Mid-Ohio FoodBank Review

Take time to donate when you can. You may be surprised at how this will make your day. Imagine if you didn't have the things you NEEDED! Wouldn't you still work as hard as you can, but also appreciate someone who took the time out for something you need? Someone even needed diapers. Donate when you can. I may buy groceries quarterly to donate.

People were friendly but a lot of the dairy and fruit productswe got were expired by months should check the dates before donating food so people dont get food posing

Great place for help with grocery. Opening time varies.

We didn't get any Pho so I can't get to go to bed hungry again for a second night the lines were too long and the lady said it be 30 minutes when we got back out there after 30 minutes there were more numbers added to it so I just said forget it we waited over an hour

Great service only downside is a long wait but it is worth it. Served by color coded cards with numbers for a smooth shopping experience. The volunteers are extremely helpful. If taking the bus there is no sidewalk to the building you have to walk in the street.

This place is all about helping you. They even helped me apply for food stamps. You get to pick your food. And I promise you will walk out with meals to feed your family. Awesome staff. Be sure to get there early.

I thank God for Mid-Ohio Foodbank! I was down and out dealing with worker's comp and I had no food! I couldn't get food stamps at that time so I really needed help!
When I called 211 they told me a few choices, but none worked for me because I needed to get a ride to go, and Mid-Ohio Foodbank was the only one that had late time so that's where I went!
Now, I hadn't been to a food pantry in over 20 years. So when I first got in there and realized how the Foodbank had changed, I was WOWED! The fresh produce that they offered, the bread and even the meat I was literally shocked and I begin to cry. The lady consoled me because I was overwhelmed but more so I was GRATEFUL for the help of Mid-Ohio Food Bank and their employees/ volunteers because they were so polite, they were so warming and they touch my heart as I was going through a difficult time in my life.
I remember the saying that the great late Dr. Maya Angelou said

And I tell you what, on that given day when I went to the food bank I will never forget how LOVED every person at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank made me feel!
Now, if you are reading this and you are in need of food please go because they will fill your refrigerator and most of all they will fill your spirit with love!While inviting you into a charitable organization that helps you and imparts love into those that come through their DOORS. for all you jerks posting reviews complaining about the food, GET A JOB so you wont have to go here, why are you being ungrateful?? ITS FREE FOOD, what do you expect? They make you wait outside because it gets so packed inside that its better to wait outside so it doesn't get cramped up in there. If you don't want to wait outside in 90 degree weather then i suggest you wake up at the crack of dawn so you can be one of the first people to get there. For the person complaining about the turkey sausage because you have to feed 7+ people, AT LEAST THEY GAVE YOU SOMETHING, what are you trying to feed, AN ARMY????. Get a cookbook at the library with recipes for turkey sausage, im pretty sure thats also free... And for the guy complaining about the free food they gave him and his girlfriend, why dont you go to an work agency so you dont have to be putting your lady in that situation. I get it life sometimes happens, but dont act like ENTITLED spoiled immature adults, they are trying to help you. Be grateful. Jesus Christ people, you expect Gordon Ramsay quality food for free, theres a crackle barrel down the road for $11.99 all you can eat steak, okay..... The staff has always been nice since ive been here a couple of times. I give 5 stars for the friendly staff and to the hot guy in the front desk, keep doing great things! :D

It is a warehouse sponsor by Kroger they feed the hungry people in Ohio on low income it is the way of Kroger's giving back to the community and their workers

We've volunteered a few times with the mid Ohio food bank before and we get to have fun and give back to the community. They make everything really easy!

Have been there a few times the people are very nice . You go home with a lot of food veg's eggs, just like going to the store It is a blessing to have it in Grove city. Thanks a bunch

This place was great. Its a little out of my way, but the selection was better than some of the other FREE markets. The staff was very helpful and non discretionary. Organized and clean.

Dont go here very often but love this pantry. Tip get there early so u can get a good number and better selection on what they have to offer.
