I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, unless you don't have a problem with how unprofessional they are. One of the woman who work there (whose name I cant remember) was not only giving my mother and I attitude, but was impatient with me when THE DOCTOR messed up my perscription. The doctor is friendly/talkative which I didn't have a problem with. Until she continuously kept repeating her mistake in which eye needed more prescription even after I repeatedly corrected her. Then they had trouble finding that I had put money down on my contacts already even though I had a handwritten receipt and continued to give attitude. I can't even get my glasses evened out without recieving attitude. Once I get my corrected glasses and contacts, never will I go there again.

This place is the most unprofessional eye clinic I have ever seen. I only came here because they took my insurance. Even the employee working there told me that some of the frames they carry are counterfeit. I had to ask her "are these Knock offs"? and she would look inside the arm of the eye wear and tell me "yes" or "no". How much Guetto can you get?
When I finally decided on a frame she kept rolling her eyes at me and did not make eye contact. I asked for my prescription & called my insurance so I could get my eye wear at another Optical that took my insurance. Luckly there was a place nearby on 65th & Kedzie that was beautiful & even carried original Christian Dior. NEVER COMING BACK TO MIDWEST EYE CLINIC EVER!

Unprofessional....Rudness since opening the door...Not even a one star they deserve. If the ladies working up front don't like their job they shouldn't be there. I don't know how to call them I myself work in the healthcare industry and never seen worst.

Horrible customer service before you even walk in the door. I called to schedule an appt, as my insurance listed them as an approved provider. The person taking my call informs me they only accet PPO'S; I ask her to verify. Nope, HMO's too.

I get a call a day before my appt. that it needs to be rescheduled due to Dr.'s emergency. I just showed up for my rescheduled appointment, and was told I'd have to wait an hour to an hour and a half before the doctor even showed up for previously scheduled appointments.

I wanted to support a local business, and should have checked the reviews on here tbh. I won't be rescheduling my appt, and will make sure to discourage folks from even attempting to get an appt.

I used to love this eye clinic! But my last visit was completely unacceptable! I won t be returning next year. I had an appointment on a Saturday at 12pm and didn t get seen until 2:15pm. I asked the receptionist what was taking so long and she replied patients were asking the doctor a lot of questions. I found out when I did get seen that just wasn t true. We see the doctor and he sits there and look at me without saying anything and then I asked him to start because I had other things to do and my son needed to be seen as well. He starts and then takes a break and start talking to me about his wife and kids. He then asks me about my Apple Watch. I then try to redirect the conversation to our eyes and he takes a long pause and just start sitting there and staring at me. Without trying to be rude, I ask him if he s ready to see my son. He replies yes and sits there and stare at him. Luckily his assistant came in and interrupted to try and speed up the process. I eventually had to ask the receptionist if my son had an astigmatism because the doctor failed to mention anything about his vision. Long story short- we won t be returning!

This place is HORRIBLE and the so-called assistant manager, Lorena/Morena had God fighting for her TODAY! Liz was very nice and needs to go to find a job in a REAL eye clinic. Yessenia who did my daughter s eye exam didnt know what she was doing or couldn t articulate what was needed to be said. They CLAIM my daughter is farsighted with an astigmatism but she can see things thats are close; it was the smaller objects that were a problem. The so-called doctor wasn t coherent and was mad when I questioned why HE had an attitude. The man was directing ALL questions to my 4-year-old daughter! Are you kidding me?! Not ONLY does this place need to be closed down but Lorena/Morena had her friend come in to assist and she didnt even work there!! We ll see how good those cameras work honey because that s all kind of HIPAA violations!! They wasted the RIGHT person s time! I do NOT play when it comes to my child. And check this out; the doctor became more upset when I didn t allow him to put eyedrops in my daughter s eyes. PLEASE!

I would not recommend this eye doctor to anyone. ...

I would not recommend this eye doctor to anyone. They are unprofessional and unsanitary. I visited it with my daughter in June (trying to support our local businesses)their computer systems were done because they were upgrading. The girls at the front do most of the eye exam and the equipment may be old school but wiping it done with a Kleenex and alcohol does not disinfect it. Nobody uses hand sanitizer after each patient. Not only did I get attitude when I went to pick up my glasses but the response I got from the young lady when I asked a question was mmmhmm. I finally got a word when I asked again if their system was up and running and could I pay with a credit card. The female eye doctor is friendly but she needs to focus on what she is doing, she got my daughters prescription wrong for the glasses and contacts. The doctor has to listen to her patient's especially when I kept repeating I speak English and she kept speaking to me in Spanish. I appreciate that she try's because it's mostly Latinos that go there. I believe it was a great office once but it has gone downhill since it gotten new owners. Professionalism ,common courtesy and respect is required when you work in a field dealing with patients, customers or any area dealing with people. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hello, I never got serviced here at clinic. But I did stop in to inquire about their glasses. I've been going to Vision Salon in Blue Island, ILLINOIS. I've been going to them for years. And I also go to The UIC eye and ear and throat infirmary on west Taylor street and Eye Institute on Michigan. The ear, ear and throat infirmary discovered that my daughter had a whole on her retina and they had to do a laser surgery with the ophthalmologist. They have Optometrist and ophthalmologist. They have a pediatrics eye doctor especially geared for kids. They saved my daughters sight, she was seeing alot of floaters. UIC also have a dentist school there but I took my daughter to get wisdom teeth pulled. I got back teeth pulled there. But I usually go to dental dream in blue island I always ask for a woman dentist they seem more attentive.

I ordered contacts and was told how many months they were for. Then told me I had to pay, I did so and understood everything I was told. Months after months I never received a call from them. It was urgent I got them and still is because my contact has been stuck in my eye for 3 days already. I have a busy life therefore I m up a lot but the fact that I haven t received any information from them is bad. My eye sight is going bad

A real unprofessional location.

A real unprofessional location.
My wife had an appointment at said time. As always, she likes to be 15 mins early to her appointments. No problem right? Well, we get there and they say the doctor won t arrive until an hour later from her appointment time. After waiting close to two hours, they let her know he won t be showing up. That s pure ridiculous. They could ve easily said, sorry but he won t come in and reschedule instead of wasting our time. During the time we waited, we could ve gone somewhere else to get serviced.

As I sat there, I watched how they treated the patients coming in. It was really sad. We definitely will not come back.

Last summer of last year I went inside the clinic ...

Last summer of last year I went inside the clinic and I took my brother to the clinic and he had an appointment with one of the doctors. The doctors said he needed specific glasses in order to see better at school and at home. They told him he had very bad eyesight and that he needed to wear them every single day. Until one month after he wore the glasses he said his head hurt a lot more than it usual did. So I took him to another clinic to see why it hurts his head and the doctor said he s fine it s the glasses that s the problem it caused him to lost his eyesight a little and have headache problems. The doctor said he didn t need the glasses ever and that it was a bad choice to get him glasses there. So I recommend to be careful what glasses you get for you or someone. I don t recommend going to this clinic.

The store hours say they close at 5:30 on Saturday. I get there at 2:00pm to pick up my glasses in they talking about we closed then y'all need to change the store hours that y'all have posted. This will be my last time getting my glasses from them out of all the people. They have working there you mean to tell me there is only one person who knows how to look up the names in the computer. I guess the rest of them are just sitting ducks being a watcher not a learner.

Receptionists were friendly to me on EACH occasion and visit. Never had issue with insurance or billing so Im not sure what all these neg reviews are about. understand that the place gets busy with all the Medicaid and Medicare people so waiting is expected.

I took my children here for an eye exam a few days...

I took my children here for an eye exam a few days ago. Part of the paperwork includes a document stating that a privacy policy was given to the patient for review. You must sign this document agreeing that the policy was in fact given to you. I never received this policy so I did not sign the document. As we move on to get the kid's eyes checked I'm noticing that the lady at the front desk is doing everything the eye doctor should be doing. She's actually completing the exam but isn't writing anything down. I asked if the actual eye doctor could come in and was told he would handle the second part of the exam. My children and I were told to wait upfront. After 20 minutes of waiting I went to see where the doctor was. A receptionist pretended to be calling him on the phone and stated the doctor wasn't answering. She suggested that we reschedule. This was a complete waist of time and these people are beyond unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.

I would not recommend this eye clinic to anyone. I made an appointment and with the initial conversation told the receptionist I understood that the appointment was not covered under my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket. The clinics receptionist(s) called me a total of 6 times in a two day period to remind me that my insurance didn t cover the visit. I was then told again when I went in for my appointment. That makes a total of 7 times.

When I actually saw the doctor, he diagnosed me with Keratoconus disease, sympathized with my condition, and let me know he would do everything in his power to help me. He made it appear that contact lenses would not help me and told me that I should go straight for surgery. (Cross linking) okay, fine. He asked me to give him a week and he would contact a specialist he knows who works with Keratoconus. I completely understand the concept of old school medicine and recommending patients to specialist you know will do their best, so I said okay. A week passed and I called the clinic to see what my next steps would be and no one could tell me anything. I called dillegently for a month and each time it appeared the receptionist become slightly more irritated with me calling and requesting the information I was promised by the medical professional. (They didn t have an issue with ensuring I could pay for my appointment 7 times). My last attempt the receptionist tried to schedule me an appointment with their office in which she told me Our doctors are good! You will have a long wait time though because he spends more time with regular patients. But he is a good doctor.

At this point I decided just to go somewhere else. In one weeks time I was able to see the specialist I needed and get the contacts that would work for me.... because they can work for me. On my way home from my new specialist; Midwest eye clinic calls me to let me know, a month later, Dr. Jackson was not able to get contact with his specialist friend. The assistant asked if I found another doctor to go to and advised me to use my medical insurance for whomever I will be seeing for my disease..

Don t go to this clinic.
