Consistently delicious food. One of our favorite burgers in town!
Consistently delicious food. One of our favorite burgers in town!
Stopped in for breakfast. Food & especially service were absolutely top-notch. We would eat here again in a heartbeat.
Very good food, and service was good to, despite very busy time in the restaurant
Great place to eat if meeting up with friends! I'd highly recommend their wings and Reuben sandwich, though their menu overall is excellent.
I've never had an issue with the staff and seating is usually pretty easy to come by, especially when they open the patio.
Overall a very cool, clean place with plenty to offer. I'll definitely be back.
Great brewpub food (interesting burger options) and beer selections. Would go again.
Very calm atmosphere and welcoming staff. Great grad bar and free popcorn is always a plus!
Great drinks, friendly staff, and the food is always amazing.
Best french dip I've ever had, and they have bloody cheese curds! Just little fried balls of cheese! A miracle of American ingenuity, I'll tell you what.
Their Cheese fries are what brought my wife and I together. Seriously, we would go there every week for cheese fries just to see each other. Now we been married for 2 years and together for 4.
Great place! Food, staff, cocktails, and environment are all top notch. 11/10
The spicy turkey club with ranch is one of my favorite things to order. The veggie burger is also a great vegetarian option. In door seating always brings on a fun atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone in the Iowa city area.
Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, and delicious food!
The food was not good at all, and definitely not worth the price. I highly recommend going somewhere else.
We paid $50 and got a plain microwaved hamburger, soggy French fries and TERRIBLE Rueben. No thanks.
I mean, it's a college town bar, but a good one. Great food and great beer on tap.
Micky's was a good spot to watch some football and get some local beer while on the road. The beer battered chicken sandwich was amazing. I will say that after 9 or 10 the pbr/miller/coors specials kicked in and 90s rap music started and it turned into a college town bar. The Iowa band even came in and played for 10 minutes. I'd visit again but depending on my mood I know what time to get there.
Love Micky s every time we go! Great place for a quick bite during the week too.
Okay food but you get a lot of it, its decently priced, and very friendly staff.
Food was okay but beware when ordering pictures. Ordered a pitcher of Modelo and was charged $18 because the waitress thought it was a craft beer.
Modelo is not a craft beer.
We have ate here three times in the past few months and NEVER had anything bad. Their food is great, atmosphere fun, and their staff is awesome! We will keep coming back here or ordering online! Highly recommend.
Great food, disappointing service. Went in Sunday morning @1045 am - was told they had switched to lunch menu? Sat down, waited 10 mins for server to come over...told us kitchen won't be ready for lunch orders for another 15 mins, so we were just waiting / chatting at our table. Table across which was dirty, got cleaned & re-seated. Large party got their food, including what appeared to be an egg sandwich, and we are still waiting for our food. Went up to our server, who said it will be a few more minutes. Crazy - whatever system they have there needs to be fixed. Plain ridiculous!
An Iowa City classic. Those crinkle cut fries are the best.
Staff is friendly, food is amazing, great location!
My favorite place to go in Iowa City is Mickys. This place never lets me down and it feels like a second home to me. I will love it forever, and I'd love to get the coordinates of the location tattooed. My favorite server/bartender is Max.
Good food, curtious staff, above average drink selection. Good atmosphere inside despite it being a little cramped but even better outside.
We went there for breakfast because we were going to a Iowa Hawkeyes game that day and I ordered pancakes. Later after about 20 minutes, the waiter came up to us and asked us to say our order again. Then we waited for a while and finally left. But before we could leave, the waiter said our food was ready. But he gave us 50 % off and a 60 dollar gift card. The pancakes were bigger than my face and we got like five of them. They were really good and they were breakfast the next day. But the food was good, it just took a while. It was packed, because it was gameday.
Great service excellent soups, ham, swiss and Turkey was bland, needed a spicier sauce but filling
Really like the atmosphere! Had Chkn Tort soup, burgers and sweet potato fries. All were wonderful. Hood portion size.
This place has the best food for getting and recovering from hangover, but to top it off, the owners are the best people!
Mickey's always has great food and a lot of it. Great Irish pub atmosphere and the staff is very accommodating. We visit Micky's everytime we are in the IC area.
Great bar food. Good place to stop in for a bite and drinks.
Loved it. I had the Steve Winwood, my wife had the patty melt and my daughter had the french dip. I got a taste of all three and it was all awesome.
Excellent food and drink selection for a wonderful game day experience! My wife got to meet a renowned author as well!!!
Great service, decent food quality and a long menu!
The first restaurant I visited when I came to the city. Great pub food, amazing music, drinks. I'd come here to watch a game from the bar or happy hour or grab a meal at lunch or dine out for the evening. Always friendly staff.
Came in to have a drink sat down to watch basketball that was on. Only person watching that tv and they switched to a football game or something. So I left
Food is pretty decent, atmosphere is cool. Makes you feel like you're in an episode of How I Met Your Mother
First time to Micky's, very pleased. The food was great and the service was excellent. One of the best reubens around!
The service was great, but some old guy kept playing head-banger music on the jukebox until the bartender made him stop because it was annoying. Don't try to compete with your own jukebox selections; you'll just lose your money and others might hear your selections long after you're gone. Had to be there because my husband wanted to see the football game.
Great Irish Pub with reasonably priced food and drink. An Iowa City staple for us.
Update: who skips simple man? Paid money for a song and they skipped it. Didnt care that songs were skipped when the band came in. Love the band. But then they skipped my song after they left. Even asked why they skipped it. No answer. Not cool.
Pretty cool staff, free popcorn. Been here for both the bar and food a bunch of times. Typical bar food. Great drink menu and full bar. Establishment itself is clean. Large, safe stools
Mickeys has been my favorite for over 25 years. Food is good. Clam Chowder is the best I've ever had. The Conglomeration is a must-have signature sandwich. They do a great job with social distancing and wearing masks.
Service was poor. Gentleman that came in 10 min after us had food before us. We were only a party of 2. The hamburger was tiny and one the world's smallest bun. Quesdilla was brought out with no guacamole when asked they said they didn't have any. That's why I ordered it. The waitress didn't care or apologize. This is not the old Mickey's. Won't be back.
Chill bar. Small but comfortable. If you want a more relaxed environment, this is a great spot to grab a beer and catch up.
Probably my favorite casual dining downtown. Love their fries does in ranch and ahi tuna. wish they had a few more vegan options for my daughter so we could go there more often
The food is good almost anything on the menu will be good. But their ketchup isn t Heinz! It tastes very weird and gross.
Always great food, outdoor dining with great service!
The conglomerate is one of the best sandwiches you can get in Iowa city
Food and service were both great. Loved the Irish Margarita and their famous onion rings!
Definitely feels like an Irish Pub. Great decorations and a fun vibe. A bit crowded and loud. Not a lot of seating, but they also have outdoor seating when the weather allows.
Place is the same, the food is not the same...changed a lot!!
Great service. Good food and drinks at a decent price. Will go back for sure
Welcoming pub with great service. Watched the Iowa game while enjoying excellent burgers. Clam chowder was very tasty.
This place is awesome--take it from a small town college grad. This is a great University bar, with the casual, young, and energetic atmosphere you'd expect on campus, but also the charm and self-respect of a place worth visiting when you're years older and sleepier, but looking for a good time. Also.....prices can't be beat. I have expensive taste, and I made out drunk on decent scotch for less than $25. Seriously.
Oh!! The Reuben egg roles are supreme. Burger was great. I'll be back.
Burger and sweet potato fries were excellent. Really great atmosphere as well. Perfect for a college town.
Love the atmosphere! The food is amazing & the servers & bartenders always have a good time.
We are traveling and were treated to the venue. Fantastic service and food!
