Mid-Ohio FoodBank Review

The work that is done at Mid Ohio feeds many families in need in the central Ohio area.Volunteering here makes me feel I am doing a little to give back to our wonderful community.

Show up 45+ minutes early to cut down on your wait time, they do get VERY busy. It's like going to a grocery store with the shelving, options, refrigerators and freezers. You can do a full shop once a month( everything ) then a few times a month you can go get some produce (fruit, veggies, and bread) They are very nice and helpful people

Really appreciated the staff here. Met many with a smile and they were helpful and efficient. Definitely had good attitudes and good effort. What a blessing to be able to get a cartful of groceries

I love this place so helpful are the people. You go shopping and pick out what you want. They don't have much meat but you can have as much bread,muffins and bagels as you want. Eggs are available and milk if you get there early. Lots of produce depending on season but beware some of it may need to be eaten right away. Great people that volunteer and they take everything to your vehicle.

Delivered some rejected cookies, they where very fast, friendly and truck friendly.

I have to hand it to Mid-Ohio Foodbank. They do an incredible job providing amazing service to people in need with smiles...

You get a good, nutritional, Mk combination of food at this pantry. 5 star quality

The supervisor tonight was very disrespectful to an african american woman, cause she asked about some lettuce and threatened her with banning her cause she didn't speak thecwayvhe wanted her to. Racist attitude.
I have seen one of the main workers talk to consumers of a different race with disrespect and it was ok for her to do so. Nobody thinks lie the other and they make people feel like they are giving their own food away and demand respect when they don't do the same.

Awesome place. Nice people. Could open doors so you don't wait out in the cold. They do have shopping where they shop for you.

Got me in, empty and out no problem. No Overnight Parking! Friendly people.

You are treated like a person should be treated- fairly and compassionately and basically are allowed to shop for yourself by picking your own items out from each grouping available at thr time of your visit which in my opinion is fantastic since it means there wont be adfitional food waste by giving out items the recipient would never use anyway.

This is like a grocery store and they two sides at this location. One you go in and shop yourself the other side isthe express shopping were they pick out items and bring them to your car. This is run with excellent organizion and customer service.

So thankful for MidOhio Food Bank Kroger center. This was my first visit. I came home with enough produce to share with other seniors here in my community. Everyone was happy. The process was simple. Plenty of volunteers were available to make everything go efficiently and quickly. Thank you

I just think the Mid-Ohio Foodbank is so accommodating when it comes to giving rides to people that have low income through the lift company there's so many different foods and people are so friendly I'm so appreciative for all the food that I get from this pantry.

This place is a total blessing I am very thankful to God and he has angels on this Earth

My first visit, it was worth the 2 hour wait. I got a nice ham, potatoes, produce. Nice people there.

I usually go on the weekdays but went on Saturday and later than the time I usually go and I feel like it was a waste of my time and gas they don t let you pick your own and I only got about three things I would use. Still a big help and I m thankful for it just won t go on a Saturday again.

This place is amazing! Everyone is extremely nice & helpful. If you use the express, it literally only takes about 15-20 minutes.

This is a wonderful food pantry. The people are helpful and friendly. You need to make sure to bring a photo id, proof of income, and a utility bill in your name. Once a month is a full shopping and the other three weeks are produce shopping only. The hours on line are correct. It's best to show up 15 minutes early.

One of the best food pantries in the city. It's worth a trip each and every time.You never know what you are going to get there but it's always good stuff.

A great place if you need help with food..you get a full shop once a month. Then you can shop once a week for produce and bread.

it helped me out a lot they didn't exactly have what I wanted but is I got more than what I had I am grateful for that

Don't be ashamed of getting food if you need it. The volunteers are warm and welcoming and non judgemental. Even the people waiting in line with you are somewhat friendly.

I only needed my ID - no other documentation.

However, some people need to keep their kids from running around all over the place. It seems every person that was there with kids tonight was incapable of telling them to sit down somewhere and stop banshee screaming. Some were even throwing rocks!

Go inside and get a number when you get there. Get there early! They call people by groups of 20.

They have a wide variety of whole foods - no junk like candies, cookies and pop - like wheat cereal, fruit, veg, milk, eggs, etc.

You can do a full shop once a month where you get to pick from everything. Some items are marked unlimited so can take as much as you want. Like a decent person, I'm sure you'll only get the amount which you truly need.

Some fruits are VERY ripe but dont worry. Cut them up and freeze or cook right away for these items. Dont pass on them.

They do have a VERY small area for free pet food as well.

The food pantry in Grove City is supposed to open at 4:00pm on Wed. based on the info published in the Mid Ohio Food Bank website. Today there was a line of people waiting outside before 4pm, including kids and babies in 30 degree weather. And we all found out while there that they actually open at 5:30pm. I simply left. Many of the others decided to stay in line for another 2 hours.

Good place to get food when you need it just wish they had more selection on meats

U make an appointment for a full shop.u go in, all u get is a pk of sauges and a bunch of fruits and veggies.sorry but that's not a dinner.not even for a child

I had an excellent experience volunteering here. The staff was great, and care about what they do.

Great resource, but to fairly meet the many in need the wait for first numbers and then for goods available is usually hours.

Our family needed food. We went and were served. Learned to really check the produce. But the service was excellent.

Volunteering here was a great experience. I was impressed by the efficiency of their entire operation.

Shares their stock with neighborhood pantries, too.

They restock on Sat so you don't get to pick your items but I think we got more than normal and ALOT of meat. It went pretty smooth and took under an hour from getting the number to leaving. They didn't have any bread today but everyone was really nice.

I really can't say much as work here. Friendly coworkers and always help each other.
