I have had my home with this builder for less than a year, and wish I had better things to say about it/the entire home-buying experience with this builder. I ran into issues during every step of the purchase experience, from their sales agent promising a price only to not be able to deliver that price in the end, to warranty request items not being fulfilled in a timely manner (4-5 months to receive just a response after sending a request). The customer service/warranty team is slow/unresponsive, and there always seems to be excuses as to not have something fixed (that are not due to typical wear/tear). While I'll say that everyone that I've interacted with is polite and courteous, it doesn't really mean much when the service is still terrible. You can also see where this builder has cut corners when completing homes, which must be how they're able to get homes up in 4 months, as stated by their sales agent and seeing with my own eyes. I'm happy to share my experience for anyone interested in purchasing a home. -Thraw37
I bought a Milestone property 3 years ago and at first Milestone was great. Then as soon as I had the keys their attitude changed. Any warranty issue I put in that first year was a constant struggle. Their homes are just cheap, mass produced homes. You will have numerous issues.
From the first time when I was introduce to the MileStone Community Builders service during my search for a property I was impressed by professionalism of your staff. Particularly, I would like to recognize Ethan Cole for his dedication to both interest of your company and interest of the customers ( as myself). I really appreciate the extra time Ethan have been spending to answer all my questions and provide the solutions to the problems. His positive attitude has had a very positive influence on my decision to buy property from the MileStone. I really appreciate Ethan s taking the time out of his busy schedule to speak with me, and your insights into my situation.
I love my house! I loved all the people involved! Milestone builders have taken care of me every step of the way! I am very pleased with the service they have provided. Bruce has gone above and beyond educating me about...how my house works, and teaching me how to maintain my house. I am very grateful for all the support I have received! I appreciate having all my questions answered and addressed! Thank you!
We built a home with Milestone last year and the process has been great until we started submitting warranty repairs. It s been6 months and I m still waiting to schedule two repairs and the customer service manager is very unresponsive. When I can manage to get in touch with him he is rude and never has an answer for me. This process makes me hesitant to build a home ever again because I can t count on warranty issues being resolved in a timely manor.
Justin is amazing! So helpful and insightful. The whole process of buying my first home has been stellar with Milestone.
A lot of our issues with our new home; hard to get them on the phone to repair. Top quality build lol. We had another property with them we planned to closing on. Covid and out of work for months. Can t close now and they will not even return 1 penny of the deposit. Not sure if you call that good businessman like Trump says he is or if it s heartless.... you pick.
DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THIS BUILDER!!!! They will turn your dream in to a nightmare! My home is less than 3 years old and they are making me foot the bill for a $14,000 dollar repair on my sewer line. They hire terrible contractors and do not hold them accountable for their work. I'm genuinely surprised that there isn't more poor reviews.
UPDATE (9/8/2014) - I am updating this review as Milestone has acknowledged our complaints and provided a satisfactory resolution. We appreciate their understanding of the situation we were put in and rectifying it. ****************************************************************************************************************** Milestone Community Builders has made numerous mistakes throughout the building process that has led to an extremely excessive delay in the construction and closing of our home. My husband and I have been without housing for 3 months due to Milestone's continually extending closing dates. During a construction sign off (they should not have started building prior to this sign off, this is to catch any mistakes) we discover Milestone has the floor plan flipped. I point out we never asked for that. We are told construction was already underway and nothing can be done about it. We lose our lot because Milestone started BUILDING THE WRONG HOUSE. We were told we would close in June. It's now August and are being told we won't close until September. We have been homeless since June 1st because we sold our house under the advisement of Milestone that we would have a home by June. We have incurred storage and hotel fees and currently have nowhere to live and keep getting told conflicting stories and false promises. I would not advise using Milestone unless you have endless amounts of cash, time and patience.
Love this company! My husband and I recently bought our first home with Milestone. They're almost done building and we can't wait to move in! Manny (the superintendent) is so organized and professional! It rained in Austin for a month straight and rain or shine they were still working hard. Luis (the sales rep) is so attentive and a complete joy to work with. He has a great attention to detail that I've been so impressed with! He updates us weekly on the progress of home, making it really easy for us. They have made this experience fun and exciting and we are so excited to move in!
Luis, Emilio, Jordan and the rest of the milestone team are seriously amazing! I closed on my first home in Austin two weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
Would have liked a better experience as a first time home buyer but I can tell they are making strides to improve their customer service.
Completely destroying the beauty of Harry Man Rd. This builder has completely removed all the trees on the building site on both sides of a street where we celebrate the history and natural beauty we were given. Unbelievable! They could have kept the trees in place by Harry Man Rd and built an entrance like you were driving into the woods. I can't believe Williamson County allowed this especially over a an Edwards Aquifer recharge zone. Disgusting way to develop each inch of land to their benefit
I had a really bad experience while trying to buy a house at Arbors at Lakeline. Sales reps are not updated with the properties status they already sold. I was working with Stacy Cliatt, and she didn't know that the house I was interested was already sold a day earlier. No proper updates/information, follow ups at all. Be careful if you are interested in something, make sure the property is available at that point of time. Proper updates will help the buyers to make decisions.
My Home is currently in the process of getting built(Whitestone Landing, Cedar Park). It should be ready by late September. Our sales representative Amit Frias is an awesome guy to work with. He has answers for all our questions at any time of the day, even weekends. Also Ms. Omayma with the design center is very patient. Being the first time homebuyers we had lots of questions with Amit and we had to change things, multiple times in the design center. Both Amit and Omayma helped us a lot. Even now I have thoughts of asking for changing few things in the design center. Hope they will help me with the changes...
Amazing Sales Staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable of the homes and products for the homes.
If you want a great home, make sure you contact MileStone Community Builders!
They are actively trying to destroy an incredible old growth oak grove just to improve visibility to their zero lot line development.
the experience of having a new home built was nice. They did a great job on our new house. If you are looking for a new house check MileStone Builders out.
My purchase of a Milestone home was pretty easy. I got to pick my floor plan and all the options that I wanted to do in my choices. Got to meet with Milestones interior decourator and choose what upgrades I wanted in the styles and colors that I wanted this can be a lenghty process but is well worth the time as you live with the results for a long time. Closed on time with Milestone picking up alot of the closing costs as long as you use there lender. My walk thru list was short as they did it right the first time and what I did have they took care of right away with the end result being I got a very energy efficient, low maintenance, well built, good looking home that I really enjoy. Buying a home is stressful have done this before but Milestone made it an easier process for me. Very happy with my decision to buy a Milestone home.
We love our new home!!! Milestone has been a wonderful company to work with. The whole process of buying our first home has been so great and everyone that has worked with us has been so very helpful. Nothing but a positive experience!! Our house is beautiful!!
A great team out here at the Whitestone Boulevard community. We bought a house there and Andy helped us through closing all the way until we took ownership of the house. He was always available to answer our phone calls, questions and any concerns we had. A big shout out to Kerry the construction superintendent! Thank you for all your support and your help fixing all the issues that we had! Really professional work from all the team out there! They are really focused on customer satisfaction and it shows in the great way they treat people. Keep up the good work guys!
As an experienced home buyer I would never buy from milestone community builders!
Thank you mile stone for waking me up before 6am 6 days a week to build your community home! Ive tried contacting your office several time as to why you think it's okay to start construction work before 7am when producing such an unreasonable noise but apparently you don't care!
We love these guys. Ethan sold us a patch of dirt. Made 11 promises, kept 10 of them and exceeded the 11th by walking us into our new home 21 days early. Who does that? Ethan Cole. The price, the attention to detail right down to sanding and removing paint brush marks. Thank you all at Milestone AND Independent bank (ask for Josh Borders.) LP
Milestone has been really good with build. I have not had any major issues in the first year I owned the property. No major waranty calls. For the only call I have had, the response was quick and fast. Milestone put in some good infrastructural needs within the community. Would have been great if the Comunity Center had a Gym and the comunity was gated or had a wall facing Little Elm.
We worked with Brooke Munthe who was our Sales Coordinator at Reserve at Brushy Creek Milestone community. The community itself is great - be it the location, construction quality, floor plans or the promptness of Milestone in responding to the questions we had. A special mention again for Brooke who made our home buying process as simple as it can be. She is always available, extremely patient and cordial to talk and interact with. Brooke along with Milestone team has done a great job in closing out our home on time. Thank you Brooke and Milestone.
We had awesome buying experience with Milestone @ Teravista community. Larry (Sales Manager) gave excellent service right from the beginning till we found perfect house. He is a great guy with loads of patience and knowledge, hats off for the way he worked. Totally satisfied with the house and buying process. Thanks a bunch Larry Rubin.
We had a great experience with Milestone. James was our Salesperson and he was wonderful throughout the home building process. We constantly asked him questions and he was very responsive and overall a genuine and nice person. We're definitely enjoying our new home!
We entered into a Contingency Purchase Agreement with Milestone Homes at Hills of Bear Creek on February 10, 2017. Our salesperson Ms. Ashley Elgie. We pointed out to Ms. Elgie the lot we wanted to build on a soon to be released section and told her we liked the lot because it was at the high end of the section and furthest from the brown water pump station. Ms. Elgie called us later on to inform us that the section had been released and asked that we come in to work on the purchase agreement. We pointed out the lot we wanted and continually told her why we wanted to build on that particular lot. At a later date, she called to tell us that the plan we had picked was to be built as a spec on a different lot that met our requirements. We went to her office and she pointed to a different lot than we had selected lot and told us that particular lot was only 2 feet lower than the highest point of the section and about the farthest a lot could be from the brown water pump station. We continued to point out that the lot seemed to be next to a large pit that appeared to be about 12 feet deep and voiced our concerns about the proximity of the lot to the pit. She assured us that we were far away from the pit and only 2 ft off he highest point and about as far as we could be from the brown water pump station so we signed off but told her I would be visiting the build site to make sure the lot location was what we wanted and what she was telling us we were getting. In early May, she called to let us know that our house was at the official start date. I went to the site several times and did not see any evidence that work had started on our lot. After several visits to what I thought was our lot site, I finally called her to let her know that I thought she was wrong about our house being started cause there no evidence of any work being done on the lot I thought we had picked. This time she took a picture of the construction being done and emailed it to me. As soon as my wife and I saw it we realized that the lot on the picture was not what we had selected. The lot in the picture was two feet from the lowest end of the section and much too close to the brown water pump station. We scheduled a meeting with Ms. Elgie to voice our concerns and transfer to a different lot but Ms. Elgie said I should just cancel since I had never been happy with the community. This was the second time she told me we should just go ahead and cancel cause I was not happy with the community. On May 26, 2017, we scheduled a meeting to discuss our concerns about the location of the lot and request a transfer. We communicated our displeasure with the elevation of the lot and its proximity to the brown water pump but she continually insisted that was our lot. We asked to be transferred to a lot that met our requirements but Ms. Elgie again reiterated we should just cancel. We again told Ms. Elgie that we did not want to cancel that we just wanted to build on the lot that met our requirements. She said we would have to pay the $500 transfer fee but I asked that said fee be waived. Ms. Elgie seem to become somewhat upset and agitated and told us she could not waive the fee and that I had been belligerent and condescending to her throughout the process and that it would be better if we just canceled the purchase agreement. At this point my wife opted to go ahead with the cancellation of the purchase agreement and told Ms. Elgie we expected to get back our earnest money as well as our options money. She said we would get our earnest money back but not our options money. as we walked out of the sales office, Ms. Elgie called out to my wife,-"It was nice meeting you Judy." We would like to continue with the purchase agreement but on a lot that meets our requirements and with a different sales person. If this cannot be done we expect our earnest money and options money to be remitted to us.
I had about half million dollar house from Milestone last May. There was lots of issue from the buyer's walk but they promised to fix those when I sing the title docs... now it had been more than a year and still have issue with house but no one from milestone to contact me to fix these. Please do not waste your life time investment with Milestone!!!!
I spent the weekend at my friend Neil's place who recently purchased a home from this builders. He showed me so many problems which should not exist on a new home. This builder obviously does not care about their product quality. Stay Away!!!!
I would give zero stars if I could. Tremendous issues with most every house in the neighborhood. Buyer beware.
My fiancee and I found Milestone through our Realtor. We explored the option of building a new home with them at their Southbridge Villas location. Their on-site representative was very helpful, and they got us in touch with Mission Mortgage to fund the loan. We were first time homebuyers in the market, and didn't really know all that much. Mission was incredibly helpful and responsive in answering all of our inquiries to help get us through the process. Long story short, Mission never gave a formal pre-approval and Milestone invited us in to start building out our new home. We gave $1,000 earnest money and half a deposit for interior furnishings ($1,500). Shortly after we did this, I was informed that I had to be relocated for work. The house that we built out actually sold (at a higher premium than what we were going to buy it for) to a buyer immediately. $2,500 is no small sum of money for me to just give away for something that I didn't receive - I work hard for my money! That noted, my only issue is this: I was told that a refund of my money would be honored. I submitted all documentation and paperwork that was asked of me by Milestone. I've been in contact with several people and still, after 1.5 years (As of January 2015, it's been since June 2013 that I've been attempting to be refunded), I've received nothing. The only thing I can compare this to is an experience of being scammed by a body shop after a valet had hit my car. A promise that "the car will be ready next week" is comparable to "I just signed off on it today, it'll be there in 2 weeks." For the amount of money this company is making, a $2,500 hit on their books would pale in comparison. All I want is for my request to be honored, as Milestone said it would be.
This was my first experience buying a house, so the whole process was pretty new for me. For the most part the experience was great. 24 hours after we sat down with the designer we tried decided we wanted to change the direction of the tile in the bathroom, and even offered to pay $2,000.00 extra to have it done to our liking. We tried calling and e-mailing the designer but she could not be bothered to respond to our e-mails or calls. I understand that they are not a custom builder, and would have been fine if we had simply received a response that said "I'm sorry, we cannot do that." Not a word. I even called the Management office and left a message asking to speak with someone about it, and I didn't receive a response there either. When you pay over a quarter of a million dollars for a house, you expect some kind of communication. Regardless, the rest of the build and closing went fine. We closed in September, and the cabinets were not fully fixed after our 2nd walkthrough (the guys doing the floors scratched the cabinets so bad that all of the cabinet doors had to be replaced). They were eventually replaced, but they took over a month to get them ordered and installed. By the 1st walk through there was A LOT that needed to be fixed (wrong door handles, an entire cabinet missing, sprinklers weren't in). Everything got done (except the cabinets) but if the builds were managed better a lot of these headaches could be avoided because they're essentially having to re-do a lot of stuff that should have been done right the first time. We've had to get 2 other warranty things done and those were fixed without any problems. The 2nd night we were in the plumbing backed up due to a rag being left in the drain pipe. Plumber was able to clear it without any problems, but 48 hours into the house that was a rude awakening. I hadn't been given the warranty information yet (tuns out it was online, I found out after the fact) to call the 24 hour support plumber they're contracted with, so I had to call a local boy to clear the drain. Granted, you're buying a house and there's a -lot- that can go wrong, especially when they get put up so quickly. They would no doubt save themselves some headaches, and money, and stress from the buyer's standpoint. Overall, we did end up with a great, beautiful house. We had to put another $10,000 into it to get it how we wanted (interior painted something other than a shade of white, kitchen back splash, extra 220 wiring, wired for 7.1 surround, things like that) but our house rocks! And I wouldn't have a problem buying another Milestone house, I would just go into it differently at the design phase. The sales rep on the property was fabulous, and Jay was brilliant as a build supervisor (though he had just started at the end of our build). I'm sure the house's he's putting out now don't have the hiccups ours did.
I received the absolute best service from James Carreon during the looking and buying process. All my questions were answered, the price was fair, and every step of the process was communicated to me. Closing happened on time, and I love my new home. I highly recommend Milestone.
The MileStone crew is a great team to work with. From initial consultation all the way through closing the team was helpful and responsive. Consider yourself lucky if you get the opportunity to work with Luis, he's amazing!
Milestone Builders is very responsive during the purchase process. I would have rated them a 4 star if they were not rushing to close before the end of the year. Because of the rush, many areas and details during the walk through were not done. During our 2nd walk-through, we found a more serious problem on the cabinet doors which couldn't be fixed before the day of closing (day after our 2nd and final walkthrough). We were still on the phone an hour before our closing time trying to negotiate on how to fix the cabinet problem as we won't be able to see the finish product before closing. Other than the problem I described above, my overall experience has been positive, the overall quality of the house is good, design is thoughtful.
My Experience at the beginning was excellent! However the builder and I agreed that I could close much later in the year to allow me to pay off some debt and be financially responsible, which made since to them and me. Wouldn't that make since to you? So, as time went on the experience started to go down hill, On average during the building process they called me three out of the four weeks of the building process to give me a status update. However, when I had a concern -- they told me that it was too late to make changes. As we got closer to the completion of the home, they tried to force me to close on the home before the agreed date. I asked to compensated, with a washer, dryer and a fridge. They told me 'no'. I said ok, what about a Washer and a dryer. The Representative went to their management and they said no. I asked representative, why I should even buy this house, when we had an agreement that I would close much later in the year and now your not honoring that agreement. Their reply "Because it never happen." (I have a email trail. It did happen.) I wouldn't trust this builder if my Life depended on it. Their word isn't their bond, and I would seek to buy a home from another builder.
BUYER BEWARE! As someone who was in the market as a first-time home buyer, I had the absolute worst experience with Milestone. I was set to close on a newly built home in the Reserve at Brushy Creek until I lost my job and could not secure financing when it came time to requalify. The mortgage company they work with, Ameripro, was offering an extremely high interest rate and only offered the option of having "co-owners" and not "co-signers" which was another viable option they withheld and actually discouraged once I tried to take that route. To make a long story short, I had to back out of the contract due to my current financial situation and lost almost $18K in earnest money and options upgrades. I was told by the sales person, Brooke Munthe, that they would be keeping the money because Milestone was now on the hook for selling the home and I should be grateful I am not being sued for breach of contract and held accountable for the entire cost of the home. Milestone is double-dipping by not only taking my money, but also the money of the future home buyer. How unscrupulous can they be? Sadly, I did not read the contract and I put myself in this position, but there is a legal way to do business and there is a moral way to do business and Milestone chooses the former. If I had fallen ill or become disabled, would they have taken the same stance? I beg you to have a lawyer look over your sales contract before execution. After having an attorney review it (after it was too late) I came to learn that the contract is written in favor of Milestone and not the buyer. You are not allowed to rent your home, have anyone stay with you for an extended period of time, nor are you allowed to sell it before six months following the closing date. If God forbid you cannot close on the home or cannot secure financing, they will file suit for the entire price of the house, unless they simply take your earnest money and send you or your way while saying, "you signed the contract." Do you want to do business with a builder who is only out for themselves? Should you ultimately decide to do business with Milestone, request a clause be included in the contract to give back any money you've spent on the home prior to closing due to unforeseen life circumstances such as losing a job or getting sick. Home builders are desperate to sell houses, and odds are, they will include this in your contract because they don't want to lose the deal. If they don't, they will have revealed themselves to ultimately not have your best interests in mind and it will be up to you to decide if the risk you take on will be worth it. I am hoping my story can dissuade even one person from working with Milestone and the sales people they employ, like Brooke Munthe, one of the worst sales professionals I've ever encountered, who will be your best buddy during the sales process, but then flip to being a complete stranger when things don't work in her favor. If nothing else, let this be a lesson to all future home buyers to have an attorney read your sales contract and make sure it includes language that protects you financially should you not be able to move forward at closing. If it doesn't or if they are unwilling to add that language on your behalf, walk away and find another builder!
So grateful for our new home. We were not apart of the design and construction process but love your beautiful layout. Beautiful construction. There were some lines in the drywall and paint speckles that got taken care of right away. The house looks great. Thanks MileStone.
Home purchasing was very smooth and as a new buyer i was very well Guided by Amanda. Loving my new home. The home is also very well planned and plenty of lights and fresh air. Very well finished. Over all i am very happy on my decision to go with Milestone. Thank You.
Excellent builder with very responsive sales and deco staff. The construction staff were top shelf and warranty follow up was very professional and prompt. Quality home and outstanding value.
I wish there are negative stars to rate milestone builders in austin/round rock , after 6 months delay from the initial tentative closing date , still they can't guarantees 3rd time postponed date as well. till we sign the contract very nice once you sign and coming to closing , you see the actual people how they communicate to buyers. I do not know how a buyer could be living with these unpredictable dates and rental property leasing terms and conditions. why there are no terms and conditions for buyer on builders and property management ? why laws , terms and conditions always put common public in troubles.
Dennis, was very professional and so was Matt. Very upfront and honest from beginning to end. MileStone homes, are well built homes structures with clear and concise designs... I'm so very happy that I made the decision to call one of the MIleStone homes, my home. I feel happy, blessed and fortunate to have bought this home.. Yay!
Great experience. I love the neighborhood, the home and the responsiveness of their team. They jump on taking care of fixes.
Parents purchased a home from Milestone builders. Overall, the home is very nice and has some nicer features to it. The people from Milestone are overall very kind. However, there are things from the walkthrough that have yet to be fixed since a few months back. For example, a factory defective tub has been installed there with somehow nobody noticing this during the construction, and the only thing offered to fix the issue is to 'paint over it' even if it's glossed which from then on we feel could leave us more liable for the thing if it had issues later on. The only reason I say possibly avoid Milestone homes is because getting them to fix their mistakes can sometimes be like pulling teeth and very stressful if you already have a lot going on. A lot of these issues can fall in the consumers lap and waste a lot of time. Things are not all that professional when it comes to your warranty items or walkthrough items with Milestone. Had I known what I do now, I would have looked at other buildings as ideas for them. And at the time of this review, still no resolution on the tub issue and nobody has called back after the refusal for the tub paint. Feel like we are being bullied into accepting a resolution we don't want for an entirely new home or made to feel bad about it. So, until Milestone improves that, that's the reason for the 3 stars.
I will never buy a Milestone home. Their sales and construction staff are deceitful, and they do not stand by their word (or contracts). Choose another builder!
Just to start, my initial representative was Kacie Riley, whom we signed the contract with. Construction manager was Brian Patton; area manager was Benjamin Blanton and area sales manager was Hiran Vivek and Greg Miller was the Vice President of sales. Purchased a home by Milestone Community Builders. To start, I would like to say that a lot of interactions seemed to be well, initially, until the couple months before closing. We were told incorrect closing dates, and to get our 3rd party inspection completed on a particular date, completed on 1/13/2020. We got it completed, but the home wasn t even ready for the inspection. Inspection noted a lot of issues, including damaged roofing (torn and damaged shingles) and standing water present inside the gutter, in addition to debris and screws. Inspection report also noted incorrect insulation in the attic and lack of proper sealant present across the house. Unpainted lintels were also noted, which can facilitate the formation of rust. Some of the sealant around the garage trim was also lacking, allowing for water intrusion. A lot of gaps were observed in the mortar joints of the stone. There was even incomplete/damaged stucco on the front side of the house. A lot of places did not have proper closing of the gaps and INSECTS were seen in the holes during the initial home inspection. Lights were flickering, and proper covering of the pipes was also not done. This is just the start of the problems that existed. Then there was the BUYER WALKTHROUGH. Not the construction manager or his assistant showed up. A random person, whom I have never met, attempted to do the walkthrough. He had no idea about the house and could not even answer all of my questions. He didn t even bring enough tape and had to leave early, which was A WASTE OF TIME. Talked to Milestone, and they said everything will be done by the next inspection. 2 weeks after the first inspection 1/27/2020, inspection reported that 80% of the issues had not been fixed. Resent the report to the builder on the night of 1/27/2020, but they forced another buyer walkthrough on 1/29/2020, stating that the issues had been fixed. If they could not address the issues in 2 weeks, how would they address the issues in 1 day? Lo and behold, a lot of issues were not fixed and the Vice president of sales, Greg Miller, emailed saying home is complete, we expect people to close, we don t move so a inspector can go back out. He said he would hold the buyer in default if closing didn t happen on 1/31/2020 at 2pm. They did not address majority of the issues during the home inspection. The house failed the city inspection 2 times before finally being approved by the City of Cedar Park. The unprofessional attitude of Milestone Community Builders was exemplary and the poor quality of workmanship is something that Milestone, in my opinion, promotes. When picking up the keys, house was dirty and not cleaned from inside. Garage door was dirty and so were the outside lights. A lot of issues since moving, paint mess-ups, damaged window screen, lights still flickering, one main light fixture hanging below the ceiling and not fully attached. Some of the areas I walk in are squeaking and making noise. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend these builders. Its just sad that they own a lot of the good locations in the Austin region, and one would figure that since this is not a national builder and more of a local one, they would care about their reputation; but honestly, I found them to be very unprofessional. I am embarrassed for Milestone Community Builders and Garrett Martin to see what kind of homes are being built; this is a lifelong investment process and they have not cared for the people that they build houses for. They will take out the complete joy that one has for buying a house. On top of all this, I emailed Garrett Martin, Cofounder and CEO; HE DID not even offer the professional courtesy of a reply.
Milestone has been a great company to work with. I love my new home- it is just what a wanted. Every little problem (and there were only two little ones) was solved quickly and professionally. The home was finished early, in perfect condition and has been a joy to live in!
Nothing but lies from MileStone. They tried to NOT to fix anything from the walkthrough (removed all our blue tape) and said it was complete. Furthermore the builder stated to management that he had spoken to me and I was okay with all the issues, when he did NOT. Now all of our trees from the green space have been knocked down. This was guaranteed not to happen by our sales rep. Over 5 voicemails left and no response after 2 weeks. Go with someone else. Wish we would have.
My home is currently in the process of getting built, starting in April. Dean from Shadow Creek in Buda is amazing to work with. His kindness and honesty is what made us go with milestone. He is constantly in contact with us and giving updates. I will be back on here leaving a review once our home is ready (hopefully October.) Thank you Dean!!!

It shows how much they dont value there customers.
Working with Milestone Builders has been a very rewarding one. Although we started off with Shannon Allen, who is awesome, Brooke Munthe took over and has seen us through to our being very happy with Milestone. We have had a few warranty claims, but those has been addressed with flying colors. If you are interested in building, please see Brooke Munthe at Milestone Buiders.
I've been in my Milestone home for just over a year now. Overall, I am very happy with the house.
Recently bought a house from these people. To start off let me just say this was one of the worst experiences I have ever received . If I could go back in time I would warn any and everyone including my greatest enemy to stay far from these ppl. My house is a brand new house and the issues that I was assured that would of been taken care of by the warranty team was a straight up lie. These ppl should change their company name to Lie-stone Builders . I have been nothing but patient with these ppl for over months but when a brand new home become unbearable to stay in because you work so hard to get it you have to draw the line somewhere. Will surely be warning others about this company and the experience that they are in for. P.S You know this is a bad company when their own employees start to talk about all the bad shady things that company do.
We sold our big home on Lake Travis and needed something nearby to live until my son goes off to college. We found a Milestone home in West Cypress Creek that fit the bill, not on the best lost but we were a bit late to the party. The house is built well, the appliances are all stainless Whirlpool...it's just a nice home for the price. The staff was also good to work with, Jeff, our 'main man' came over when requested and was happy to help with whatever was needed. I'd use MileStone again in the future, just on a bigger lot :)
I bought a New home in June of 2013 overall I had a pretty good experience, buying a house is pretty exciting and stressful at the same time. Milestone and their lender worked with me to ensure everything fell in to place with the transition of having to be out of my rental house and into my new house by a certain date they came through with everything they said they would. The house is great, I felt we got a pretty good deal, and had a small issue with the sprinkler system but they fixed it quickly. I would recommend Milestone to a friend or family.
I am writing a review that may as well be a book. The company is poorly run with several misleading practices that in most states would constitute fraud. I'll update this review (with pics) upon their completion (or possibly not) of the warranty work that has dragged out for nearly a year. If you find a house in a completed community from Milestone, you may be ok since you'll know exactly what you are buying via an good inspection and can access their HOA meeting minutes to find out what disasters Milestone left them with (Ours is water main leaks and irrigation issues costing over 100k to homeowners, and they left community without building the gate to the 'Gated community'. The homes themselves are not necessarily the issue, its the added costs that you incur from their misrepresentations and incompetence. Hopefully I can post my final review after they complete the warranty work within next few years. Update: Regarding Milestone's response to this review, what exactly are they willing to do to fix the issues impacting the entire community, e.g. water leaks costing HOA over $100,000, no gate built for the gated community, and many others? I was a board member and we asked Milestone to address these issues only to be completely ignored. Same can be said for Goodwin Management company that is basically an arm of Milestone. Any Milestone community should immediately fire Goodwin as they have conflict of interest and will not pursue issues against Milestone for fear of losing their many contracts. Update 4/25/2019 We are still waiting on Milestone to do anything. By far the most incompetent and fraudulent company I've ever had interacted with. Update 9/6/2019 Any community currently under construction with Milestone needs to immediately read and remove as quickly as possibly any of the proxy board members (Milestone employees). You will likely uncover many conflicts of interest with them, the management company, senior management at Milestone, and any vendor currently under contract with the HOA. Make sure Milestone can't leave the community until they fulfill all contractual obligations and representations made to the community. Take audio recordings (with consent of course, and if they refuse then what comes out of their mouth next is likely a lie) of all conversations with any employee from Milestone as this will help later when your community has to file suit against them.
