The stunningly fresh small plates and outstanding cocktails make the new Mia -which just recently opened about 100 metres from the old one- a really amazing experience.
Staff is responsive, service is fast, design is outstanding and actually enhances the ambiance with some subtle high-end touches.
If you are looking for an affordable high quality Lebanese restaurant and shisha in London then Mia is a place you have to see.
Will definitely visit them again!

I do not usually review any restaurants but in my case I feel it is my duty to warn anyone who is thinking about going to Mia.

This place is a safety hazard and I have reported them to the following authorities with regard to the fire and safety concerns after my visit: City of London

I was there in the upstairs shisha area with a group of 4. As the evening went on the place became fuller and fuller. As this place at this point is grossly overcrowded, (I have inquired with the in my complaint to the City of London) on how many guests they are allowed to serve) of the employee's dropped a piece of burning coal on my coat and scarf which left holes in both. He did not even warn me of what was happening and stood there while looking at my belongings. There was no help, no warning whilst there was still burning coal on my chair. Not even a courtesy apology when I pointed out that this was completely unsafe and showed him the resulting holes in my coat and scarf he offered to pay for my scarf.

As we were waiting for the bill one of the other employees dropped a tray of drinks on top of a table, this while 4 customers were seated at this table, leaving glass everywhere and completely soaking my friends.

Mind you this place as at this point this place is even more overcrowded which meant that staff is literately knocking over people's property and menu while walking around with tray of food, drinks and burning coals. When we were settling the bill I reminded the staff about the damage on my coat to which point they then called the manager.

When I said no I am taking my scarf he invited me to speak with him in private after demeaning and intimidating me and my friends while claiming they are not liable for accidents. Which according to the following they are:
Government UK Fire&Safety Guidelines they are.

You are not safe here.

We only used the restaurant and we were very satisfied with both the service and the kitchen. Antonio served us, an energetic and energetic manager, but already with the London touch, passionate about his work and good at directing us. Excellent dishes, meats and vegetables of high quality with balanced spices that make sense the sense of Lebanese cuisine, falafel I think impossible to improve, as the final baclava, which was offered to us, absolutely fragrant and balanced. An address for the next visits to London, which is easy to find because it is very close to swiss cottage

Nice croud, good atmosphere, best place to spend any day of the week. Once you come here and enjoy, you will never gone regret it and won't go anywhere else!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Watch out for hassan, the waiter - this guy has poor communication skills (english needs some work). Starts shouting when he misunderstands your order and orders for you so be prepared for marmite flavoured shisha....
This guy should not be interacting with people face to face, instead, more suits a role where there are no customers involved, maybe a toilet cleaner.

Decent shisha, atmosphere and location, however the customer service was dire. Spent over an hour waiting for a starter, and despite such a prolonged wait, the waiter still gave us the wrong order.

Has to be one of the best hookah lounges in London. It has great shisha served in the starbuzz pipes, great clean lebanese food (not too oily) and they serve alcohol (one of the few lounges that do so. The shisha is only served on the top floor terrace, but there is also a fancy restaurant on the ground floor and a club in the basement (it can be hired). Staff is friendly and respectful, but at times the place gets full and rowdy and service can be a bit slow.

Way too overpriced for a shisha bar. Doesn't matter if it's based in Finchley. Shisha quality is not great. Their food is nice. But once again for a small cramped location not all that great. Their staff are rude and stuck up. No smile on their face, no hello how are you, and the European waitresses do not understand basic English. This one way the blonde female came to our table 3 times determined that we ordered 5 alcoholic beverages even though there was only 3 of us.

MIA lounge looks amazing from the outside, with a lavish staircase and funky lights, the restaurant has got a nice atmosphere, lovely and calm. But then you go to the shisha part which is upstairs and it is the complete opposite! It is loud, cramped and does not look lavish at all. It has no class whatsoever. The seats are so squashed together it makes it difficult to get in to the tables and put a shisha pipe down. The music is so loud, i couldn't even hear my friends talking and they were less than 10 cm away from me. Service is rubbish! Waited 20 minutes to just get a menu.

so the place is beautiful and everything was going perfectly until i walked up to a waiter and said i want the pastry dish thats with spinach i can't remember the name but it begins with F instead of saying heres a menu I'm not sure he said you want fatoush the fatoush arrives and i say i repeatedly asked is it the triangle pastry theres no puff pastry in fatoush he turned to my partner blamed me by saying she said pastry i told her fatoush is pastry she gave me the wrong order how did i i told him its a pastry dish beginning with F fatoush is a salad i didn't like being refered to repeatedly as she in a aggressive tone because the waiter is not familiar with the menu. compared to rozay in Hampstead here the shisha and tea come to 28.00 in rozay its 41.90 for the exact same thing so for that reason and the amazing clientele and pastry and mint tea is why I'll now be a regular customer here. only bad was the waiter hence 2 stars.

The food arrived and looked lovely.

The food arrived and looked lovely.
However when the salt came out looking orange, I opened the salt and pepper shaker and it was covered in rust and the rust was mixed in with the salt!!!!
Totally disgusting!!!
Who s responsible for checking the hygiene in this place??
Then I found a dead fly in my coke glass and a short curly hair in my fries.

I called the staff and although he replaced the salt (not sure what he changed as the salt still had orange rust in it but it was just a different shaker)....he refused to take off any amount off the original bill for the dreadful experience of dining there.
A dead fly, rusty salt and hair in my food and all he said was that they have no process for concessions when customers have substandard service.

I'm Lebanese and found this place incredibly disap...

I'm Lebanese and found this place incredibly disappointing and believe the whole place gives a bad name to Lebanon
The staff is incredibly rude: we all walked in and there was no one to greet us, not a single member of staff in view for over 5 minutes, after waiting we found an empty table and sat down, suddenly a member of staff appeared and told us off for sitting down in that particular spot and rudely demanded us to move to another table "you should never sit down wherever you want you know?" Said in an incredibly condescending manner.
After ordering our shishas the same member of staff said "I can't bring you these if you don't order drinks", we told him we were here for dinner as well and only wanted water but he refused to take our shisha order until we had ordered drinks that weren't water. So the shisha order was not taken because we didn't order drinks and he swiftly walks away angry even though we were in the middle of ordering food. (Literally walks away as one of us is mid sentence of what we'd like for dinner) I've never before seen a waiter with a superiority complex.
After spotting a waitress we take our food order and are finally "allowed" to order the shishas. We had to ask 5 times for water from 3 staff members, every time we'd ask for something they'd look at us like we were scum and just walk away.
When we finally got our water my friend asked for ice in her glass (6th time she asked for that) and the waitress just looks at her and walks off. After 10 minutes she asks the same waitress again for ice and she says "no we don't do that here you can't have ice for your glass". My friend then insisted and the waitress walked off angry and finally brought a glass with ice. It seems getting ice is like pulling teeth..
The food itself was nothing spectacular and mainly under seasoned. When we had all finished our food the staff did not bother to pick up the plates for 20 Minutes, the restaurant wasn't even full at this point.
Every time someone walked into this place there was no staff to greet them, they'd sit down at a random empty table and whenever a staff member showed up they'd tell them to stand up and change tables (I don't understand why they'd do this, is it for the power trip of demanding people to change spots? If you need so much control over where others sit then maybe be present to seat them in the first place!)

In conclusion the staff at this place is incredibly rude and should learn a thing or two about Lebanese hospitality and how to treat customers right. The price point is not worth it for what you get. The shisha is subpar and the food is average at best. I would never recommend this place and would avoid!

Rude waiting staff and terrible service. Incredibly pushy to constantly order even though we only came down for a shisha. We were harassed every few minutes.

I was witting at the back and the waitres served us after 30 Minutes, initially she was the only one in the floor so it's understandable but her colleagues could have helped her more once the place got busy. Food wasn't particularly good and the shisha flavour seemed old. Not impressed

I used to go to the old mia before it closed down apart from the long queues it was quite nice and decent priced. However since it re opened the shisha section is definitely not as nice as it used to be and the shisha prices have increased a lot. Shisha used to be around 15 pounds for a standard shisha ( al fakher not starbuzz) but now it's 25. Despite the price increase I still went a few times when it first opened because a few of my friends like to drink and it's one of the few shisha cafes that have alcohol and it was ok. However since they have now got a new security guard who is extremely rude I would not go back there again. I went last night and he rudely insisted that we had to wait by the door even though it was freezing cold as the shisha bar was full. His exacr words were "where do u think your going" not exactly the best way to speak to potential customers!!! There were several seats downstairs in.the the restaurant bit which he did not not let us sit on until we could be seated upstairs. On top of that he also told my.friend she had to remove her wolly hat as it was not allowed even though the place is open upstairs!!!! If you want a relaxed shisha evening with decent prices I would certainly advise against going there .. Try sandflames or banc much better customer service and value for money! !

Love the environment. Tables are a little too close for comfort and being chucked out after 2 hours even when you're still buying things seems unnecessary.
Beautiful set up and good service.

Great shisha(frozen blueberry is really good) and tasty food. Venue is warm.
However usually very busy and cramped, during peak times you can barely move . Service can also be lacking at times.
This is my go to spot, it is very close to Swiss Cottage station on the jubilee line, so its very easy to get to from Central London.

Very romantic and well-decorated Arabic place. It has three floors. The basement is for dancing and drinks. The first and the second floors is for restaurant and shisha lounge respectively. The sea base and grilled meat are highly recommended, albeit the dish is quiet small.

Receptionist was lovely , but manager and staff were disgusting. Mannerless idiots with no idea on how to run a place. Unprofessional, made my friends feel uncomfortable. Place is trash. Will never be going back, I advise to avoid like the plague. If only 0 star was an option.

Bunch of fools.

All I can say is , not everything is as good as it looks. Service wasn t quite what I expected it to be, very slow. Also the price certainly doesn t match the quality of the Shisha. However the shawarma which I had was in fact tasty but the size of the portion was disappointing.

I had shawarma hummus with lamb which was really nice, and a Bueno milkshake which was also reallllly nice. The Shisha was good and priced like normal Shisha spots. I found parking pretty easy as you can park on the red route from 7pm. Our server was nice and cheerful. All in all I had a good time.

Booked a table for a large group yesterday. I swear this place has the slowest service ever. We got there before 7:30, had left the restaurant at 10:30. The food was nice but took ages. After everyone had paid, I was made to pay for three drinks extra for which no one had. Then went shisha upstairs where the service was as slow where I only had my shisha for 10mins otherwise I would miss the last train and still had to pay the full price.

Went there for a wedding. Food was all good and fresh, drinks nice and cold. Can't fault it really apart from the lack of space, but it's Finchley, so be glad to have any space! Staff are friendly and polite and they let us wait inside for a taxi despite being closing time.

I don't usually write review but in my case I feel it is my duty to warn anyone who is thinking about going to Mia Lounge. It was the most awful experience of my life. The staff were unnecessarily rude and very aggressive towards me and other diners.
It took over an hour and a half for us seated in the shisha lounge and we squashed into a tight corner.

Overall it was a terrible experience, you couldn't even pay me to do back!
