Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Review

Every 2 weeks I receive a notice for a $30 toll that I already paid 3 months ago. They only charge the date. The picture is the same. Best part is that I haven t had this temporary license plate since 2 month. It s in a drawer in my house but some how 2 weeks ago I have a toll charge of $30 for it. Another factor, I only drive my car to take my dog to the park and there is no toll what s so ever because it s 5 blocks away. SCAMMERS. Stealing money from tax payers. I anyone knows someone I can contact about this... I have pictures of the to notices and payment confirmation.

Thieves, plain and simple. Somehow my card was removed from my account. Now I owe $89. This is the second time it has happened to me. Last time it happened they had a system-wide issue where I was never notified all my card info was removed and I had a $225 balance. Sick of these people. They should be ashamed.

Received invoice for "toll Charges" for $4.20. One violation goes back almost one year. Great collection system.
Don't understand how this can happen, since I have automatic refill to my credit card.
Another great system is your Toll Free telephone. Wasted more than 30 minutes on the phone. Dropped calls, messages saying "unable to place the call now".
Fantastic way to use our money.

My car has an I as in it and a number 1, in its plate, Sunpass has old machines that do not recognize them correctly, representative claims new machines with cameras are now being installed but, to do the job correctly , I still have to pay an enormous amount of money even though it was their mistake.
Are we in a third world country? They steal from you in front of your face.
I asked to speak to a supervisor who took 29 minutes to answer and could not give me the phone number nor email address of their headquarters.
Anybody know this information that I need?
Please be careful if your plate have I s and 1 s.
My license of course will be suspended if I don t pay, how do you like that?
Representative said she will send a complaint to headquarters, I will wait and see if they will reply to my request, or perhaps she never sent it to the ghost headquarters.

Every few months I receive an invoice for a vehicle that isn't mine. Sometimes they show a blurry tag number but most of the time they show the tag and it's not mine. I just received one for a white BMW. Tag number isn't remotely close to mine. Call the number to file a dispute several times today. The prompt has changed from the last time I called in April and I wasn't able to get a human on the phone. Stands to mention the last time I got a representative on the phone rude isn't a strong enough statement to describe how I was treated.

The whole toll system makes it extremely unfriendly to visitors. To make it worse, signs on the highway are misleading and confusing and made it looks like EVERY SINGLE LANE is a toll lane. It is constant fear and frustration to drive in the city every day.

I have to be honest and say that they have already paid for the road ways with the tolls collected. We need to know where that money is going, our government is letting us down by having organizations that charge tax payers for something that is already paid for. I mean if they are gonna toll that much the should lower the cost...

Whose idea was it to give MDX control over the DMV? With that much power, MDX doesn't have to care about whether they are charging for tolls already paid by SunPass, or billing you 8-12 months after the fact, in large batches that you cannot pay all at once, so they can assess a ridiculous "collections fee." Because all they have to do is wait for your tag to expire and they'll get whatever amount they want, since even the DMV cannot override MDX's "registration hold."

I received a bill from MDX in the mail with a black picture and them claiming the car in the picture is my car. They kept explaining how it was my tag. I kept repeating how in the world can you tell it is my tag.... customer service is filled with robots. They can easily bill whoever they want when they can t read what car is in the picture. At the end of the day I still end up paying the bill even though they can t even prove it s me. NICE.
