A nice place to go if you're interested in anything about Microsoft or if you want to buy some Microsoft branded stuff. They have an exhibit of all the current Microsoft products and you can generally experience everything on offer. It also gives a great history about Microsoft. Also kids can get their own Future employee Microsoft badges if you ask at the reception.

In July 2018, my daughter and I toured here through the Take a tour service that had been ordered a few weeks before.

This tour service is very nimble and the transportation is quite comfortable.

We stayed at the Red Lion Inn Suites Federal Way and were picked up by the Take a Tour van to get to the Microsoft Visitor Center which was about 31 miles (36 minutes trip).

At this Visitor Center, visitors can see the products being developed through a computer provided at Vision Center.

Visionaries can visit this place freely without time constraints.

a place not worth traveling to visit but unless of it is on your way. There is nothing much to watch here except if you are a die hard Microsoft fan and want to buy all goodies with Microsoft logos.

Very cool experience to see the Microsoft campus and they have a great store with tons of memorabilia. Would have loved a bit more hands on with some of the Microsoft hardware, but all in all a great experience! Parking can be hard to find as well.

It is an okay visitor center. Good that Microsoft actually has one as other tech companies don't. Some interesting exhibits but really it is just a place to play with Microsoft tech and games. Cool place to bring kids.

A nice visitor center. You'll be able to experience the flagships of MS.
However, I find it stupid that for a 1 hour visit you need to register your car to avoid a random parking ticket (in Redmond!). They have to change this one.

The best central offices of a company that I have known, is like a city that has all the services, including private transportation for visitors and employees with service on and off campus, there are restaurants, shopping malls, barber shops, a Microsoft store, coffee shops even to a bar.

If we didn't have GPS we would have never found this Visitor Center and Retail store. No signs except the cryptic "Building 92" and you see microsoft employees entering with a card swipe -- not inviting to the public at all. Inside the center is not much more than a Best Buy -- some of the nicer laptops and cell phones with windows 7... so what? Best part of the room was a projector setup that you can use the Kinect to do a bowling game. Generally the execution I thought was pretty poor -- no glimpses of the future. Retail shop is equally lame - lots of silly trinkets (pens, access card holders, lanyards) some shirts and laptop bags, when we tried to walk into the place where they sell software, the security guard told us it was only for full-time employees. WTF. Makes an Apple store anywhere look like a dream.

The Microsoft visitor center is pretty cool. It's inside the building with their store and there's plenty of parking out front. The center itself is a walk through history of Microsoft with interactive displays and photos, Xbox and virtual reality. It's a short walk through, but very neat. Across from that exhibit is the Microsoft visitor store. They sell clothes, cups, games, figurines from games, sounders fc merch, office things, etc etc.. It's a great little store and I'm sure you'll find something. Next to the store they have a coffee place with snacks and such. Overall, this was a cool trip, but don't plan to be there too much time. It's a short experience.

The visitor center is ok. It's pretty much a Microsoft store with some added information about the history of the company. But nothing really fancy. It's more interesting to actually walk the give campus here. You probably run into some Nerds here as well. But still grateful they offer a way to play with their toys here. There is also a company store where you can by branded merchandise. A must for Microsoft fans.

Very disappointed in the Visitors Center. You would think a company and technology leader would have more to display than just a Minecraft playing terminal. You would think they would demo some of the up and coming tech they are working on or at the least a out of the norm history of some of the company's major contributions to the industry. The only thing I could say was the campus was nice to see and well kept but just anti climatic.

OG, one of the most important places for one of the most iconic and important companies. This store was lovely and the ergonomic, architecture and interior decoration does play dividend to Microsoft. Highly recommend to visit this place as you see one of Microsoft's first stores and be able to buy goods and services directly from the factory!

Considering that this place is free, it is definitely worth visiting if you've never been here before. You get to walk through several interactive displays and can play different games at their Xbox One stations. There is also a large Microsoft gift shop with hundreds of unique items.

Our 2 young friends and junior from school (which is over 14000 miles away Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans School, Baroda, Gujarat, India) took pride to show us around this inspirational visitor center of Microsoft which has been the hallmark of worldwide transformation of how people viewed computers before 1990's and the entire world has gone digital. We really felt proud that lots of our alma mater students now work here for Microsoft or have worked at Msft at some point in time in their career.

Nice place to visit. The store sells several different items such as tshirts, magnets, caps etc with Microsoft product branding. There's also a nice photo of the initial staff of Microsoft and a brief summary of their careers since then. There are a few cool gadgets to play around with as well.

This is a review of the visitor center not Microsoft products or the organization. Microsoft missed an opportunity by putting very little thought into it. The center is not inspiring at all. They have a clever display paralleling old hardware with current software e.g. Huge video camera was replaced with Moviemaker and a typewriter was replaced with MS Office. MS has several products out to test drive, but there is little guidance to use the product and no one standing by to help. This could be a very cool experience, but right now it is not. Use a GPS or preprinted directions. There are no signs to help you navigate to the center underscoring that the center is off very low priority.
