Great place to hang out with family or friends! Cheap entertainment.
Great place to hang out with family or friends! Cheap entertainment.
What an awesome experience! My son and I drove over half a day to get to this ballpark so we could see our first Kernels game. We had a very nice time and he especially enjoyed meeting the mascot and getting the mascot's autograph on a baseball card.
This is what minor league baseball is all about! Great park and solid play. Had a fantastic experience at the park and interacting with staff - they love this team!
Class A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Kernels are always competitive in the Midwest League. They play at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Game are fairly inexpensive. Food and drinks prices are not bad. A good place to take the family.
Nice clean beautiful ballpark. Very friendly people and crowd
What a great treasure for the city. This is high value family entertainment in a clean, well run, centrally located facility. Prices are fair and the organization puts a winning product on the field. Having a regional MLB affiliate is huge and many quality players get their start here. Food and beverage options are good and well prepared. Good sight lines and stadium layout. Love spending summer nights here with family and friends or company outtings.
The employees were very good with my kids. Most smiled and were very knowledgeable. It was our first baseball game and we will be attending again..whenever possible.
Great fun for the whole family. Lots of stuff to do special nights for tons of prizes giveaways and even fireworks. Low admission. Good place for company events as well but needs to have more shading options for sitting areas
Great atmosphere and great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Love going to Kernal games great for friends and family alike. Also serve great food for a good price.
Wish the beer was better priced and the umps didnt stuck but place is fun
Always something entertaining here, super fireworks
What a great time, what a great ball park. Kudos to everyone involved there.
This is a really fun way to spend a nice summer/fall day outside! I was here for a work event so we had a reserved balcony. I would def come here again.
Always a fun time at the park. Great place to take the family on a summer night. Memory Maker.
excellent at playing that game, football? nah baseball.
Great local sports venue! Of course only open during the summer from April to September. A notable part of Cedar Rapids. Great for all ages, literally all ages. From grandpa to babies. Good ball park traditional food and speciality food too. LOTS of beer on tap and they have margaritas, ciders, IPA and even wine by the glass. Friendly, helpful, courteous staff who care about fans having the best experience. Never had a bad experience here to date.
Great atmosphere. Perfect park to enjoy a game. Not a bad seat in the house.
When you don't have a professional team it's better than nothing!
Nice park and great atmosphere. Too bad they want major-league prices for minor-league. Can't afford to go very frequently.
Great time for low cost.. Just feels good to see the kernels play
I mean, it's baseball! Who doesn't like it? I gotta say though, the food is a tiny bit overpriced...
So fun! Kernels are a great team! Good food and beer. Love fireworks shows!
Fun park. Always trying to entertain you. Great announcers. Good food. Cheap admission with fireworks included. Easy parking.
Wow! What a great time. Took my 7 year old nephew to see a game. The stadium is amazing. Very reasonably priced and a great, fun, family friendly atmosphere. We had so much fun. Saw a great ball game. Thank you to the Kernels organization for providing us with such a great experience. I highly, highly recommend taking in a game. It is an experience you will not soon forget.
Veteran's Memorial stadium, which contains Perfect Game Field, is a great place to go on a weekend! On Saturday Home Games, after the game, there are almost always firework shows, and they have a massive fireworks display on the 4th of July. They also have All-You-Can-Eat available for private events, although it costs over 500$ an hour for just hamburgers. They have roughly 10 Air-Conditioned suites (Diamond Suites) that go for around 500$ a game. These come with 20 tickets to the suite, and in-room service. There are season tickets available in the spring, if you want them.
Awesome family entertainment and America's pastime!
Nothing compares to going to a summer baseball game and having a cold beer.
If you are in CR during baseball season you cannot miss out on this fantastic low cost baseball experience!
What a great time you can have watching a baseball game and spending an evening in Cedar Rapids
Family fun! Memories that last a lifetime. The field looks so nice and the players really give it their all. Staff is friendly and crowd joins in with cheering, chanting and singing. What more could you ask for?
Since I posted this we have returned so many times. This past year we saw 2 concerts there - Hairball and Pork Tornados with different groups of friends and the consensus was overwhelming positive. We went to a Iowa Hawkeye Kernels game and saw Herky and Mr. Shucks together and we have had so many beautiful summer nights watching baseball.
Great venue! Has plenty of food types to appease any palette. Drinks and food are reasonably priced! Very fun and family oriented!
Very nice stadium for some family friendly entertainment.
Awesome baseball field! Clean. Friendly helpful people! Great ticket prices! Awesome gift shop!
This was an awesome time. They make it very easy to have your family at a ball game. The prices for food are great, the games are interesting and they had a little grass area for those who don t sit well in bleachers or chairs. There s some players up in the stands before the game signing autographs, it was so cool!
Always a fun day at the park! And the gluten free options are AMAZING! Whenever we go we don't have to worry about what we can or will eat!
The Kernals are a great time for kids, friends, and family!
Solid stadium. Good team.
Wish they had something to talk about the history of the team, other attractions around the park. That would make it more interesting walking around.
Had a great time last night at the game! Lots of things going on Princess day, tribute to breast cancer survivors, 2 dollar drinks, abd a wonderful firework display
Absolutely great ball field and amazing performance
The staff is always friendly and helpful as well as professional in their conduct. The on field contests are fun. This is a kid friendly venue.
Always have a great time here. Tonight was the first time to try a Philly Steak Sandwich, well I'm very disappointed. I'm not at all impressed with it. It's not a true Philly Steak Sandwich. It was a loose meat sandwich on a hoagie roll. Very misleading
Nice stadium, excellent sight lines. Pulled pork sandwich place shut down in the 4th inning but thats the only negative. Sell a wide variety of beer. Easy parking and get away.
Great family fun, if you love baseball this is it.
This is about the most fun you can have with a family or on an outdoor date in Cedar Rapids. The team is pretty good and the new stadium was a nice upgrade. This is where Cedar Rapids really shows off their weight problem. Tons of fat people inked up with ridiculous tattoos in the stands chowing down on over priced stadium food. Tickets are cheap though. The chick on the big screen in between innings is hot though.
Big bang for your buck in a very nice minor league stadium. Lots of promotions/contests to keep you engaged in between innings. Won't break the bank for a group/work outing. Lots of beer and vendors, and Mr. Shucks loves the kids. Great time out.
Great family night! Recommend doing the reading program for kids!!
It s been such a joy attending professional baseball games in Cedar Rapids from the time I was 3 years old until 2019 at age 67. I also enjoyed my part time work at the stadium as an usher during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. But, sadly, I think my time at the stadium has or quickly will come to an end, as I ve been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. What a joy it s been to meet so many great players, fans, and work with such stellar employees at the stadium. May professional baseball continue in Cedar Rapids well into the next century.
The Kernels show why minor league baseball is better. So much more fun and a great atmosphere.
Best family entertainment in the city of Cedar Rapids!
The only minor league baseball franchise that has host families for every player. What a great experience for both the players and families. The stadium is well cared for and there is not a bad seat in the place. It is easy to get there and no problem parking.
Nice ballpark. Good concessions, reasonable prices.
Good place to visit but as with any baseball stadium be prepared to pay for drinks and food. Not as bad as professional stadiums but still ridiculous in my opinion
A good minor league park. Not a bad seat in the house, usually some fun events going on for the kids too.
Great place for baseball, beer, peanuts, crackers jack but food is very mediocre. Staff and shop are great. Great cocktail made by the same staff person for many year. You will always. Find parking g
Great minor league ballpark with lots of food choices, decent prices. My only Complaint about it is that the souvenir shop really lacks in comparison to all the other minor league ballparks I've been too. They should really look into improving that.
Nice and clean facilities, very pricey but that is to be expected I guess.
