphasis on new works that reflect the diverse voices of our time. The company's artistic director Mark Clements leads a team of talented artists who work tirelessly to bring these stories to life on stage.

One thing that sets Milwaukee Rep apart from other theaters is its commitment to engaging with its audience beyond just the performance itself. The theater offers pre-show talks where patrons can learn more about the play they are about to see or engage in post-show discussions where they can share their thoughts with fellow audience members.

In addition to producing high-quality theater experiences for adults, Milwaukee Rep also offers educational programming for young people through its Education Department. These programs include student matinees where school groups can attend performances during school hours at discounted rates as well as workshops led by professional actors and directors.

Another way that Milwaukee Rep engages with its community is through partnerships with local organizations such as schools, libraries, and community centers. These partnerships allow the theater company to reach audiences who might not otherwise have access or exposure to live theater.

Milwaukee Rep has received numerous awards over the years for both artistic excellence and community engagement. In 2019 alone it was awarded three prestigious Tony Awards including Best Regional Theater - a testament not only to their exceptional productions but also their commitment towards making positive change within their community.
