I have been coming here for years never ordered the tamales. I decided to give them a try. I ordered a dozen of pork tamales. I ended up with sweet tamales with nothing in them but raisins. I called them back and they reply with I been working here for 10 yrs I don t make mistakes. So I threw everything in the garbage and had to order food somewhere else. All the years of coming here and all the money I spent here I wish I can take back. They lost a loyal customer due to their mistake. Maybe they should have employees that speak English taking carry outs.

One of my favorite traditional Mexican restaurants in Southwest Detroit. Their tacos are amazing and cannot be beat for price and quality. Their salsas are SO fresh and delicious. Service is excellent, beer selection solid, and the pitchers of margaritas are a great idea if you are going drinking with a group of friends or family. Takeout service is fast and accurate too! Highly recommend!

Authentic Mexican food in a nice family environment. Great service and is busy most evenings.
It is best to call ahead and make reservations which usually ensures a table from within 5 to 30 minutes. It's good practice to ask for the wait time to assure good planning.

From California so my bar for authentic Mexican food is high...the chips and salsa was average and nothing special. The tacos we had were subpar. The fajitas had too much cheese and missed the authentic Mexican flavor. The margarita was pure sugar - if you re looking for a canned margarita flavor go with the margaritas.

I come from the motherland and that means that from time to time I get homesick, therefore, since I've been in Michigan I've been trying different Mexican restaurants and this is the first restaurant that has an impressive and authentic menu, the food is as great as you can get due to the ingredients sold here in the US, but this is a place that has to be visited if you like Mexican cuisine.

Great Job!!!

A few things that I'll be reviewing. 1st thing is cleanliness. Although the restaurant seemed clean, I couldn't help but smell this really weird smell and I couldn't get over it the whole time I was there. 2nd, the food was not that great. Pictures might make it seem that it is but it wasn't. I make better guacamole at home. This guac was didn't have enough salt, not enough cilantro, and not enough lime. The tacos had a really weird taste to them. Not sure if it was the bread itself or the chicken. The quesdillas were not bad. The milkshake actually tasted pretty good to my surprise! 3rd, we complained to the waiter that we asked for cheese on one of our tacos and we wanted that order taking off of the bill since it wasn't eaten but it was added anyway. All in all, I won't be coming back nor do I recommend this place.

Some of the best Mexican I ve had anywhere. Drove from Royal Oak to try it, and definitely worth the trip. Food is excellent, service was friendly, fast and accurate. Also like that they have an enclosed parking area just for their restaurant. Highly recommend.

Definitely the best place to get authentic Mexican food in Detroit (and probably the Metro Detroit area). They're definitely busy so I would recommend calling ahead. I look for it (the menu, the prices, taste, the consistency) in every city I'm in LOL
