There's no better ice cream in the East village the only issue is that they run out of flavors quite frequently

This is truly one of kind, a hip hop themed ice cream spot, in L.E.S of all places, Ha! Great.
Really good ice cream with a lot of fun and interesting flavors.
Ice cream is okay. A bit pricey and the ice cream wasn't smooth enough. A little "crystaly"
Spontaneously stopped in and was greeted by such friendly staff. The Southern Hospitality ice cream was amazing.
This place claims its open until 2 am. But we came here at 1:30 am and they were closed.
If you're going to get ice cream, it's best to do it right. Skip the store-bought stuff and go to Mikey's. The flavors change all the time, so it's hard to issue a specific recommendation. But the employees are patient and friendly; the flavors are original and diverse; and nothing with pralines in it has ever disappointed.
First, the customer service was fantastic! I didn t get the gentleman s name, but he was amazing. The quality of the vegan and diary ice cream was amazing. I will be sure to visit again
Update: umm the Southern Hospitality is my favorite ice cream! I have eaten 4 pints and I cannot wait go back for my 5th. This time, I ll be sure to try another ice cream lol
Average ice cream and the staff is not helpful or approachable.
This is a gem of a store that was launched by Mike Cole. There are many flavor options and also some pretty solid amazing flavor combos (like a red velvet waffle ice cream sandwich) that you will find very funny as they are inspired by pop culture and they will leave you satisfied. The price is pretty attractive as well. One of the best part is that it is open until midnight during the week and 2am during the weekends! You will want to visit at least once a month as he launches a "Flavor of the Month" the last one was "Material Girl" which was passion fruit ice cream with white chocolate kit kat and white fudge covered oreos!
I have yet to have a bad experience there - which is why I gave it a 5.
Ice cream was icey, not smooth and creamy, also was over priced
The Ice Cream was Amazing I recommend the Daddy Mac
Great unique flavors to choose from. It's not a sit down spot, so don't go with the intention of hanging out. Staff is always helpful and friendly..... and you're likely to run into and meet the owner Mikey!
So good. Their mint ice cream is divine and super fresh!
The minute i saw the look of the menu i was hooked. Hiphop themed ice cream...
Great Friendly staff. Bought their Ice Cream "Cookie Jar" Absolutely delicious & Dairy free. If you wanna try Great yummy Ice Cream, you gotta try Mikey Likes It Ice Cream. Small spot, Big hearts from the Owner & Staff. Definitely a Fan. Hands Down!!
I was in the mood for ice cream so I came here on a Thursday afternoon. They only had four flavors from their flavors list and the flavor of the month and some other random option. I sampled a few flavors and found them lacking flavor and just not sweet enough for me so I didn't purchase any. They also don't have any plain flavors such as chocolate and strawberry which I prefer. If you like ice cream with a lot of things mixed in, you might like this spot. I always like it when they also include the typical flavors along with the creative ones.
They offer a variety of creative flavors, I think there's something here for everyone
Locally-owned, thoughtful ice cream with creative flavors
This place is THE BEST! Go for the daddy mac with any flavor! My mind was most recently blown with their easter special- carrot cake waffle with cream cheese ice cream with carrot cake chunks! Went back in to just get another scoop in a moment of true bliss (and shame).
The ice cream is great, they just need to make bigger batches they are always running out. I use to go there weekly to buy 2 pints but after so may wasted trips I stopped.
Delicious ice cream. I especially like the flavor of the month
Hours showed the location as open but when we showed up -- it was closed :(
The ice cream decoration is incredible, definitely and social media post.
The flavor of the ice cream itself is good but the best part is when you get to the cone which is seems to be like a churro/donut which is amazing.
The place is great inside but you can enjoy outside at day or night.
Very friendly owner. Really nice and delicious ice cream with a nice vibe in the place.
These guys are always friendly and serve you quickly. I won't go anywhere what for a milkshake!
I loved the red velvet ice cream . It was so amazingly magical . I would marry it if I could !
The ice cream was a but frozen. Mikey did not approve
Ice cream is awesomr but the staff is better the young man that opened the store today found my phone on the bench outside then returned it when i called and refused to take a reward!!!!
Thanks mikey u got good people
This is the go to spot for ice cream in the whole city !!! Hands down!!!
Even though they were closed for a sidewalk repair, they insisted on giving us some ice cream. It was truly the best ice cream we have ever had by far. What a great sense of community. Thank you Mikey likes it we will be back!
Very nice place, great owner, variety of quality flavors
Omg homemade ice cream, open late , black owned .... Absolutely brilliant .,. Oh and the Southern hospitality ice cream... You'll never be the same!!!
The ice cream was okay , the service i received was far from professional . I wouldnt really recommend them . Im very upset i had to leave this review because i had very high hopes and loved what mikey was doing helping others . But disappointed to say the least .
They offer different flavors that you won't find anywhere else! Highly recommended!
Small venue. But the important part is the product. Which is amazing . Love the ice cream and waffles. The best part about it is the culture that the store brings with it. You hear classic notorious B.I.G. , Jay-Z , Nas, etc.
It gives the good feeling of New York, the home of Hip Hop. Not to forget the cool names that come with the ice cream as well
The Ice Ice Baby was amazing! Great customer service!! Got a chance to talk to owner and get a selfie. Love supporting black owned businesses!!
Worst ice cream shop ever! My pregnant girlfriend was craving this spot so we decided to drive from dyckman to the LES location, but before we took the drive she insta message them on iG to make sure the close at 10 (which they did a promotion post twice in one day on IG that they close at 10) and they replied yes, come through so come through we did! We get their at 8:50 which took us less than 20mins From the time we spoke on dm till we got their and to our surprise it was closed with the gate down!! We replied again to the dm and their reply was, sorry had something to do never would we ever go to this place again!!! Most unprofessional experience we ever had to deal with!!!
Great combination of flavors, always friendly service. Love this place.
The ice cream here is good but the base is a little icy and less creamy than I was expecting but the flavors are fun. Southern hospitality is butter pecan ice cream with praline pecans is definitely worth trying. The server was also very friendly and was nice about letting me sample EVERY SINGLE FLAVOR (yes, I'm that person).
Always come for ice-cream, it's always perfectly yummy. I have ordered the food from time to time and it's all good too.
Tried the red velvet waffle with snicker ice cream was AMAZING. I think eveything here is awesome
this was not cheap, $8.70 for two scoops and the hot waffle. worth it.
Amazing story behind the man, ice-cream out of this world!! . Walked for 1 hour to get there and it was worth it. Loved it
Did the 2 scoop (1 of cookies &cream &1 of vanilla) which was about $10. I also tried the cookie dough which I enjoyed the most! Would go back to try the rest of the flavors. They even have a monthly themed ice cream
i havent come here yet but soon ill come here and meet yall and eat some ice cream +u+
Yummy. Love their creative names and flavors of the month. Owners story is pretty great to hear too.
Great guy. Helps the community and had the best ice cream.
The waffle sandwich with any of the ice creams in the middle are definitely worth having (especially the red velvet), and I love the flavor of the month clock on the wall, so genius
The only place I go to in NYC for ice cream! The blue velvet ice cream waffle sandwiches are phenomenal!
Sooooooooo this place is closed due to seizure for unpaid taxes...
Good and amazing ice cream had everything I wanted the service was amazing the prices are incredibly reasonable I was so happy when I got my ice cream i could not have ask for anything better then that I appreciated they took time and got order right
I walked about 30 minutes to get here as a way to exercise and the ice cream was my treat lol. The young man behind the counter was VERY welcoming and recommended a great combination of flavors . The walk there and back was worth it . The ice cream was delicious
The ice cream looked CRAZY! The names alone freaked me out & I just walked out because there was just no way that I could get jiggy with their variety of flavors. Not knocking it, but they're not for me......
I almost never write reviews for food spots but I was blown away by this place. First off, the ice cream is amazing. Its really damn good. But the service puts the excellent ice cream to shame. The general manager is amazing. He was so generous, and insisted on us trying a large variety of flavors with HUGE samples. Such a nice guy who cares deeply about the business. We could have sworn he was the owner. We were blown away. Fantastic spot.
Went for the first time yesterday and it was delicious!! It's a small shop with a lot of flavors. I got the Mac Daddy (we got red velvet waffles) with Dough boy flavor and it was so delicious. The guy working there was super friendly and accommodating (didn't get his name) I would definitely come back here again!
Small double scoop for $10 dollars. Go elsewhere. Much better ice cream shops around nyc.
Absolutely delicious! Fun atmosphere and delicious waffles. Highlight of my visit.
The hotter it gets the more ice cream you need to stay cool!!!! So I decided to visit this establishment to get my ice cream on. I came a day too early because the place was not open for outdoor seating yet but Mikey said seat here and order what you like and ill give it to you. I really appreciated that he stopped and served us even though the doors were closed to walk-in. The customer service has made me so happy.
I had the Foxy Brown and my companion had the Southern Hospitality. I couldn't wait to take pics and was digging in to my pint before i even made it to the car lol. I love caramel and chocolate cookie wafers. The creaminess of the ice cream was perfect. I can't wait to grab another pint.
I appreciated the customer service even more because I was walking around Manhattan looking for open outdoor dining establishments to try with little to no luck. Mikey's is opening its door this week so I look forward to eating my ice cream on that iconic bench.
Thank you Mikey for making my day so bright!!!!
