Midas Hotel and Casino Review

This is the best hotel in the area. I'm a frequent visitor there and it's an awesome place.

Good food and accomodaion, possible smoke only in casino

Sad, there's no swimming pool. But the hotel's really nice and v clean.

The bathroom is terrible for the price.
The shower lever is broken, drainage is bad.
It seems that not only the room where I stayed but other things were the same.

Visited the Hotel on a work visit. The room was quite spacious with a veranda to boot. Furthermore, nearly every major stops as well as 24/7 stores in the capital is a short walk or hop away even with all the traffic.

Great staff...clean room at a great price. Will stay here again

Had a great time staying in this hotel. Great food and service. The staff are very courteous and accommodating. They attend to my inquiries and request with no hassle. The hotel also offers free shuttle ride going to MOA. Definitely coming back.

What a scam. I made a review in July and gave this hotel a 3 star but I'd give it a negative 3 now if I could. I booked through Expedia, we have tried to get in contact with them via phone and email but no one is picking up or replying to the emails. I stayed in July and they promised my deposit would be return 7 to 10 business day and it's been 3 months. Have somebody contact me and return my money!

My family really enjoys staying here. It is close to everthing and they have free shuttles to the SM Malll of Asia. There is no swimming pool and the fitness center is a bit average. The food is better than average, nice bakery and coffee shop in lobby, the service is excellent and friendly.

A friend of mine recommended this hotel. My husband made the reservation for me. When I arrived to check in, they want me to pay cash and in full amount right away., that s right, in full amount! I never stayed in hotel where you pay first, I even asked the lady, what if I stay there for more than 4 days? She quickly answered, well you have to pay the full price of that amount in cash up front! Are you kidding me??? I didn t see those people/ guests in front of me paying cash!!! I was about to leave but I don t want to get charged with stupid fees. So i end up going to the ATM machine downstairs and withdraw pesos. I was embarrassed and frustrated how I was treated. But never again, I d rather stay somewhere nice and expensive as long as they will treat me right.

The room was very cozy. The attendants were very polite. They were prompt with our requests. It was indeed a relaxing and great experience

Stable hospitality and restaurants are also near the airport, and it's a waste for business use

Apr 12, 2019. I booked a suit expecting a good facility. The bathroom is full of defects and the tub is too small. The bedroom AC is soo hot the temperature is showing 24 whil the thermostat is set to 15 degrees Celsius.
The corridor ceiling is too low my head almost hit it.
TV selection is too poor most of the channels are local language.
Curtains dont close fully i couldnt sleep in day time.
No central light switch and i had to put my hand inside the lamp to have it turned on/off. There are 2 tiny water bottles for you in the room as complimentary and it's not enough to have a sip.
There is no view from the balcony.
And when it was time to check out they asked me to wait for someone to go check the mini bar and then they can release me and my luggage, aren't we over with this already? Why do i pay a deposit if i will still have to wait?

I am a accredited tour guide who wants to talk to my guest whom i checked in...but the telephone operator says it is not allowed for security reasons... It is an important message that i need to relay on my guest....telephone operator says that he will not connect my call because i do not know the room number of the guest...but i give him the full name of my guest....i don't know what is the logic behind of not connecting my call.....it is my guest and it is just a phone call.....

Great quality stay with great service. Do try out the in room massage, at this price it's a steal. Best value massage ever! Only negative is the smoking smell that fills the lobby and lifts.

At the very beginning of the stay the hotel definitely impresses. The treatment you get from people here is nice, they genuinely care about taking care of you and service is pretty good. Then on the second day room service came and didn't clean the sheets on the bed. They never came with the waters we asked for multiple times. Along with that the restaurant they have on the 2nd floor is 3rd class at best. Do not get the ceaser salad, the dressing isn't ceaser, but a sweet mayonnaise. The steak they charge almost 80$ USD not the greatest cooked. It felt like an amateur was cooking and afraid to mess it up. I wish I could go in the back and show them how to properly cook it. The breakfast that is complementary was a 3 out of 10. Eggs cold sitting out, bacon cold under a lamp. The only thing worth eatting was the sliced Pineapple. We never had our coffee cups changed out or toilet paper restocked. The reason why the 2 stars and not 1 was because of the attitude of the people working. They are trying hard, its just difficult when standards are not in place. For the amount of money it cost, just spend a little extra and go to a Hilton or a 5 star hotel.

First time to stay at Midas & Casino Hotel together with my husband and son before going back to Europe. Beautiful hotel but when we supposed to have some dinner at 21 and get some food at the meat section table we found a cockroach crawling beside sa table. I Dont have think about the hygiejne is enough! Very disgusting. So We will never try MiDas hotel again.
But the staff are nice.

The Hotel admins actually are looking at their Google rating.. well that's a good sign they take user experience to improve. Went here to play some roulette but most of the machines are not well maintained. They have a good number of slot machines and table games as well as regular players. Hope to see the roulette machines up and running again.

Hotel is nice but casino needs work. The floor is like walking on water bed. I was afraid that soon floor will give in and I be falling down. Never eat food in casino bar. They need to update their policies. If there is hotel guest asking for drink and wants charges on room, never bring charges bill before serving food or drinks. They were keep on bringing bill for each drink I was ordering. I had to get manager involved but still happened again (different waiter). They need to train all waiters on opening tab for hotel guests.

This hotel is ideally located, close to the airport, the mall of Asia and from other parts of the city. My stay at Midas was outstanding, the room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and always willing to help. The hotel also offers great food options. I would like to extent my gratitude to Chef Ronald, who made the experience truly remarkable.
I would look forward to stay at Midas anytime again

We went for the buffet. Honestly, I recommend using the eatigo app and reserve there to get a maximum 50% discount that results in 1044 per pax as of the time of writing (despite the disclaimer about service charge and taxes the quoted discounted price is indeed what you will get). The selection isn't as large as those from the likes of vikings or buffet101, but it makes up for the lack of variety with the quality. It's recommended to make use of of their cooking services because they actually produce fresh, well-seasoned seafood, and the meats are soft (not rubbery like most cheaper buffets). They also have a Mongolian stop like service that cooks rice or noodles based on the toppings you select for them to cook. The desserts are really good. The dark chocolate mini pastry was very balanced, moist. The Almond jelly is a huge step up from the Chinese restaurant desserts you would normally get. They also provide good twinnings branded tea (add milk and syrup from the halo-halo bar to make really good milk tea). Coffee left me wanting sadly, but it's probably one of the only downsides for the money.

It is small, easy to play, and easy to understand next to the Japanese embassy. The hotel name is locally-named Midas Hotel.

I did not stay at another hotel in Manila, so I can not say for sure, but I personally do.

Rooms were good.
But food was really really bad and mahal.

Rooms are neat and spacious, with comfortable beddings. Love the japanese buffet restaurant.

The hotel is outdated, the faucets in the bathroom do not work. It is difficult to wash. Repair is urgently needed. Casino is usual. Nothing remarkable. Breakfast is good.
In 2018 we stayed here again for the night, nothing has changed
We took a room with a balcony for smokers, but this year you can't smoke at all
It s boring to go to the casino on the second floor, where you can broadcast an ax with nothing to breathe
The hood does not work well.
I understand that it is not decent to smoke in the room, but why then balconies?
Next time just another hotel

Firstly, expect a little-more-than-short walk if you plan on self-parking your vehicle as the parking lot is at the back of the hotel. Though if you don't mind the effort, the walk to the front desk is quite a mystical experience, trust me. Generally, facilities are clean, though a little dated, as this used to be a Hyatt property. The oriental art finish on the room floor walls may be tacky for some. Staff are courteous and engaging. Rates are a bit overpriced, but justifiable if you take into account the accessibility of the hotel to malls and the airport ( there's even a hospital next door).

A pretty good hotel. I want to stay here in Manila. Double room on the 4th floor. The facilities are good. the breakfast is complete. lots of food khalal. close to mall of Asia too.

Me and my friend arrived at Hotel at exactly 7:00pm and we headed to the 2nd floor of the hotel where the restaurant of Midas Hotel is located. Upon arriving at the receptionist of the Restaurant I showed her the confirmed reservation of our dinner then someone assisted us to our table.

This Buffet offers limited food selections compared to other hotels that offers the same promo.

The area which I love the most is the carving station, their US Beef Striploin Steak is at its best,superb.

Overall the experience is good.

They gave us a room that I had not booked it was very disturbing there were stains on the carpet and it reacked of stale cigarette smoke as well the A/C did not work after calling Orbitz to cancel and book us a different hotel they refused to cancel and finally after that gave us the room I had initially booked. The security staff was extremely rude on multiple occasions.

We stayed here for a week during our vacation in the Philippines on April 2018. Good size bedroom, good view from the balcony, close to Mall of Asia and airport. Its along Roxas Boulevard and its in between the Japanese Embassy and a big hospital. The room is spacious and clean. Its along a major road but we barely hear the cars at night. Downside is they do not have that much parking space and no pool. But hey, not a big deal for us! Oh, I almost forgot, We love the breakfast buffet and the staff! Thanks Midas!

Their Japanese restaurant serves proper Japanese food!

The Midas Cafe Breakfast Buffet has a wide array of dishes. Breakfast starts at 6am to 10am. Their pastries are ao heavenly for one with a sweet appetite
The 2702 Lounge features a beautiful siren in the evening

The rooms have enough space for one to move around, TV has a wide selection of channels. Check in comes with complimentary water, bedroom slippers, laundry bag, shoebags, shoe wipe.
Business Meetings are a blast. Function rooms are spacious, with prepares notepads and pencils. With provision of coffee, tea and water. Lunch, snacks and Dinner menus are delicious
Location is very accessible. On a walking distance to SM Mall of Asia.

Interior design is good but event hall is not a good place for an event. Very low ceiling.

Very good location, with modern facilities, helpful concierge, great food, and amazing view at sunset lounge.
