About Middlesex Deputy Sheriff Association
The Middlesex Deputy Sheriff Association is a non-profit organization that works in collaboration with the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Reserve to provide a body of pre-screened and approved members of our community to assist the Middlesex Office in time of need. The association is dedicated to serving the community by providing support and assistance to law enforcement agencies, promoting public safety, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The Middlesex Deputy Sheriff Association was established with a mission to promote public safety through education, training, and community outreach programs. The association has been serving the community for many years by providing support services such as traffic control, crowd management, search and rescue operations, disaster response services, and other emergency services.
One of the primary objectives of the association is to provide training opportunities for its members. Members are trained in various areas such as first aid/CPR/AED certification courses; firearms training; defensive tactics; emergency vehicle operation; search techniques; crowd control techniques; incident command system (ICS); hazardous materials awareness level training (HAZMAT); crisis intervention team (CIT) training among others.
The association also provides an opportunity for its members to participate in various community outreach programs. Members participate in events such as National Night Out Against Crime where they interact with residents on crime prevention strategies. They also participate in charity events like food drives or toy drives during holidays.
In addition to supporting law enforcement agencies within their jurisdictional boundaries, members also assist other agencies during times of natural disasters or emergencies outside their jurisdictional boundaries. This includes assisting neighboring counties or states when called upon.
