Great beers, my FAVORITE brewery tour of all SE Wisconsin. For $10 you get a pint glass, "three" beer "samples" (quickly turns to basically full servings, and can get a bonus fill or two after the tour), a beer token for a free pint at participating bars, and a damn good little tour. It's short and sweet, but it goes through all the steps and shows you all the parts of their operation. Anyways though, all good people and great tasting beers. Have gone a few times over the years, tiny changes here and there but overall still a great experience.

Excellent place for a quick stop in Milwaukee, well sometimes that quick stop is not quick anymore once you have tasted their beers. They have a great open space surround the bar area. Beers are great and so is the food. There is a $7 valet or you can just find street parking for much cheaper.

People talking about waiters, service and food are reviewing the wrong place, this is a brewery not a brew pub. that being said, this is one of the top tours offered by a craft brewer in the area plenty of sampling and a nice glass to take home.

$10 for a take-home laser-engraved glass, unlimited beer for 2h, and a hilarious tour that actually teaches you about beer? It's almost too good to be true. The beer is also fantastic and locally-sourced. There's no way it'll stay this price forever, especially with the crowds they're drawing, so go while you can!

Best beer tour in Milwaukee. Period! Tour is about an hour, there are breaks during the tour so you can sample beers. Pours are very generous, you can also stay after the tour to sample more beers. You even get a token that you can redeem for a beer at places that serve MKE Brewing Co. beer. Take a cab as you will definitely be tipys after this tour!

The MKE brewery is in a huge former Pabst building located in downtown Milwaukee. The brewery tour I took was just o.k. The guide was great but we did not do much walking around during the tour as you can see everything from one vantage point. They did offers unlimited samles before, during and after. The beer selection was good but I didn't care for quite a few of the beers. They all had a similar off flavor I could not help but notice. Don't make an extra effort to do the tour but do it if you have the time. I believe they have a restaurant but I did not get food.

We had Tim as our tour guide and he was fantastic! Super funny but also very knowledgeable. You get a glass, plenty of beer samples and a beer token for $10 which is a great deal. You get to drink for 45 min after the tour so you can try more samples too.

Such a nice brewery. Definitely a great place to come with family or some friends. The tour includes unlimited (within reason, dont be a drunk) drinking, so at $12 is a great value. Tim was an excellent tour guide, and I've totally seen him in Red Letter Media videos . Worth the visit!

This is my favorite brewery in Milwaukee. The tour is great, with funny tour guides and plenty of beer to go around. But of the many, many breweries popping up all over the city, Milwaukee Brewing Company has the best beer by far in my opinion. Can't wait to see the new location they are working on!

Mke Brewery is the best brewery in Milwaukee. Andy was a great tour guide and was able to answer all of our questioms. We learned a ton of information and he went above and beyond the normal tours we have done

This brewery is awesome! They are so friendly and knowledgeable. My fiance and I had just got engaged in Milwaukee and when the host, Christian, at MKE found out he made every effort to make this a memorable visit. Upon speaking with him, he had discovered that last year I had broke their brewery tour glass (very devastating) and was looking for the same glass this year. He surprised us with two replacement glasses! Our first official engagement gift! I was over the moon. He completely made our week with his sincerity and kindness. MKE Brewing Company will always be a "must visit" stop whenever we are in the city!

Came up to Milwaukee for a weekend. I had planned the visit around coming here in the afternoon. The tickets were sold out for the tour at 4, when we came by at 3. Apparently the "spontaneous" aspect their website advertises is a misnomer, as the girl told us they regularly sell out as soon as the doors open at 12, with lines out the door. Uncool mbc. I would have reserved tickets had I known.

Great new building. This was the last of the Pabst buildings. They've put a lot into this.
I've been on brewery tours before and I've been to their 2nd street tour. This just gives me a chance to sample their beer.
If you happen to be a little "lit up" after the tour, you can hang out there for a while and play "corn hole", you can hula hoop, or even play board games with your friends.

EDIT: This company reached out to me and offered an apology. They had us come back and tour again and this time was very nice. I enjoyed the beer a ton!

EDIT: I contacted the email as requested and never received a response so I guess they dont actually care what their customers think.

The only reason I am giving this one star rating is because despite the excellent tasting and wide beer selection, pleasant facility, and helpful staff, I experienced the most awful tour and tour guide ever. To be fair, the tour probably sucked because of the awful and disrespectful tour guide. Despite Jeremy stating he welcomed questions and input during the first part of the tour, by the third station he seemed aggravated with honest questions. This continued until he randomly flicked off a member of our group to his back in the middle of the tour which was absolutely uncalled for because he just asked a question. I felt so uncomfortable that I and many others had to leave immediately. On my way out, I expressed my disgust and shock to the lovely employees up front who did their best to listen and even offered amends. I wish I had never went on the tour with Jeremy and in my opinion he should either fix his attitude or find another job.

Had some visitors from Europe we were entertaining and thought that this might be fun. Very clean, modern facility and the tour was about a 7.5 out of 10. Disappointed that kids 15 - 21 still had to pay full adult fare - the young girl with us was clearly bored during the tour and drinking only water while we celebrated beer - how about a soft drink or a snack for our $12? The tour began funny enough with a few videos sharing the ground rules, but it waned after that. It left me wanting more humor, audience participation and storytelling about beer making history in MKE and process. There are better tours available *cough - Lakeside Brewery - cough*. The BEER at MKE is delicious, our bartender was super friendly, but the group had more fun playing cornhole than on the tour.

I truly enjoy The Milwaukee Brewing Company.

I truly enjoy The Milwaukee Brewing Company.

I've been on the regular tour back in 2013. It was an amazingingly entertaining and informative tour. Plus the beer tasting experience was even more amazing. This tour is my metric for judging other brewery tour and is still the best.

This year I attended one of their Sunday evening open-houses and had a great time meeting a variety of people at the event, and again the beer tasting was yet again, great.

The beer. I don't like all types of beer but I enjoy many of MKE's, and you'll find at least one you enjoy -- that's probably true for any micro or regional brewery though.

Lastly, the staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable too. I recently stopped by to purchase a case of Wolfhound Irish Red Ale, a new brew for spring 2016 -- I absolutely fell in love with this delicious ale that I found at a local store but they didn't get any more, so I went to the source. When I stopped by I meet the President and he hunted for and grabbed a case for me, and I was able to lobby for this wonderful brew to become at least a seasonal if not a new year-round.

Stop by and decide for yourself.

Was here 11/3/19 around 5:00PM. Failed three times to get a seat in the beer hall area, so my wife and i headed into the brewery. Place was empty. Probably only 5 people at the bar. Sat and waited for ten minutes while the bartender had a conversation with another patron, pretending she didn't see other customers. No one helped us or asked us if we wanted anything. While we were waiting a few other people came in and sat next to us. Bartender finally broke from her conversation, told us she'd be right with us, then proceeded to take orders from those that arrived after us. We left. Won't ever go here again. Went to Good City Brewing and the place was super busy, had great beer, and staff that were actively waiting on and trying to help customers. Great experience at GC. Not so much at MKE.

As others have said, the tour here is great and a wonderful value. Be aware that this is not a taproom, so don't plan on just stopping in to hang out. The tour guides are great - entertaining and knowledgeable. The beers are tasty and the tour comes with (virtually) unlimited samples, a pint glass, and a free beer at a local bar. Must see if you're in the area!

Our group was treated very rudely by the tour guide, he basically assumed we didn't care to hear anything he was talking about and told us in front of everyone else to 'go back to the bar'. After the beer break he does on the tour, we came back and we were the first ones there waiting for him to start talking again, and again he told us to go away. We felt very disrespected and did not understand why he would ruin the tour for everyone there not only us...we all paid money and even bought merchandise. We love MKE beer and that is our go to order at the bar and store, but this guy just ruined the night for us and probably everyone else on the tour too. Not a good first impression for those whose first time it was like myself. If it wasn't for him, it would have gotten 5 stars for sure.

Great place to visit. Took the $12 tour, which comes with a free beer glass and unlimited sampling. Their beers are excellent and some of them are pretty strong, so watch out. They walk you around the building explain the beer making process and how their steps towards being more environmental friendly. In between the different stops they give you time to go back to the bar for a refill. The tour guide was truly entertaining. He was funny, without being cheesy and really made the whole experience a blast. I would recommend anyone visiting Milwaukee to make a stop here.

The tour is a great way to spend an hour and try a few beers. The tour is interesting and fun, the tour guides have a fun personality and an obvious passion for craft beer. For only $10 you get the tour, a pint glass, free beer token and a few samples. You will have a very hard time finding a beer you won't like.

We booked a tour and accidentally went at the wrong time. As part of the tour we were supposed to get a tour, a pint glass and half a glass pour. They were unwilling to reschedule our tour because we 'wasted' four spots earlier in the day- even though we paid in advance . They were also unwilling to give us the half pour. I'm visiting from out of state to try their beer and will never drink their beer again. I have never been to a brewery with such terrible customer service. MKE brewing doesn't care about its customers (or prospective customers). All we wanted was to try the beer and we were denied that request. This is not your local craft brewery.

The tour was a perfect blend of formal process with informal rapport. The time spent was some of the best this side of Milwaukee. Fantastic beer with even better educational staff! Like the Magic School Bus for adults

Too many cook in one kitchen with this location. I can't sit here can't sit there. Love the decor men's bathroom had to be made by a jaded women. Three stalls, three sinks two urnials. Why? Never seen that long of a line for a men's restroom. Three stars for the beer.

I'm torn on this location, likely due to move of the 2nd street location. So the beers are great (of course), the bartenders I have interacted with so far have been attentive, and I Iike the food at the attached restaurant. But, the parking situation is frustrating (can be avoided by taking a lyft/uber), and the crate club thing has felt unorganized since the move. Overall, it's pretty neat and I will obviously continue to go.

Worst experience ever! Ordered food and drinks for lunch at the bar.ask the bartender if we could sit on the deck as there was plenty of seating. He said yes, we paid the bill and left a generous tip. We moved our drinks and food on the deck. The waitress was not happy she wanted a tip. She said we were taking up a chair and the waittress expected a tip. I told her there was plenty of seats available. The manager came over and required us to move to dowmstairs deck because his waittress needed a tip. an hour later there are still empty tables. Ridiculous!!

Terrible place. Friend was there waiting for a bus sitting at a table alone a small family came up to ask if they could join him. He kindly agreed. Then management came and kicked him out saying he was creeping out the family that asked to join him. This company should really know their customers better. He was enjoying a drink waiting for a bus and got kicked out for it. This place sounds awful and I'll never go there.

We had such a great tour! Pretty much unlimited drinks the whole time, just could only get a half glass at a time. The giant Pabst sign was awesome to stumble across - 15' tall! And a great story to boot.

It might be the greatest place on earth! My friends and I were in town for a baseball game and almost didn't make it there. That's how great the place was. It wasn't even our first choice of breweries to try but it was the only place that would take us last minute on a Saturday. Needless to say everything was great. It's not your typical tour like the big boys where you get to see state of the art stuff and two beers if you're lucky. We almost didn't make it to the Brewers game because they let us try so many beers. The tour guide was awesome! Full of energy and very funny.

If you read a review for this place that is less than 5 stars, the person who wrote it either:
1. Has never been in on a brewery tour
2. Knows nothing about drinking
3. Has a severe mental handicap
4. Drank themselves silly at Milwaukee Brew Co. and they have no idea what planet they're on or what year it is.

So call Doc Brown, call an Uber, call a cab, or better yet, call a bunch of friends and do some day drinking at this place!!!
